Waiting for Yuki Kajiura LIVE vol.#4 PART1 DVD

Wakana doesn't look all blank :uh..: but Yuriko Kaida does

well, yeah. YUUKA's superior than WAKANA in breath section :spotlight:

and their voice characters are different :...:

but I have soft spot for voice like WAKANA's :hearts:

Well, Wakana's face is not always blank, just as Yuuka's isn't always, either. (I do also have a soft spot for her voice, too. And Keiko. And Kaori. Sigh.)

T_T im getting preety desperate here it hasant arrived yet i hope itsot in customs T________T i hate those customs bastards! :uh..: :omgwtf:

T_T in october like 9th i preorder , but then i had to wait cause they didnt have supliers «« soooooo it was shiped almost 3 weeks ago «« shish

That sux bad Lyhs...I got mine a week after everyone else and its neatly tucked away in my cd case never to be seen again :shy: At least not any time soon.

I agree completely minikui :dote: Yuuka is my least favorite of all...even the composition of her songs are just plain and boring to me no offense to Yuki. In other words she feels mainstream when in reality if that is the venue she is going for then there are countless mainstreamers who are better.

I mainly wanted the DVD to see Hikaru-chan :XD:
After the first few performances I was like...this is kinda boring but at least Yuriko and Hikaru are there so its worth it.

I am excited to hear her single though.

I don't remember having seen this information here, so I post it:
The LE version of the DVD is, as guessed, packed in a black cartoned box with a "window" which lets a part of the DVD cover visible.
What's interesting with CDJapan, is that I always get their e-mail asking me to rate the transaction the same day as I get the item. Yesterday the mail-man delivered me late in the afternoon, but I got the survey e-mail the morning, I was thinking "Hey, I can't rate now, I don't have the item"... :XD:

My DVD is in the way to my home. But I had the opportunity to watch the RIP yesterday (not with Yurika-chan's link, however) and I found it quite great, maybe Yuuka has less "vocal personality" than the other ones but I still find her great.
However, the 2008/07/31 stage still was better.
For me... Live#2 is so superior...lol.. (Because it has Eri Itoh... :dote: ) However, Eri and Yuuka are my favourite vocalists of Yuki.., but in the different ways..lol. Yuuka live performance may not as awesome as other FJ girls, but the characteristic of her voice and her emotional singing style made me fell in love since the first time I've heard her voice, and I did LIKE Eri's voice when I listened to the OST, but she made me CRAZY when listening her singing on stage.. :dote: .

Moreover, I think that Yuuka singing is more emotional than all other FJ girls.., even her technique is not as good as others. It's just like one of her trademark for Yuuka's fan.. Kaori and Keiko is a kind of energetic singers.. they express their emotion in the opposite way, while I think Wakana and Yuriko is not good at expressing the EMOTION of the song. Their songs is moving my heart, but it's because of the beauty of their voice and the songs, not the emotion of the songs. (However, Wakana did quite well in some songs.., but not as much as Yuuka.)

As for the breath section, I think you can't compare the taking breath management of Yuriko and Wakana in Live#2 and Yuuka in Live#4, because the songs that Yuriko and Wakana took part in Live#2 has higher tone and more difficulty than Yuuka's songs, and their part need to take MORE BREATH than usual. I can't blame them for that, but I always mention that it would be better if they can manage it better, esp. Wakana.

I remember someone said that Wakana improved, and now sings without breathing too much.

Really? Well, they will eventually improve their singing technique. They need our support :cheer:

I always prefer Yuuka and Kaori for doing live performance. While Keiko, Wakana & Yuriko.. I remember I watch one of their live which is... ugh.. I don't like it.
That's before I bought vol#2. It made me thinking so hard whether or not to buy live vol#2. Just what live is that...? hmm... I forgot. Lucky~ don't want any bad memories. Haha!

Yes..lol..and I also remember that she lost her weight because of the rehearsal  .. I always feel happy to know that our Utahime have an improvement.. :sohappy: They're so young (comparing with professional like Yuri-san, Emily-san or Eri-san) and they have chance to gain their experience and improve themselves via live performance...

I compare their breathing techniques in general when singing. Obviously that have all improved over the years, and surely they've taken singing lessons.

It doesn't matter if you're singing a low or high note, you need to be able to hold the notes for as long as it's written on the page. What matters is control. If you are straining too hard, then it's harder to keep your breath. (I can see it on Wakana's face when she's straining.) I've seen Wakana do this successfully, and other times when she didn't, so I know she is capable of it, whether singing high or lower notes. She just needs to be more consistent.

Even in choir we are taught this, and we sang rigorously, as a choral group with or without the symphony, and symphonic works at times require vocalists (solo or group) to hold those notes longer, and that can be tough! When you are singing solo or with a small group it is a lot more noticeable, so it's imperative to have breathing control.

PS I love Wakana and Yuuka. :idol:
