Seconded :plot:

Hmm, I think I'd better get back on topic. Let's see... :ohoho:

Ah, Hoshizora no Niji! I barely even remember first listening to it, because I wasn't interested. But now I like it a lot! It's quite reggae-sounding, the chord progression in the lines reminds me a lot of Hello (Koichi-san's song), and it's generally nice :dote:

I can't find such examples from Chiba Saeko's, FictionJunction's, and See-Saw's songs...quite weird..lol.

As for OST, the most outstanding one is Jubilee. But after I've been familiar with Eri's singing style, I found that it's as precious as a diamond... :dote: .

For Kalafina, my obvious example are Ongaku and Kizuato. Surprisingly, I prefer Oblivious to Kizuato when I listened to their single at the first time, but Kizuato finally became my favourite for the first single because its gloomy and emotional atmosphere. I hadn't cared for Ongaku until I watched their lives in Red Moon which Ongaku was the Epic of the set list. And recently,..I found that I'm into Neverending so much even I thought that it's so generic and repetitive, but it finally grew on me. (Even you guys say that it's really generic and repetitive.., but it's still...)

Oh, I have a lot. I used to be so picky. After listening to a quarter of a song, if I did not like it, I went on to another song. It was a bad habit. :uh..:

Oblivious took me awhile to love. I'm not really sure why. I just had it on repeat at school, and it grew on me.
Kimi Ga Hikari Ni Kaeteiku was too slow for my tastes when I first heard it (I guess I didn't like ballads much), but I found it to be really powerful after hearing it again, and Keiko's vocals were :nosebleed:.
Kaze no Machi he had to be looped a thousand times for me to finally start liking it, despite my probably biased love for Keiko's voice.
The chorus for in your eyes bothered me (Wakana sounded too melonchology and Hikaru sounded like she was screaming). I grew used to it with more listens, and I have fallen in love with the verses.

I'm drawing a blank right now, but these songs were the first that came to mind.

Seventh Heaven - I was so bored listening to it that I can't even make it to the middle part(always pressed "next" button at the beginning of the song)... That only changed when I fell asleep with my music-player on while wearing headset and woke up in the "climax" of the song and found it so calming, awesome and fitting to my mood at that time... and was like, "Beautiful... What song is this?" :ohoho: And, it's now part of my top 10..

Lacrimosa - I've been exposed in FictionJunction's "theme" of music that when I heard this dark-themed song, I immediately pressed the close button in Youtube... :uh..: But when I went back to it after being exposed to a bit of Kalafina's style, this song became one of my favorites, but then was eventually replaced by other songs.. I still like it, though..

Lirica - The first time I listened to this, I don't think I was in the mood... But when I listened to it again, I sorta liked it..

Snow Falling - I found this a bit boring at first too... but I get to like it soon, afterwards..

Red Moon - It sorta made me feel like it's the end of the world when I'm playing it... I rejected it... :uh..: But, now it's very different, since it's the title-holder for my "Most favorite song so far, in my whole life" :XD:

Fairytale - yeah, was so boring for me... but like the same old story for kajiura songs, I eventually got used to it and liked it...

Kaze no Machi he - I didn't like this the first time I hear it.. really.. I wasn't a fan of low-vocals, and I was a kid(was 10 or 11 years old) who didn't know how to appreciate GREAT ART~! :omg: This song became one of my favorite FJ song... and was actually the song that made me love Keiko's voice~! (oh, and that awesome interlude part/Kajiuran part in the middle~!!!)

Synchronicity(Keiko's ver.) - I was so in love with Makino's synchronicity that when I heard this, I was like..... WTH IS THIS!?!? :omg: But then I grew to like it.. its live version had been one of the live perf I watch most in FJ lives... :ohoho:

Mizu no Akashi(Wakana's ver.) - it was so quiet and boring... well I grew to like it mostly because of the "flow" of the song... Love it...

