Fena: Pirate Princess: OST & OP & Taiyou no Kouro ENG ver in Junna's "Dear"

Ohh tru I'm also thinking that was the case will remove that sung to avoid confusion

Edit: Uhh the dreaded OP huhu I'm not feeling it for now :hide: Not sure there's something not clicking in the song for me lol

I think it's fine for what it is from the PV. There's no sudden hard keychanges (there's a bit of drum buildup to it). The strings aren't hectic.
It's certainly no song of the year but it sounds fun enough, not dank. Also helps JUNNA isn't screaming.

JUNNA x Kajiura, didn't expect her "just" powerful voice to match Kajiura's more "harmonic" style, but it definitely does :)
Can she compose for Walküre already? ^^ If she can't do Gundams, let her do some Macross pls :3

「the sea and a pearl」作詞・作曲・編曲:梶浦由記 英訳詞:Joelleも収録
-> lyrics by Kajiura... and translated by Joelle?

Btw RIP the FictionJunction project (FJ JUNNA could have been a second step after LiSA for a next release but seems like it didn't work at all)

Kajiura unrelated but I like the ED too, although being more average Anisong

Time to party hard with Bokura no Senjou before this new single.

EDIT: gotta admit AKINO could have been a good choice too, considering she has good "sea songs" in Kancolle.

There is also a comment of Junna on the Fena website.

This time, I am very honored to be in charge of the opening theme "Sea and Pearl" of the wonderful work "Pirate Princess". And I'm really happy to have the opportunity to make music with Mr. Kajiura (Yuki). When I first listened to the song, I was excited to see what kind of story would start. In the recording, Mr. Kajiura directed and sang with a magnificent view of the world and with determination. I hope you can feel the feelings of the characters who are starting a new adventure in the music. I hope it will be a courageous song that can push the backs of everyone who listens.

the info also says will be karaoke tracks in the disc, 4 tracks in total.

I'm pretty sure it says 4 tracks PLUS 3 karaokes.

If that's correct, I would guess the japanese and english versions would have the same karaoke and hence the difference in number of tracks. But jvc likes including backing vocals so that wouldn't really work with what I'm saying so I'm clearly just talking out of my ass.

Skipped through it for music and nothing to say really. The strings in the e.guitar track aren't that standard for Kajiura. Not that they are great.

It's almost too similar. I know, she tries to be different in all soundtracks, but then sometimes can sound similar, still. It's like when the longing song in SAO sounded exactly like to the beginning. *sigh* Well, the other songs should be good, though.

AFAIK Sony has nothing to do with JVC/FlyingDog who are producing the music for the show, so that would be a stretch.

This has me wondering, what is kajiura’s relationship with flying dog now that she managers herself?

I'm so confused. ;P

Why would it be bad? Clearly she's working on Fena.
Oh I don't mean whether it's good or bad, it's more like...what are they? Is a record label different from a management company? I don't know anything about the music industry so that's why I asked.
