In top 2: Akiko Shikata, bôa (Jasmine Rodgers) and The Delgados (Emma Pollock).

In top 3 are lots of artists, i can't mention all.

Eh, I thought I had answered this question already. Anyway...
- Tsukiko Amano
The goddess of epic songs. Koe, Chou, Kakan, Hakoniwa...the portfolio is extense and fantastic. Also, her strong voice is definitely fantastic, my favorite singer of everything. But it's just a pity that she can't do the same live ¬¬

Favorite songs: Koe, Chou, Kakan, Hakoniwa, Tsuki, Utakata, Niji, Tsurugi, Kyodaiju, Hisui, and so goes on...

- Do As Infinity
Love their pop-rock style and Van's voice. They're also responsible for most of my favorite lyrics for a song, such as ROBOT, Fukai Mori and Yesterday & Today. Together with Amano, they're definitely my favorite artists. But since their comeback I've not found THE SONG, apart from Umareyuku Monotachi e.

Favorite songs: Field of Dreams, Gates of Heaven, Fukai Mori, Umareyuku Monotachi e, Boukensha Tachi, Shinjitsu no Uta, TAO, Under the Moon, Yesterday & Today, Eien, and the list goes on...

- Ayumi Hamasaki
GODDESS! :shy: So many different songs in such a long-standing career. I will confess that her voice is not what really draws me but rather the arrangements AND the lyrics (Endless Sorrow FTW!). She takes the third place in my heart :dote:

Favorite songs: immature, Endless Sorrow, No Way To Say, SEASONS, Far Away, appears, As if, SURREAL, Fly High, CAROLS, Moments, RAINBOW, HANABI, Dolls, and the list goes on...

Ai Maeda - This is my childhood, and I love her songs until now.

Favorite Songs: Find Out, My Place, Itsumo Itsudemo, Ashita wa Atashi no Kaze ga Fuku, Friend ~Itsu Mademo Wasurenai ~, Stand By Me ~ Hito Natsu no Bouken ~, Bokura no WAR GAME, Akiramenaide, My Tomorrow, Days ~ Aijou to Nichijou ~, Keep On, Himawari, An Endless Tale (with Kouji Wada), Itsudemo Aeru Kara, Yuuhi no Yakusoku, Starting Point (with Kouji Wada and Oota Michihiko)

5th place: Kalafina (maybe)

After those I don't know how to place them in order, but they're basically just as special as the ones mentioned above:

Joe Hisaishi - Studio Gibli is <3

They all incl. Yuki Kajiura are my #1~ omedetou!

The list below is the other artists that like. They can fill the no.2, 3, 4, 5, etc spot based on their songs in the current day, week, month, year or my mood (haha!)

I used to like her too, but what's going on with her latest songs?? Born This Way I found really boring, and that newest one about Judas...well, when I heard the chorus, aside from differences in melody it sounded like the chorus for Bad Romance. Plus she's talking, which is a little strange.

I don't know, I just think she might be losing some inspiration :uh..:

At the very least, I loved Alejandro and still do :dote:

@Special_K: i also listen to Strauss,Brahms and Oshima Michiru

:XD:

Well, I'm sure you can roughly make out from my list, apart from Mozart and Boccherini, the rest are largely Romantic/Russian composers. Strauss and Brahms (he's Romantic! :psst:) great too. As are some of the other greats like Paganini, Beethoven, Vivaldi and Scarlatti (check out Horowitz and Argerich for interpretations). :dote:

It's a real shame classical music (in general, not referring to the era) is still largely under-appreciated, though.
