The beginning part with Keiko was good, the rest is pretty boring. :uh..:
I'll check out the new BGMs now.

This is a BGM I like, it's odd and I cant recognize the vocalist, maybe Eri Itoh: ?o5cr2tx93mm41
I want watch the full program! >_<

It does sound like Eri in some parts.

I actually like it after few more times of listening to it.

Must be because I'm already addicted to Wakana's voice whatsoever

The best of that song is the horn, Yuki should use that instrument in more pieces. The structure of symphonia is rare, for album or b-side.

lol, you know it made me think of KOKIA at times... but it's probably Eri indeed. :P

There you go...fix'd... :knife: :knife:

I like the BGM song as well. I can see why grunty thought it was KOKIA, in a sense it does resemble her a bit, but KOKIA's voice is a bit different. I will be patiently waiting for a better version without the woman narrating :XD:

Itou Eri for sure. The moment she started singing I immediately recognized her.

Hmmm...if whoever is publishing this OST can stay as true to the master tracks used in the BGM and/or Symphonia, it's going to be quite a cracking OST.

Of course the recycling of a lot of pieces from the first probably also means that I can safely buy this one, skip the first one...and still not miss anything.

totally repetitive. All the instrumentation and the arrangement are nothing new. Melody is too bland,
A bit consolation is maybe Keiko in the beginning... but it doesn't make the whole song .... great.

Really Kajiura? ;_;
Even with the usage of Keiko...
I hate it. ;_;
Why do you keep doing this? ;________;

I might just have a low threshold or something, but I like KEIKO's intro part. It's nice and serene ^_^

Reminds me of the ending theme for the Rekishi Hiwa Historia from the first Soundtrack

I think Symfonia is not that boring.., even its melody is too similar to Adore...= =..some part also similar to Fairytale. Ok..it might be a good song if I wouldn't hear adore before.. I'll think that I have a sweet&slow version of adore and keep it in my favourite tracklist... :rain:.

This one may be the same kind as Seventh Heaven..., Hikaru's solo part in the song made me annoyed again.., like I feel in seventh heaven. (Sorry HiChan...= =..) But it's ok when she sang with the other girls.

At least.., she didn't release Symphonia in a Kalafina single.., right..? (or I missed something..= =..?)

For the use of Horn, this is just my guess, but usually, horn is an instrumental that is very difficult to play (maybe the most difficult among all brasswinds or even in all basic symphony orchestra instruments.) The payment for a horn musician may be so high..?

As for Eri's song, I think this one would be ok.. Honestly, her latest Yuki's tracks in PH are too similar to Tsubasa's and I don't like that.. This one seems to be a new work..(but..it's only a part of the song..= =.. I should wait until I listened to the whole song.)

It might be like that but for the new track, I dont find any connection with tsubasa, apart from the fact that Eri sings it. Anyway, I am personally ok the those tracks sound tsubasa-isah because that OST was one of the best of Yuki IMO.

hmm, I wouldn't bet on it... :ayashii:
Back in 2009, there were some comparisons between Contractor and KnK5-M24 (mostly related to the fast piano parts), but both tracks still sound authentic to me. And I can't remember a single track in Tsubasa that would sound like Contractor (Alone is not discussed, since technically it's a revision of Bloody Rabbit).
Huh, the aac extension is downloadable now! Maybe the local proxy was just being a troll yesterday... :sohappy:

Eri's track is really promising. :shy:
and Symphonia... I agree that one part has a clear semblance to Adore, but I don't feel that it ruins the song in any way. Overall, the song is more in the line of Historia, and so far it sounds VERY good to me. Then again, it looks like I will soon be one of the few people to appreciate all that Yuki writes. :XD: I just don't find these "repetitions" repetitive enough to disturb me, that's all.
(not to mention that the pattern in Adore sounds like a rather natural piano pattern... might as well go complaining about separate accords :waa: ).

Well, I have a different opinion on this. As much as I like Hikaru's voice, I don't think it fits ballads/slow songs too much. For instance, her second part in Seventh Heaven ["tsuyoku dakishimeteite..."] was really beautiful and all, but her voice wasn't really suitable for it. But well, that's just my opinion.

As for repetition, I have no qualms with it as long as the song can stand alone for itself. I do agree with adore's resemblance in the chorus, but it is only a part of the whole song and in a way it still sounds a bit different. And well, repetition happens with every musician, so I have just come to terms with it. It is not like she hasn't done this before like Liminality and Vanity. "I'll be there, by your side", that was a little too much for me.

Well, those are rather recurring lyrics themes. You can hardly accuse a musician of recurring lines and imagery in lyrics. So much the more if the language in question isn't his/her native one.
I said it before, but the only kind of repetiiton in Yuki's works that bothers me in any way is probably track titles. When they start repeating, it may become confusing. On the other hand, with so many albums in the portfolio, it gets harder to track them down, I guess.

Well, for me the problem was that Liminality seemed to be just a slower version of that part in Vanity. Recurring lyrics themes do exist (oh well, Kajiura frequently talks about someone singing in her lyrics, no matter what the lyrics are about) but just like I said, that was a little too much for me.
