Yuki Kajiura LIVE vol.#21 - 60 Songs (July 26 - August 24, 2025)

I have to reiterate that the YK+J+K trio in that concert was for me the new prime trio! The stability and seasoned tone/harmony they had together was like a final form of the trio format in my opinion, because of the range (pitch and register), blend, and how they could switch high low or mid comfortably.

Sadly, it only lasted for a little while not to be seen again. 😭

I will miss Keiko for this YKL21, there's no doubt about that.

Absolutely.

But on ykl20 people apparently moaned 2muchJoelle2muchEnglish. And if we look at vol14 without Keiko, what do we see? Another English block.

So... I hope they consider not doing it again...

Interestingly, Emiko Suzuki seems to be able to sing in English at least a bit (from some listening on her YouTube). Anyway, I suspect Kajiura has more options for leads in unexpected ways. Joelle and Yuriko are virtually harmony twins, so they can support all types of main lead/duet.

I think Kajiura should do a lot more kajiurago songs for atmosphere and have seamless transitions into lyric songs.

After so many years I'll be able to finally attend a Yuki concert this year and complete an item of my bucket list. 🥰
I'm going to one of the last four. I'd nice if I can meet someone from the forum.

Although it made me very sad to know that Keiko won't be participating. I totally understand why she preferred to not invite Keiko anymore, but Keiko has a unique sothing and beaufitul voice that will be missed. Emiko seems a good singer (her style reminds me of Anna Tsuchiya) but I prefer Keiko still. And personally think that she will avoid performing Kalafina songs during this year. Hopefully this is not forever and next year things change though...

I'm so glad I managed to see my first YK concert live with Keiko in Malaysia, didn't think I would get to hear my long forgotten cloistered sleep live. I have no attachment to Kalafina at all so I don't really care for the disbandment/reunion but seeing Keiko go is really sad (at least for the live performance).

But live performance aside, Kajiura's new releases is still something to look forward to and maybe one day she's feeling silly and finally release that Syaoran Awakening ost in Tokyo Revelation lol.

Might be OOT but has she ever performed Sis Puella Magica ? I only heard the prelude one.... Hopefully one day she will, with ship of fools and Hanae fairyland.
 
Apparently, they posted a trailer (teaser) for the #21 live a few days ago on FictionJunctionStation channel. I couldn't help but notice that they were trying to exclude any Keiko scenes or heavily edit to make her less visible. I still can't wrap my head around this whole issue. I mean I'm content with the line-up and all guest vocalists but it's just something...
Edit: @grunty has pointed out that it was a scam channel. Thank you. It had taken me surprised by the title and the line-up.

I don't get if she's gonna play 60 songs through the whole tour or 60 songs in one day... I think that in the second post she mentions something like a "suite" or a medley, that could make possible to perform 60 titles.
 
Isn't it possible? Alone~Bloody Rabbit~Contractor medley is 8 minutes, 15 medleys could be around 2 hours (45 songs). The runtime for Vol.# 20 is actually 2 hours (~24 songs). Make shorter medleys and you will fit 60 songs in one day lol
