Probably. Btw, PS Anthology has a decent intro FMV for FF2 (much better designs than what they offered us in the PS/GBA ports of FF5 :blood: )
Btw, I tried FFTA2 the other day. Got wiped out during the first mission. :ohoho: :XD:

But its a tactical RPG, not a strategy. :sparkleguy: (A strategy would be something like Civilization 4 or Nobunaga's Ambition :ayashii: )

^I've seen my hubby playing all Tactics :listen: It's strategy to me :XD:

P.S.But i thought there were better strategic games out there from those you mentioned :sparkleguy:

maybe there are :XD: Like Starcraft or something. I'm not that much into strategies, although Civilization 4 (and HoMM4, although its trategic nature is debatable) are among the few PC games I like to play (me being mostly a console gamer :ohoho: ).
As to the difference, strategies are heavily based on resourses and development. Cities/forts, fossils, materials, maybe economics and trade... Tactical RPGs are your usual RPGs, but centering around chess-like turn-based battles on predefined maps. So FFTA, Fire Emblem, Shining Force, Summon Night, Luminous Arc and most of Nippon Ichi Software works are tactical RPGs. :glasses:

I know Nick :listen: I mean all the games where you have to use 100 characters look the same to me :XD:

Although my hubby's favorite game is FF Tactics :uh..:

I like rpgs and mmorgs but not tactical-rpgs and strategy games.

It's just a redirect link that remains. :XD:
As to FF2, it looks like one of the main features was left untouched. Since 1988, this game is known to place few obstacles on the world map... effectively letting you to wander into something you're far from ready-to-face. :plot:
It's odd, though, that when I played it on NES, I didn't experience any problems with that... or did it have to do with the rom in question being some "special edition" hack? Maybe they toned down the issue... :confu:
Still, FF2 sports one of the most memorable development systems in the series. :sohappy:

Yes... thanks to that I died so many times... :shy:

I failed to finish my GBA FFT... :V: I lack of skills..... hehehe

@Nick Hunter: My brother played Suikoden before. The game is interesting. But it isn't for me... hahaha~

Yes... thanks to that I died so many times...

thanks to the map arrangement or to the development system? :confu: :XD:

I have Suikoden Tierkries, but I want to undub it befiore playing (the English cast is really overacting :blood: ). And I'm also neck-deep in several other games, even though I honestly try to beat one at a time (I have Rune Factory unfinished, yet I also ventured deep into Tales of Innocence and Avalon Code, and now into Ragnarok DS as well... :spotlight: :@_@: :XD: ).

^ both? Hahahahah!!!

Right now I'm playing FFI & Secret of Mana (both ipod)...
And now... FFIII for iphone is out, I don't know... After this 3 games at one time??? :ohoho:

^ :XD: yabai~ I don't know.... can't.... stop.... playing.... JRPG... I want to finish it all. :shy:
BTW..... I have FFIII in my ipod now~~~~ :sohappy: I wonder which one I will finish first! :@_@:

I'd be glad to play it nonetheless. :tea:

Tifa, Aerith and Yuna are great additions, but I want Relm, Yuffie and Rydia as well! :wai:

yabai~ I don't know.... can't.... stop.... playing.... JRPG... I want to finish it all.

Same here, and I also have DQ3 on NES to finish (although I'm not sure if I' anywhere near finishing it right now :XD: ).
Last night I tried Atelier no Annie and enjoyed it a lot (those who come up with the idea of OFICIALLY leaving Japanese voiceovers should get immediate promotions :V:), but the experience is really spoiled by my trembling upper screen. looks like I'll have to save up for repairs, after all :uh..:

A

I love Sakamoto Maaya, I love her voice, but I don't like Lightning...

:uh..:

(Same situation with Ranka Lee, I love her voice, I love Nakajima Megumi, but I hate Ranka Lee)

Have been playing from V to X-2.

VI and IX are imo the best FF games out there.
X-2, however.... For people who hasn't tried it, here is a recipe on how to make your protagonist:

Take one female protagonist from the series and add to a bowl.
Then, take a street-walker and stir it until it is completely bland.
Add skanky clothes and alter one of the female prtogonist's name.

There, that's X-2 for you.

(Also, Dissidia is so much fun :D )