~ I think I missed a lot more... hmm... oh well... :sohappy:

Salva nos live too for me. Sorry ninetales, but the guitar part (especially where Koichi-san play in the end) really disturbs me. Even my friend who watched the DVD with me say "Who is this uncle playing guitar? It just destroys the mood I have from this song! Too-show-off. I'd rather have that violin player to have solo. He is quite cute too...But this long-haired uncle... :uh..: " ---> She really said this.

I kinda agree...actually, when my friend listened to it, she said the same thing. The solo is completely different than the mood of the song. In some ways, I love it separately from the song, because both of them can stand on their own without the other :ayashii:

I love the 'uncle' thing :XD:

My friend said that Yuki is her aunt, her musicians (men) are her uncles, and the utahimes are her sisters. :XD:

Anyway, I kinda like sandpiper now. I really love the phrase "I'm a sleeping sandpiper"

Salva Nos didn't appeal to me at first, but when I heard it performed lived by FictionJunction, I came to love it.now it's one of my favorite songs.Do I have to mention Yuriko's "Aaaahhhh" part? :XD:

Yuriko's "aaaaaahh" is the epic part of the song :D

Btw, Eden now has grown on me. But only Keiko's final 2 line that get my attention :)

I feel so happy about it, it is actually my favorite part of the song.

^seconded

some kalafina ballads from KnK-because i havent seen the 7 m0vies back then
seventh heaven, fairytale, kimi ga - the same reason for those who didnt like it before... another would be it was my first time listening to kalafina back then... there are other songs i havent absorbd... and im not into ballad...before.

ashita no keshiki - am now loving the last part

dreamscape - though i love the live better
mizu no akashi, kaze no machi he, zodiacal sign, inside your heart

hmmmmm.....
kimi ga hikari ni kaete yuku: but now, my impression has totally changed, i almost cry everytime i hear it, now i can hear the emotion, keiko gives a really "lonely and sad" feelings, but then wakana sings and it gives "warm and ascending" feelings, and they sings together, ahhhh.... it's like i'm in heaven

and symphonia: my first impression (what the??? why such a bad song have it's own PV??) but again my impression has totally changed, whenever i listen to it it gives this celestial feelings, and eden's beauty, i can imagine three angels sing it on the fields of hope, and my impression just keep ascending waaaaaawwww :dote: :dote:

This. I wasn't really a fan of Eden either, but I kept playing the whole song, just to get to Keiko's part. :nosebleed: Because of this, I have slowly, but surely gotten used to the song.

For me they were couples of them such as Adore, Sapphire, Symphonia Album Ver. but right now These are one of my favorite.

Really I'm not being biased...
Hmm and what songs from yukisensei I don't like?
...yep cant think of one!!!
:ohoho:

Kimi ga Hikari ni Kaete Yuku--I thought this song was really boring at first. Then I watched the end credits of Kara no Kyoukai movie 2 and heard Keiko and Wakana alternate lines. That's what hooked me. Also, that and Wakana's Kalafina record interview are what made me like Wakana. I think her voice is most beautiful there.

Fairytale--Same as above. In fact, I used to get confused between the two songs because of the WaaKei alternating.

Ongaku--At first it sounded too dark, too different. Then I discovered Keiko. Now I love it.

Symphonia--It sounded too sad and final for me at first. But eventually Keiko won me over.

Canta Per Me--It sounded a lot like Final Fantasy 8's battle music, and I thought it was all instrumental at first. But then I discovered Yuriko Kaida, and found out she's the one who sang it, so now I like it...kinda.

Canta Per Me--Japanese version--Houko Kuwashima sounded like a little girl. But her voice eventually grew on me.

Seventh Heaven--I thought this song was really boring. But recently, there was a time my cat refused to eat and I thought he was gonna die (he's better now), and I heard Wakana's heart-breaking solo, and it made me cry, and like the song

I'm sure there'll be more later.

for me, mmm...

