Akiko Shikata

Activity. I like this :D
So, the new song is titled "Toumei Nostalgia", but the release can be next year with a new album or a single for another anime/game... like LOST CHILDREN/Akakakushi [VII is a exception].
 
So has anyone alse heard those comments about Akiko that the two live videos that are on youtube are playback? (I mean Luna Piena and Ave Maria). I wonder if that's true. It's true that she sounds great on those two,but i haven't seen any more lives from her(or heard) on any of her songs with many voices layers(or whatever you call that).
 
The HATS music fes 07 videos definitely don't look or sound live to me (as far as Shikata's vocals go) but who knows - there's definitely more than one voice singing the main melody in those videos so maybe some of the whispery soft vocals in there really are recorded from that mic.

In any case, as it's a DVD release, it wouldn't really matter to me in a "can she or can she not" debate.

^Yeah but she makes you wonder why so few lives,and so little time given (like:Ok folks,next month i have a live) and why no DVD realeses of her lives.

Everyone hopes for a Laylania dvd,but i don't think she will please us.(but old discussion is old anyways.)

Yep. I really recommend watching ANIMELO 2010 live stream rips and then the DVD/BD release. It's an amazing experience. :) You may never look at Live DVDs the same way again.
 
Well, she is definitely singing over the original track in the Ave Maria live that I've listened to (if you pay attention, you can hear 2 Akikos; my ears could be deceiving me, but I hope not). Anyway, I'd really love to listen to her sing live, but it won't really matter to me, because I'm more into her compositions than her voice.

Indeed,me too,as in the start i didn't even like her voice :XD: I like it now though.But still her compositions/arrangements are the most important part for me in every song.

No, you are right, I already mentioned this. There's definitely more than one voice singing the main melody but whether it was really recorded live we can't be sure from those videos. :)

And then the DVD postprocessing issue remains.

Okay, sorry for repeating what you said. I skipped that post it seems. ^^;

It would be nice if we could find a review from anyone who attended the concerts. With her tickets being so scarce and expensive, I am expecting epicness (though I am ready to be disappointed).
 
It's cool.

I really recommend ANIMELO 2010 livestream (if you can still find it) and DVD again. You can see how many of the performers are actually capable of doing decently live and what a big LIE those DVDs are.

Yeah you could do that topic.It would be interesting to read since i didn't even have idea how much was everyone editing their live dvds..
