^ I said main, like for Kalafina are W and H, but that doesnt mean that there cant be some solo songs by the others.

also I dont find that Wakana voice is overprocessed in storm like you say, although I do find strange that she sounds like the pre-Kalafina era.

I just have a feeling that Storm and Gaika sounds like kalafina's songs like tsuioku,obbligato(a bit...)....
Maybe is because it start with Wakana and Keiko's voice???
I love elemental,so catchy :love:
 
^ yes and also because Kajiura has been composing far more for Kalafina (3-4 singles per year + album) while only 1 single per year for FJ for 5 years now, so her hand and mind compose for Kalafina without knowing it, I bet. :XD:

well storm isnt really any close to Kalafina because it was made way before Kalafina was found.
 
Just finish storytelling also...Yuriko...I hope she get solo part not just in chorus...and also...less Kaori voice....seems like Wakana and Keiko get more parts in the new song... :desksweat:

Storytelling and Elemental is more fj-ish.

Gaika is like a Kalafina song which Kaori cover Hikaru part and Yuriko help do the chorus
 
Ugh. So I ended up NOT really caring for the new songs, lol. They are all way too long.

elemental is the most enjoyable from the new tracks but it has like 3 bridges. Why?

Now with Gaika I can't put my finger why I don't like it as much as I thought I would. I mean I like whichever random 10 seconds I play but the whole track... Too long? Repetitive? Constant backing track without any actual development? Computerized vocals doing the same thing for 5 minutes and in the same registers? I just don't know. Even the bridges seem the same as the verses. Also I find the way the vocals start completely random, lol.

storytelling is just okay.

I liked storm the best but I'm still not convinced it actually needed a cover version. Unlike some of you above, I did appreciate the simplified flute. :P

If you mean the Ahs I'm pretty sure it's Wakana considering how she takes the high notes (dat 1:41 high note is so Wakana) and how static it sounds. At the very least I'd be surprised if it was Yuriko.

Seconded grunty's opinion about the "aahs". Now that I hear it again, it's definitely Wakana because the vibrato is not Yuriko's (although Yuriko may take this part in live version), and the transition between the notes aren't as smooth as Hanae's. But I think it's nice and gave a touch to this song.

Btw grunty had posted my exact thoughts about Gaika and why I think it's boring lol.

Except you didnt say them up there, apart from "there's nothing else in the song" you mainly talked about signal up there. You read his comment and agreed XD

What I mean is grunty elaborated all my thoughts about Gaika which I didn't post before because I wasn't articulate enough.

It feels as if I'm becoming a public enemy for not liking Gaika, lol.
 
I love Elemental's mixture of percussion and electric guitar very Kaorish! mi raiksu. Unique blend! with Arabian Nights taste with superb upbeat!. I like it when they go "HEEEEII!" I will go "HEEEEII" back at the music! this gotta go into LIVE! I need to HEEEIII back at them!!!. :hearts: 9/10



I am loving Storm, I don't know anyone felt it but this is the Wakana that I knew~ not her current Kalafina tone and style.
Her voice has such a strong impact on me again since FJ live vol 9, I am loving it:plz:the first few notes sounds a little bit like neverending's middle "keiko part" with a combination of fairytale also the tempo is so Nevereding and Hikari no Yukue. :love: 9.5/10


Storytelling is very smooth transitioning song from Yuriko which I miss a lot! to Kaori, I've never thought Kaori fits in so well into Yuriko parts and the tempo is just right! Yuriko pretty much deserve the praise here by far! she makes it pleasant and uplifting! although it isn't super catchy or unique but I miss her. :TdT: 8/10

Gaika gothic theme of FJ, reminds me of Oblivious and Aria atmosphere with Wakana and Yuriko going into chorus, I can feel stronger Keiko breathing as well loving the arrangement, that violin + cello gives me back KnK days songs, this could be easily another fitting song for KnK that mysterious feel~:shy: 8/10



All in all this is what FictionJunction needs! and honestly think they need to make these into PV don't care which one but all of them sounded great but I am bias towards Kaori so I choose Elemental :ohoho:. EDIT: maybe not Gaika and storytelling for pv because it's a bit long to be fitting.
Please let the new Lives be on DVD/BD :cry:

I still love gaika. And I don't know, I guess I think elemental is a bit weird. I like it, but it's not my favorite, I think I like storytelling a lot more. Maybe it's the drumming in elemental? I don't know... I thought I heard Fion in one of the songs, but I am not sure which one now, did anyone else notice?
