Agree with Kowz. They could make a trio with similar annoying voices lol.
 
Does anyone else find the news that the first TWO episodes are going to be an hour long each to be a teeny bit amusing? That 'prologue' section alone is going to end up longer than the entirety of DEEN's UBW movie adaptation! :white:

They can be Shriekingfina :psst: And add May'n for the second single, hue.
 
A friend of mine commented on the 'one hour ep 1 & 2' news with, "makes sense. How many people are going to want to spend 4 weeks watching the same origin story for the 3rd time?!"

Which is a fair point. :ohoho:

According to ANN, the first one is airing at the end of this week on the 4th of October, then the second on the 11th.

Also Fate/Zero's episode 1 was 1 hour long as well

I agree with Kowz too, what's up with Sony promoting 3 similar voices with samey songs as different artists ?
 
Such a nice surprise this Mashiro Ayano! Like her voice because it's an halfway beetween LiSA's (which I literally love , proud LiSAkko xD) and Aoi Eir's one (which I find still enjoyable). The song has a nice pop-rock anison tune that's pretty catchy.

I would totally buy a Shriekingfina album :ohoho:

When they add May'n they could be Shriekingjunction lol. :XD: it seems that the Japanese like this type of voice a lot (voice like Eir's/LiSA's). Ideal White is no good at all imo :/

The Fate/Stay Night anime will start airing on October 4th, 2014 (at midnight), and its first 2 episodes (Episode 0 and Episode 1) will durate 1 hour each. Episode 0 will air on October 4, while Episode 1 on October 11

I should probably give Eir and LiSA a listen first, but I understand where you're coming from Re: singers' voices. It must be a cultural quirk or something - I'm guessing they're deliberately intended to sound girly and 'cute', but the shrillness makes it hard for me to listen to them. May'n has great pitch control and projection but listening to the Macross Frontier songs, I found Magumi Nakajima's voice to be more pleasant and expressive.

I'm actually a little disappointed that Megumi chose voice acting over singing in the end: her voice has the rare gifts of being clear and bright without that 'Jpop shrillness', a bit like Maaya Sakamoto's actually. That's one of the reasons why I latched onto Kala/FJ in the first place: each vocalist has a different timbre and range, but none of them are shriek-y (I'm sorry I couldn't think of a better word for it!). Maybe that's why I appreciate Luna Haruna more than other people seem to - her voice is a bit 'untrained' but it's mellow and quite soothing!
 
They arranged Point Zero in ep#0. (Or the melody comes from the game originally and/or it's just reaaaally similar.)
 
The BGM ain't bad; it's just...there. It works fine as a soundtrack, but I won't go out and buy the CDs of it. The same goes for the OP that came in at the end - I don't dislike it but I can't recall how it sounded afterwards either. Never mind.

The episode itself was as good as I'd hoped though - lush animation, solid adaptation of the source material, a welcome return for some familiar VAs with some cool banter...plus loads of Rin screen time. :goodjob: The scene where she's sipping tea after crawling out of bed with twintail-less bed hair...yeah, that was cool. :nosebleed: Ahem.

It's a shame that next week will be all about that annoying dunce Shirou...:uh..: but eh. It's hard to *not* make it revolve around him I guess.
 
It was a good episode! The artwork and quality was really good ! Ufotable never fails to deliver. The BGM was not bad either, its very different from Kajiuras approach which I find very interesting. Neither is better nor worst than the other. We got some much Rin this week, my inner fangirl is screaming! Next week, SHITROU~ i hope he is less annoying in this adaptation.
