Romanji (by me)

boku dake ga mite taki
minna kotto kako mo mirai mo
kanashimi mo yorokobi mo subete

otona ni naru te kitto yasashiku naru
kotoba to shinjiteita
kodomo no koro mo boku mo mama ni

kimi no kotto mamoritai to omou
kurayami ka mezametemo
boku wa tsuteteru kanada de

daremo shiranai yuki ga furete

ita kimi wa boku no mune ni
kizamareteta ichiban
fukai kutsutemo yonde

kimi ga warau kono sekai de
utayori mowosu yo

translation atempt based on the words i understand (and with help of other song translations)

kako mo mirai mo > violent and past
kanashimi mo yorokobi mo subete > everything from sadness to happiness ?

otona ni naru te kitto yasashiku naru > i will grow up and i will be kind
kotoba to shinjiteita > believed the words
kodomo no koro mo boku mo mama ni > within me when I was kid

kimi no kotto mamoritai to omou > i thought to protect you
kurayami ka mezametemo > wake(ing?) from darkness

futari wo kakushita kono machi ni > we hide inside this city
daremo shiranai yuki ga furete > which nobody knows while snow is falling (or was ?)

ichiban = first / only one

kimi ga warau kono sekai de > you laugh inside this world ?

a couple of tips:

it's called "romaji"

i haven't really listened to the song but there are errors in your romaji… and your translation is not really accurate

ie. kako mo mirai mo is "past & future"

I didnt expect it to to be accurate since i only know some japanese from anime and songs

About the romaji, i know there are some wrong ones since i couldnt find them on the site search, but there nothing else i can think of it being

それは小さな光のような (Sore wa Chiisa na Hikari no you na)

(kanji)
僕だけが見てた君のこと
過去も未来も
悲しみも喜びも全て
大人になるってきっと
優しくなることだと信じていた
子供の頃の僕のままに

君のこと守りたいと思う
暗闇から目覚めても
僕を待ち受けてる彼方で
二人を隠したこの街に
誰も知らない雪が降っていた

君は僕の胸に刻まれた
一番深い傷跡のようで
君が笑うこの世界の歌取り戻すよ

(romaji)
Boku dake ga miteta kimi no koto
kako mo mirai mo
kanashimi mo yorokobi mo subete
Otona ni narutte kitto
yasashiku naru koto da to shinjiteita
Kodomo no koro no boku no mama ni

Kimi no koto mamoritai to omou
kurayami kara mezamete mo
boku wo machiuketeru kanata de
Futari wo kakushita kono machi ni
dare mo shiranai yuki ga futteita

Kimi wa boku no mune ni kizamareta
ichiban fukai kizuato no you de
Kimi ga warau kono sekai no uta torimodosu yo

(translation)
I'm the only one who looked at you
Your past and your future,
your sadness and your happiness, everything

I'd always believed that growing up/becoming an adult
surely meant being gentler
But I'm still the same as when I was a child

I think I want to protect you
Even if I'm awaken from the darkness
that's waiting for me on the other side
in this town that hid us, snow that no one knows is falling (?)

You're like the deepest scar
that's engraved in my heart
I'll retrieve the song of that one world
So that you can smile/laugh

feel free to correct me.

Translation is maybe a bit too liberal at some points...

Kimi wa boku no mune ni

kimi ga warau kono sekai no

okay I might as well redo the translation.

Only I was
watching you
your past, your future,
your sorrow, your joy
everything

Becoming an adult surely
means becoming kind,
I believed so
with my same self as in my childhood

I think that
I want to protect you
even when I wake up from the darkness
at the distance that's expecting me

At this city that hid the two of us
a snow that nobody knows
was falling

Just like the deepest scar
where you were engraved
into my heart,

I will bring back the song
of the world where you're smiling

Τhank you soo much! :sohappy:

"a snow that nobody knows
was falling"

^ this is really weird haha.

according to the story
They hide Kayo in an abandoned bus in secret place at some point of the story, while there is snowfall
so i thought that maybe it was refering to that part

I thought of the scene where he sees her in the park!

But yeah the story is so nice, I read whatever is translated of the manga, then I read the rest raw, and then it was 6:30AM... and it currently stops with a cliffhanger!!

i have read only up to vol 5 i think, im still waiting for more to come out.
I read somewhere that they will adapt the whole story within the 12 eps of the anime, so i wonder if they will go beyond where the manga is now.

