Whiteish has better contrast and is therefore easier for the eye IMHO, especially for people who might possibly be visually impaired.

In my case, white seems to overpower the black and να με στραβώνει . Ι had the problem with the new forum theme too, but i kinda got used it.

i think the issue with the yellow ver is more that it's textured (aka there are small squares of yellow AND white) and that's what's messing with my eyes. the one in the screenshot above is better bc the color's more uniform. even if you made it all yellow squares, i think i'll still prefer the one above (probably also bc it's more of a tan than a yellow...)

ps can the posters/dates in the guestbook space be in bold? i feel like each entry needs some kind of visual division
also can "posted" also be in italics. or make the date not italics. the inconsistency is bothering me

^ thing is we arent trying to follow tendencies but make it so that it fits more to the style we want/

its true that many of the popular western websites (youtube twitter fb etc) have white bground

but there are many japanese sites that arent white

you mean like the background thats at the sides of the forum ? That would be good but im not sure if it would fit with the colour of the buttons and header.

There's more whitespace because of a wider theme. Nothing styling can do to with newlines already in a post.

I... honestly think it may be ready now.

what is weird now is the even though the 720 was supposed the mobile size and juchan had made the main header to stretch till all this length, there is still alot of unused red background in the header, while at the same time in my phone's (Sony Xperia Z) portrait view it looks like this: http://oi64.tinypic.com/2afa22r.jpg

Also i liked it when the side columns were still yellowish, but i guess its matter of getting used the current ones ^^;

also in my tablet i can see the little squures in the white background while in my laptop they are almost invisible. Is that due to graphics card / screen type differences between devices ?

other than that it looks perfect :)

could you add "home" and "forum" buttons to the navigation like we have in the current them ?