1. seventh heaven. though i love Keiko, Keiko's intro in seventh heaven was a bit boring for me. i started to love seventh heaven since i knew its live version (both in best selected live and @type-moon), but still, its recorded song still a bit boring for me :uh..:
even in live version, Keiko's intro sounds sexy as usual Keiko...

2. Akatsuki no Kuruma, live version. Yuuka's voice is soooo :omg: even when i listen to it now, but since i was a fan of Vocaloid, i can slowly like Yuuka's :omg: voive in live version... :XD:

3. snow falling. i hated it since i watched After Eden live, and i skipped the song in my playlist, but i started to love it since the type-moon live...
though i still hate the After Live version XD

4. te to te to me to me. the song was weird for my first time, but their dancing in Red Moon live had caught me :ohoho:

5. to the beginning. Wakana's voice is a bit weird in the song, but when i re-listen to it from type-moon live, i love it :XD:

for addition, i love Ongaku live version and love come down ive version, but i hate the recorded songs. i dunno why though XD
the same thing goes to several songs from Fiction I and II, like Zodiacal Sign, Salva Nos, Everytime you kissed me, etc... but i think that's because i love Japanese accent more though their English is so :blood: haha~

and another addition, i hated Keiko at first, but i started to love Keiko since i watched Houseki (live YK 2009) (my first non-Kalafina song), and my love to her grow bigger and bigger~ :nosebleed:
and Yuriko too, but i started to love her from here we stand in the morning dew live :dote:
haha... i am so weird :XD:

agree on both :XD: :XD:
in Eden, i feel like :dote: at the first time, and when i get to Keiko's final line.... :nosebleed: :nosebleed: :nosebleed:

Oh and live vol.9 and that live vol.7 bootleg reminds me how I hate I Swear when I first I listened to the song sample. Seriously, JVC/Flying Dog only gave the instrument solo and Clara's "I swear, my love..." and the sample ends and I was like :omg: OMG wth is this song. But there's that special FICTION II radio show and they played I swear and I was like "WOW, the full version is really good!" because it's the first easy-listening so from Kajiura that I found (and maybe the only one) and from that since Clara Kennedy is my favorite English vocalist (I really hope Kajiura will use her voice again...) but I never really liked Bindiger's dying voice.

And FJ's version just makes me fall deeply with this song even more. Keiko's vocal is super, and Yuriko's chorus is really nice and beats Bindiger's by miles.

I totally agree with this

@littlefelicita: So you dont like a song until you hear it live? :XD:

also there's no english accent in salva nos and zodical sign since they were all always sung by Japanese vocalists (Yuriko [OST] and Yuri Kasahara [Fiction II] on the first case, Kaori Nishina on the second. Maybe you refer to canta per me?

zodiacal sign, until i saw the live
red moon, until i saw the live

and more recent ones, I Swear & Maybe Tomorrow, until i saw the lives

Hmm, it would be Stone Cold. Its not really the style I like so I didnt find it something special. But I found a melody bit catchy and then I really liked the live version, so now Im liking it quite a bit.

I should start recognizing that I didn't like Kalafina at first. I had their discography in my pc for at least two years until I start to like them (I blame my player, who always played slow songs)

Ok, now about songs... I think the problem is me, I don't like slow songs if they don't bring me a certain emotion, and because of that, I don't give them a opportunity

- I didn't like Kimi ga Hikari ni Kaete Iku and Seventh Heaven until I watched KnK movies. Since then, they can make me cry... but I love the lyrics and Wakana voice in both of them.
- Ashita no Keshiki, too, it's too slow. Actually, I don't know when I started to like it...
- Houseki too, slow too. I started to like when I watch the vol.4
- The whole After Eden album, I started to like it when I watched the live (but even now I don't like Kugatsu, Magnolia or Kotonoha too much)

Ehm, I dont what more... maybe Sprinter (acoustic ver), I hated it the first time I heard it (and I still don't like it) but I have the feeling I can start to love it if I listen it again.
