Good news for all talented Laurants of the world.

Revo will be on the radio tomorrow night, and the show’s theme for audience collaboration is “Sound Horizon 1st new member audition”. The radio show invites all Laurants with a talent to send in their applications and a desciption of the talent in question. Here are some examples given by them:

• Being really good at making cat meows.
• Being able to make cracking noises with your bones.
• Being able to say the names of all the stations in Tokai region in less than 1 minute.

Obviously, this is not a serious audience. However, they ask all applicants to include their phone numbers, in case Revo wants to contact them!

Sound Horizon、「よだかの星」の歌詞をMV付先行カラオケにて解禁！フルサイズも、本日深夜放送のラジオで初解禁！

Sound Horizonが10月1日に発売するニュー・シングル『ヴァニシング・スターライト』より、リード曲「よだかの星 ［Short ver.］」が早くもMV付きでカラオケ配信がスタートしている。

いち早く先行音楽配信も開始しているこの「よだかの星 [Short ver.]」だが、その時点では歌詞は解禁されていなかった。今回、発売に先駆けてのカラオケ配信によって、そのカラオケでのみ歌詞を見ることができる。ぜひ、チェックしてみてほしい。
宮沢賢治の著書『よだかの星』にインスパイアされて描いた、熱く燃えるような歌詞と疾走感あふれるロックサウンドが印象的なこの楽曲のMVは、TVアニメ『ジョジョの奇妙な冒険』のオープニングを手掛けたアニメ制作会社・神風動画により、Sound Horizon史上初となる全編アニメーションで描かれ話題を集めている。

My interest in SanHora ended after Moira.

The interview wasnt that bad, but I miss the multiple vocals and the harmonies. Revo without someone else (even chorus) is boring XD The first 2 tracks were boring and too mainstream in composition :(

@grunty About 4 months ago Revo gave an interview saying that he's kinda disappointed at how people find his works difficult to follow (and thus dont buy as much as he had predicted) so he's now trying to make his new stuff more simple, but I think he's overdoing it. I dont like this change of strategy at all.

For me from the after-Moira period his best music was the Shingeki no Kyoujin OP1 (Guren no Yumiya) and also the 3rd track of the same single, and his Bravely Default ost

I find it hard to get familiarized with the melody on long songs; no last song syndrome effect LOL

Actually, I find Yodaka no Hoshi and Mother WAY BETTER than Guren no Yumiya, which was overrated. It's MUCH more catchy and I enjoy both tracks MUCH MORE. Generic is subjective after all. I love them!

Interview is difficult to review because... I can't remember half of the song. But if what they say is the truth, the storytelling in this track is just amazing! Music-wise, I love it!

I'm not a fan of Revo's voice, I would prefer female vocals A LOT, but I can like it. I can admire it. Revo is still awesome, of course.

Again, he knows what he does with HIS band. He's the only one who is responsible for it. I like it? Yeah, a lot. Than I'll go on supporting him, because I'm really cheering for the new DVD.

^ Guren no Yumiya had a very catchy melody, and cool chorus, otherwise people wouldnt have bought it like crazy, while this single is like a typical rock band single, because its debut of the fictional band. I cant wait till they become "experienced"

too Revo-centric of a single. yes, you can correct me that it is Noel, but it doesn't change the fact it is still Revo singing no matter what. LOL

Anyways, I can hear the melody of theme of Linked Horizon in the initial part of the interview :ayashi:

at this right, it's doing the reverse for me. It's kinda getting hard to follow Does he want fame that much?

And he's composing the theme song for the movie version of Shingeki right? So it's another German-spammed song; with "yaeger" chant on the background

The Ouroborus theme from Bravely Default, I believe, was also in German language coz I can hear "ict lieben, ict morgen" then more "aaaaaaah" "aaaaaah" to follow.

Offtopic: On the Eru no Tenbin live with MIKI and Kaori or Mari, who are the characters they were playing?

During El no Tenbin, they are not playing characters, they are just singing, actually. Because the song is in third person, it's about a girl who wanted to marry a guy, but her father hired Abyss (Jimang) to kill him so the girl should marry another one. In the end, she gets revenge killing Abyss.
So Jimang is playing Abyss and Miki sings the main melody, while Kaori/Mari does harmony. There is a part of the song that Miki sings on a lower tone. That part is the girl's father speech, that's why she does that.

Back to the new single, I like the storytelling of Interview. It was a really great way to tell the story, Revo never stops amazing me. I still want all the singers back because I don't like how he's always the one singing. But I still enjoy the new songs, so... Even if they are like Linked Horizon songs, just the fact it's SOUND HORIZON makes me like it more. It's the atmosphere, I think.

Ah I see, thanks. I just watched the Elysion LIVE DVD few days ago and Aramary, dressed in wedding gown, was singing it in first person so I was kinda confused with the characters played by MIKI and Kaori/Mari. Initially, I thought Kaori/Mari were portraying the bride because of their movements during the live but then they were also the one who gave/threw the money to Abyss? <--- confused.

I'm currently rediscovering the doujin songs too

Some theories I found on Twitter about "Interview with Noël":

- The three interviewers represent 3 real people. They are Sayawaka, Akihiro Tomita and Koji Kiyomizu. They are from three different magazines (Quick Japan, Anican H and LisAni!) which have interviewed Sound Horizon in various ocasions, and they have a close relationship with Revo, apparently. They are the 3 guests that will attend the 10th Anniversary Event on 26th and 27th October.

- The refernces to Noël having disagreements with his first "metal band", wanting to go on his own, and realizing that in the end "there was no one else but himself in his band" could be a reference to Aramary.

- The fragments about his childhood (His piano lessons, the organ, his first guitar…) are from an actual interview he did to Anican on 2007, so that's Revo's actual childhood there.

Today, (Linked Horizon) made a surprise performance as a secret guest for the MBS Anime Fes held in Osaka Hall! Hopefully the first stage show of Linked Horizon in ten months was received well? Thank you for all of those who received it warmly!


Going by the few tweets I've seen, I don't anything really mind-blowing happened? Some usual Revo goofiness (such as doing a cartwheel and other jumps while performing Revo pls), I guess. Seems like they performed Guren no Yumiya, Yodaka no Hoshi, and Jiyuu no Tsubasa, in that order, but Noël didn't appear. Instead Revo was dressed in his LinHora outfit. His singing voice got compared to the other performers and welp... ´v`

There were a lot of surprises within the artists as well. During the part of Shingeki no Kyojin, Linked Horizon showed itself and sang the opening themes Guren no Yumiya and Jiyuu no Tsubasa. The new song Yodaka no Hoshi was also performed in the name of Sound Horizon, leaving the audience very satisfied.

Without bringing much light on the subject of the film version coming up this autumn, the Shingeki no Kyojin corner had Linked Horizon, the band who participated for the first time in Kouhaku last year, appear as their secret guest, enthusiastically singing the main theme of Guren no Yumia and receiving a loud cheer in response. The main member Revo commented thus so:"We don't really appear at anime events, as I thought that we would feel somewhat out-of-place here, but that didn't end up happening at all. It was fun!" While doing cartwheels on the stage, he really revealed his joy.
