Can I clarify something? When crunchyroll says summer anime, do they follow the usual animu in Japan schedules? Like weekly? And most summer animes premiere in July but it was just announced suddenly so it might get delayed then?

Seriously, almost reusing swordland when its one of her most popular bgms these days ? And in vanitas we had the madoka bgm 😑. Come on Kajiura, so difficult to come up with new melodies for trailer bgm / main theme ? Its killing the hype every time.
 
I saw ‘Crunchyroll Original’ and immediately worried that it would look like Ex-Arm, but thank goodness it’s IG.

Also, yeah, very Swordland-like melody. I still kinda like it though. Strangely it fits the pirate setting.

Anyways, new project, woo!
 
Forgive my ignorance, but has the "Crunchyroll Original" has nothing to do with the music?
- will they sell the soundtrack physically in japanese stores?
- any chance for digital soundtrack streaming?
- who cares, but will the show and soundtrack be eligible for awards like the Newtype Awards?

Something I thought about:

Maybe Kajiura wrote for SAO Progressive and this around the same time, and similar for the new Madoka movie and Vanitas, and thats why melodies overlap lol. Do remember this has happened before when SAO first came out with "he rules us" and then we saw the same melody in Fate Zero in the track "you re my king".

so the title is Fena the pirate princess. presumably this is after Xena the Warrior Princess? I always thought Xena would be a good inspiration character for Kajiura.

The percussion at the beginning was lovely. The fight bgm sounds fine but it's strings yet again. I'm convinced at this point that Kajiura just records a bunch of stuff at once and slides them into soundtracks interchangeably.

This music sounded much better than the other one.

However im missing A.Guitar fast play ala Akatsuki no Kuruma. Why does it have to be strings all the time ? Since when pirates have strings quarter in a ship ? Guitar would be much more likely ...
