I found this spoof live action trailer of NOIR a a half-year ago.
It is very nice.

Anyone visited the site that was mentioned in the trailer? It has nothing to do with Noir we mean :uh..: Not to mention that the trailer looks like an amateur video

I tried to visited but its totally unrelated. Guess its so other noir thing, that's older than the project discussed here. (The videotalks about 2007, while the NOir methinoed here is still in production...

Yeah. That trailer is fan-made and pretty old too. So far all we know about the new production is that Starz is involved and that Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert are somehow involved and that Stephen Lightfoot is the writer/exec producer.

Noir without Yuki's music = Not Noir
True dat. Remember "Live action = Not Noir" now that we are at it.
We all remember what happened to Death Note...

If this movie actually gets made and doesn't have Canta Per Me or Salva Nos in it, it's just a ripoff. :hero:

This will be a TV Series for sure. IMDb Pro Lists it as a TV Series and still says it is currently optioned property for 2012. Personally I'm skeptical though I'm not as Gaga for Noir as many of my fellow Bee Train fans are...Well I like it enough sure but I personally put it below MADLAX. *gets stoned as a blasphemer* Rami's name attatched to it as Exec really doesn't mean a whole lot as Lightfoot will be the one coordinating everything. Rami's name is just there to get attention from the general public and the project sponsors. Most likely anyway.

^ Noir TV show, huh...I could picture HBO or Showtime, or maybe Syfy, picking it up. Probably the only network who might put it on regular TV would be NBC because for some reason they always pick the worst shows and end up canceling them before a full season goes by :uh..:

It's Starz Network developing so I think it's safe to say this will be on Starz and/or Showtime. Which will be good because Cable can get away with more than network TV.

The project just got the greenlight from Starz a full series is ordered. The amount of episodes remains unknown and most importantly so does the status of Yuki's music >:(

^ Thanks for the info

I haven't even read about this yet, so probably they're going to keep it quiet for a while...

I seriously doubt they're going to use any of Kajiura-sensei's music, though. It'll probably end up with a generic 'cool' score, something like NCIS: LA has.

^ who knoes, since it was Yuki that made noir famous, maybe they will lincense her OST to reuse or orchestrate it (:stars: )
