It's distributed by Sony and published by Sunrise, does it mean anything about the composers for the next live-action adaptations of anime?

#175 The Wheel of Time Vol.1 / Lorne Balfe
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zhu1COJQxIThe first score covering the first 3 episodes from the series is out.
What is wrong with the video quality of the series? Saw it directly on Amazon Prime and a super big TV...
And where's the budget lol? non-cgi cheap costumes monsters and special effects from the last two decades.

The amazing music from the series was first introduced with the release of The Wheel of Time: The First Turn, a conceptual album from Balfe which includes 14 tracks and introduces several key themes for characters from the Prime Video series.
Each theme tells the story of a character, place, or idea in Old Tongue, a language unique to the universe of The Wheel of Time.

The Wheel of Time: The First Turn (Nov 11) -> "Suites" for Season 1 or the whole show?
The Wheel of Time Season 1, Vol. 1 (Nov 19) -> Episodes 1 to 3
The Wheel of Time Season 1, Vol. 2 (Dec 3) -> Episodes 4 to 6 ?
The Wheel of Time Season 1, Vol. 3 (Dec 17) -> Episodes 7 to 8 ?

If this answers your question?

I do like this trend to make music both for the show (film-scoring) and beyond the show (suites).
If only Kajiura was still doing it (the great KnK era)... tired of her music that can't be fully enjoyed without the show.

Not really lulz but I'll take it. I didn't really care for that first album (maybe I should revisit it once everything is out) but this one was pretty enjoyable to me. Certainly more than his His Dark Materials.

Re: suites/film-scoring, I think this Vol.1 would still count as an album rather than film scoring (though I've not seen the show). "The Hunt" certainly sounds like 2 separate tracks that didn't need to be mixed together. But that's me liking my tracks with proper intros/outros...

Lol I didn't get it then.
You're right, "The Hunt" is two tracks and was actually the one track that confused me. Others seem more film-scored but I may be wrong too.
At least more like an attempt of blending well than actual film scoring... but still taken straight out of the concept album I guess.

Funny cuz I do enjoy the concept album way more than this one (2/5 max in my ratings). We're like cats and birds lol
Enjoyed the music in the show though.

Yea, it's quite interesting. Being around other Kajiuratards is like being at a Junction of tastes indeed. ^_^

Also, while I said I found this one pretty enjoyable, it's not like OMAHGAD11/10. I don't imagine I'll be going back to it often. ^_^
