I finally watched it yesterday, and I thought it was great, but I also ended up worried about Wakana because she seemed to be struggling way too much even though she wasn't the lead singer for any of the songs in the last block. It didn't seem to me like a lack of rest, because the other girls were singing even more, and she wasn't the main except for Kyrie, yet she seemed like she was literally suffering up there.

Since a lot of people were saying that Hikaru was bad I was worried, but I thought she has improved a lot when compared to Red Moon (and I liked her in Red Moon haha). She has a lot more control of her voice now, and the soft inflections she gave to her voice in Neverending and Sandpiper were really pretty :shy: I was afraid that after all the running and jumping around she'd end up shouting like in some Red Moon performances, but that didn't happen. She did shout the "DAN DAN chikaku natte yuku" in one of the final choruses of Love Come Down and during her first stanza of Fantasia, but I think she was too excited trying to pump up the crowd and jump around, she's definitely gotten a lot better anyway, I'm proud of her! :sohappy:

Keiko was great as usual, but I did notice her trying to sound cutesy in some songs (mainly In Your Eyes) which didn't work for me, I prefer when she does her lovely voice thing much better :whip:

And yeah, I'm just very worried about Wakana, I don't know what happened to her. She didn't sound bad, but she looked like she was about to Faint sometimes for how much she was straining herself...

Just re-listened to Kugatsu. I love the violin replacement of flute, it makes the song even sadder than before. Everything was perfect until the kajiurago. Wakana's falsetto was terribly ugly.

Sorry, but it does sound really ugly. Her voice movement from normal voice to falsetto, especially. It doesn't smooth anymore as it used to be...

I finally got to watch Ongaku today.
Seriously, there is something wrong with Wakana. More than her performance, what worries me is how much she is struggling to try to sing it. This can't be normal.

I'm beginning to really worry about her too. I listened to some tracks of this live and she's really straining herself. Something's wrong.

To be honest, when I re-listened it, Wakana already strained herself since red moon, getting worse at adore, and from Kugatsu (the kajiurago part was ugly) till the end.

I really worried about her too. And Cerise's research on Vocal Range thread is even made me worrier. Just pray the best for her :)

I just noticed, while watching a few songs last night, that the DVD menu says "Spcial Live".

Ah, Sony. :XD:

KITAAAAAAAAA~~~ :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:

Bluray finally arrived...I only watched red moon, probably won't be able to watch the whole thing til Friday, but I'll post my thoughts on it after :sparkleguy:

:sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

As an aside, I was pleasantly surprised that they played adore. iirc it's only a B-side, so I wasn't expecting that.

I don't usually expect everything on a live performance to be as perfect as the studio version...they can't go back and try again with another take, after all! Because of that, I'm actually okay with little mistakes here and there. I guess I just think of it as a trade-off since some aspects of the live version might be even better than their on-record counterparts. That's what makes live music such an awesome thing for me.

The issue of Wakana's possible health problems is a different matter though, and if a dopey guy like me noticed something was amiss, there must be something wrong. My own view is that it's simply over-work from the number of live shows and the frequency of recording sessions, so after they've wrapped up the current tour and their commitments with Fate/Zero's promotion I think the three of them would deserve a few months' break.

:psst: :ohoho: and the fact that they always forget the "E" like in Los Angels, Spcial Live :XD:

It's their company. It would be totally stupid if they forgot it...