EDIT: @ritardando sorry, I didn't notice that you had replied while I was typing my own translation here! :spotlight:

EDIT2: A small explanation of the last part because it seems to have confused you:

Kimi wa [boku no mune ni
etc etc]
[boku ga warau =>] kono sekai no
uta torimodosu yo

=> you will bring back the song
of this world [<= where I'm smiling]
[just like the scar etc etc]

Slightly edited mine as well.

Thanks for the explanation. Some thing still confuses me though (along with some romaji corrections):

Kimi wa boku no mune ni
kizamareta ichido
fukai kizuato no you de

It's ichiban - doesn't ichido mean once again?

boku ga warau kono sekai no
uta torimodosu yo

you will bring back the song
of the world where I'm smiling

and this part. The song clearly says 君が笑う, not 僕が笑う so I think it's "I" that wants to retrieve the song for "you" and not the opposite - that's why I translated the 君は僕の胸に刻まれた一番深い傷跡のようで separated with 君が笑う某の世界の歌取り戻すよ. Plus the song kinda revolves on 僕 (I'd like to think this as Satoru's) point of view on 君 (the girl/Kayo). I mean, it doesn't really make sense to me how the other parts of the song is about 僕 watching and wanting to protect 君 but in the end it's 君 that brings back the song to the world where 僕 smiles. Sorry if this makes no sense to you, @yuki.n :XD: I do am sorry for my horrible grasp on Japanese grammar, though.

and I still hear 某の世界の歌取り戻すよ and not この世界の歌取り戻すよ as the site you cited on say.
plus your correction on
There's a typo here: 僕 not 某
completely confuses me. if that's the case then the lyrics would be:

君が笑う僕の世界の歌取り戻すよ - and this is completely different matter on its own lol - not to mention it's different from the romaji you've done.

@ritardando OK, sorry - I did this in a rush without double-checking what the song really says, so maybe some things were wrong in the page, maybe I failed to copy something, I'll check again later! Fortunately sayuri's pronunciation on this song is fairly clear so it won't be a pain :XD:

EDIT: @ritardando Heard the song again and edited my post. You were right, I'm sorry - I should have double-checked... #fail
There is a certain scene (not yet translated, it's in the raw manga) where it might have made sense for 君 to give back 僕's smile, but on the song it's indeed the other way around.

優しくばることだと信じていた →優しくなることだと信じていた typo?
君が笑う某の世界の歌取り戻すよ →君が笑うこの世界の歌 取り戻すよ

I hear kono too. 某 would be a weird fit imo, meaning wise. It would imply more than just "the world"

Not to mention.. I don't think you would use a "no" behind a "bou"? You would just say "bou sekai"

Full lyrics as per the video mv on Sayuri's youtube channel.. which is region locked.

Full romaji lyrics, thanks to everyone else's posts. :) There may be some errors in the last two verses because I used Google translate for the kanji that @Hatouchan posted and also because we haven't heard the last bits of the song.

English: (Taken from multiple sites and my limited knowledge of Japanese)

I was the only one
looking at you.
Your past and future,
sadness and happiness,
everything.

I'd always felt that growing up
meant becoming kinder,
but I'm the same as my child self.

I feel I want to protect you,
even if I wake from the darkness
that's on the other side waiting for me.

In this city that hid us away,
a snow nobody knew was falling.

You're like the deepest scar,
that's been engraved in my chest.

The song of this world
that made you smile;
I'll seize it back.

Whatever the room,
the clocks were always a little bit off.
We will always remain as gears
crossing paths with words.

You cried all alone,
playing hero.
I brushed your cheeks
with hands that fell
before even reaching out.

A world that wants to destroy you
is impregnated with a black prayer
at the threshold of dreams.
Those gentle fingers that caressed you lovingly
have twisted and curled.
For just my sake and mine alone,
reach out these powerless hands
and struggle towards a faint, shining light.
Guide me to the future
in which you sing.

I've decided I want to protect
the undeniably warm place
which I believe exists.
That kindness, devoured by sadness,
is a night buried under white snow.
You light a tiny fire inside my chest
like an old scar.
So smile.
This world, from the darkness,
awakens like the light.
Your song.

I was the only one
looking at you...
