^ Yes, by 1 or 2 years I think (so that makes her 14 or 15 considering Kirito's age that we learned on previous episode)

LOL how do you manage to remember his name , I had to google it to remember who he was :XD:

Actually SAO's original avatars looked weird too (ep 1) but since Kayaba gave them that mirror item they all looked like they do in real life, so possibly Asuna looked different as well way back then, judging by how Kirito looked like.

Somehow, Asuna looked as if she had lost her memories in the picture that Kirito received.

I didn't watch ep15 but I listen the music when
Kirigaya visits Asuna
and I like it, Yuki managed to capture the emotion with that BGM (and it seemed soooo hack). :goodjob:

Watched it. I am really liking this show more and more. (Although I don't really like the whole cousins in love thing...) I do like the OP and ED this time. Haruna's voice has really gotten pretty, and I think it fits with this song. Aoi's was pretty cool too. I love her band. My favorite new song was the piano one in the hospital. I love it, will probably be one that I listen to over and over. I liked the violin and viola one in the beginning too. Ahhhh can't wait for next week's episode!

Also is it just me or does the Haruna song sound a bit like a Yuki melody? She really reminds me of Minami Kuribayashi a bit.

^ nope Yuki's not involved in the new ED song or any of her single viewtopic.php?p=209776#p209776.

Cousins/siblings love is kind of common in japanese anime, so I'm not surprised, it happens in real life too sometimes, not necessarily with cousins but with siblings too (since that's what practically Suguha and Kirito were since they were living under the same roof and the one wasn't told the reality until recently) I know of a case with 2 classmates from highschool [where the two were twins and because the girl was much more energetic and cleaver than the boy the other was depending alot on her in both school and home]

I didn't like ALO at all though, that schtick where every girl is head over heels with Kirito is lame and the novel veers into real creepy territory at points (sometimes it reads like fanfiction with too much fanservice lol), I enjoyed SAO much more. But still, I think I'm going to watch it because it should be visually engaging and I'm looking forward to the BGMs being more fantasy-oriented because I love that kind of sound

Phew, finally had time to watch and catch up with all the eps :desksweat:
To save time and also to keep myself from hitting the computer, I skipped all the romantic scenes :XD:
Battle scenes and music were great, but I would apreciate it if they used more time for battle scenes. Except for the scenes I skipped, everything was cool!! :dote: (even THAT pedophile, considering how the anime makers managed to convey his disgusting personality in such a short time) Somehow I feel that the anime makers for SAO drew and express personalities of bad guys slightly better than good ones :plot:
Like said before, the music was great :sohappy: Although there was practically no music in the climaxes :knife: OP and ED sounds nice too. The new soundtracks were great. I kept playing the same scenes over and over to listen to the music :XD:
Looking forward to the next ep, since
Yui will be in there!!!

I don't get what's the problem of everyone with the romance scenes. Teens of this age tend to get in love with each other (although mostly in less romantic means) so I consider it pretty natural. Also since the animes Yuki works for usually lack of romantic scenes (with the excepts of Tsubasa and Mai-Hime), I think its a great opportunity for her to show us how she deals with them.

Also to garnetjester, teen girls of that age also tend to like the same guy as far as I remember from my junior/high school days (the target guy wasn't me), with the only difference that in anime girls tend to me more brave into expressing their feelings, while in real life they seem to think way too much before they do.

I don't know, but somehow I don't feel comfortable at all when watching those :uh..: And I don't want my parents, by any chance, see me watching those things and get the wrong ideas ...

Totally agree. I've seen 17 girls in my school falling for the same guy :hide: and he dumped them all

I didn't really have that experience in my high school, and honestly, it just seems to me like the usual harem anime troupe which I'm not fond of because I think it's rather boring and predictable. I have no issue with Asuna and Kirito's relationship either, I actually loved the first SAO novel (although I side eyed all of the side stories about Lizbeth, Silica, Sachi falling in love with him to a certain degree :ohoho: )

Don't get me wrong, Kirito is a good guy, but in all honesty, even in real life, I've never seen a bunch of girls fall in love with a scrawny nerd, it's usually the hot guys they all go after, unless it's an anime, then it's like they all ~mysteriously~ discover that deep down he's actually super kind and amazing and they're all crazy for him.

Anyway, this is just my opinion on the matter, and also one of the reasons why I stopped watching anime altogether because HOW BORING. But I respect all what everyone else might feel about the topic :sohappy:

EDIT: Also, I thought it was simply lazy on the author's part that instead of creating more complex character dynamics he's always relying on "lol let's make her fall in love with Kirito too" it particularly bothers me with Suguha, because I feel like there are so many possibilities that could've been explored with her being a main character and instead I ended up reading about her unrequited love a million times. The "damsel in distress" thing with a coat of sexual harrassment towards the end of this novel rubs me the wrong way, no offense. Part of why I liked SAO was because Asuna was an equal partner to Kirito, she was super kickass and that was really cool, here she's just a defenseless prisoner with a rapey stalker and it's both super creepy and unsettling for me.

LOL I know a guy that does the same, except that its him going to the girls and then switching in a few days. :uh..: (while others cant even manage to convince one)

Keep in minds that in our case they were all in a game aka both him and the girls were nerds, so nerds can fall in love with each other, right ? :psst: (oh and Kirito is fit, and looks good compared to the other SAO characters)

Also Suguha seems to be in love with him before he got himself into SAO, so her case is unrelated to the ones of the other girls.

I still just think it's weird and kind of wrong (the family love stuff), I guess we all have our views. I reeeeeeally want that piano song, but now we'll have to wait even longer for ost 2. ugh.

I'm curious of the elf stuff but I con't like the cousin rabu rabu.

heh well yeah, since he still loves Asuna.

I just watched the ep again with my brother and I really really love that piano song when stupid Sugou (I think that's his name) comes in, or it's right before that scene. Can anyone pleeeeeease get it for me? :dote:

I'll be looking forward to the world of fairies next week. How awesome will it be compared to Aincrad?

In another note, it seems that Reki Kawahara just released a newer version of the LN Volume 1, which covers the first half of what we have watched in the anime so far. Love that cover:

I've seen it in CDJapan and it costs like less than $10... If we are to start reading the novels, then I guess this will be a good start... if only it is written in English. :uh..:

Re:

I've already watched the latest episode of SAO.

AND there's not much cousin to cousin romance as Kazuto shutted off his cousin's advances as told by my friend who's reading the novel.

Also, I've tried looking into the manga and it's a direct copy of the anime and not the novel itself; in other words, including all the filler episodes from ep2-5

It wasn't supposed to be a love story anyway. That was the problem with the season 2 of the anime because they forced a love story for most of the episodes.

In the original project, the two main characters never even said "I love you" with each other. Plus no kiss. No romantic hugs. No romantic holding hands.

With the topic of the OP and ED

Well, the story board features lots of scene with kazuto's and his cousin's avatars holding hands :XD:
Yui as a fairy :tea:, I hope she gets to have a fairy-themed bgm. :plot:
Is that heatcliff in green robe?
My friend told me that heathcliff's ghost resides in AO and that he'll play a vital role later on

The OP and ED weren't very memorable as SAO's OP and ED
