So I ragequit working on Tsubasa several times now... I just can't... Don't expect me to ever finish it. I managed to pull myself together and do .hack//SIGN though. Many thanks to TRal55 for mentioning the American DVDs had Isolated Score audio. I'm gonna need another weekend to get the episode guide together but I figured everyone would want to check the music out. "cpm"

Some technicalities: The episode numbering follows the American DVDs I believe (where Intermezzo is episode 27). Most of these were mixed from several episodes (did -try- to fix that annoying gap in the world, too) and normalized as decently as I could (the isolated score audio still has all the volume fluctuations that would be there in episodes when characters are talking, I'll work on it some more before updating the first post), then encoded to v0 mp3. I can upload a FLAC version if anyone wants but the source will still only be 192kbit stereo AC3. Let me know if I fcked up somewhere (I mean I already see fake wings should say instrumental arrange, not instrumental).

I'm sowwie. The source is just so infuriatingly bad. I might force myself back every other month... but really don't expect anything.

As for .hack//SIGN I did try fixing the world and key of the twilight some more (or maybe made them even worse, w) so if noone reports more issues with the rip by tomorrow, I'll upload an updated/final version with the guide.

Unreleased music mixed from the Isolated Score audio tracks (192kbit AC3) that were available on American DVDs. I tried normalizing the volume fluctuations (hopefully nothing for the worse), as well as fixing other things (like the sudden silence in the middle of the world instrumental).

Proper episode order with Episode#15=Evidence.
Specials#27-29: Intermezzo, Unison and .hack//GIFT.
Unison and .hack//GIFT lacked isolated scores and weren't included in the original guide (so they are missing from the rip filenames).

Released tracks never used in the show (AFAIK): labyrinth, strangers.

I really like the synth track from episode 23 so that one would be my pick. I'm actually kind of surprised at what they included on EXTRA considering what they had to choose from.

about tsubasa i think your trouble is the quality of the audio in the DVDs rather than finding where are the unreleased musics right ? (because i cant help with the latter)

have you considered doing it for the Hokuto no Ken movies /OVAs for which OSTs never came out ?
i havent watched any of them yet though XD

To be honest I was thinking of doing Aquarian Age and NOIR next, just to have it more or less from the beginning. Just guides and rips with full dialogue though since the english and german multichannel audio on Aquarian Age is cancer, while NOIR has a lot of sfx and reverbation in channels.

I'll take a look at Hokuto again but from what I remember only movies had multichannel audio and they had a lot of sfx/reverb in each channel (checked it out back when Hanamori no Oka was still unreleased). Certainly something to look at as far as this guide is concerned though so ya.

Edit: Fuck it, I'll do Hokuto just to have it over with. There's definitely not going to be any clear music to listen to, though.
Edit2: Lolz, and here I thought it would be fast and easy... oh dear... I'll probably make this a public QC on the sorting stage already, lol.

Once we're done sorting I'll take a look if there's anything that can be mixed into a "listenable" state (I doubt there'd be much since a lof of the music is in the center channel along with all dialogue, and you can hear how busy the font channels are with sfx/dialogue reverbation anyways) then make a guide and call it quits on Hokuto.

PS. I definitely think it deserves an OST2 on some future Works for Soundtrack, should it happen... (Except this is the only Kajiura related project by Universal...)

Edit: Bah, I see 072 is the same as 070, just without the choirs.

I havent listened to the released OST for a long time but i listened to the files up till #83 and the only i think its dublicate of one. apart form the ones you menthioned, is # 52
 
Duplicate of which other number? I tried finding that particular version (052) of the theme on OST1 and couldn't.
