Ok, status of requests:

  • /me is not formally supported: http://xmpp.org/extensions/xep-0245.html - but I was able to have it trigger an info message.... but I still need to get everyone to see that message. Hmm. Wow that took more work than I expected.

  • googleapis - localized reference
  • icons missing on mobile - TODO
  • recall - ChatRecall installed, haven't tested currently configured for 10 lines of memory
  • user mention highlight

  • User Ping - Probably not, it works with an entirely different method.

Thanks for all the improvements so far, but we just had a spate of chat eating text, silently disconnecting users, requiring several reloads to get back to sanity. [edit happened again around 03:10 UTC 3rd January 2015 affecting multiple users, very annoying]

I like the local time indication on text lines when you move the mouse cursor over them.

I'm not seeing the user mention highlight - is that still "to do"?

Are you still looking at optional user logins where a logged in user's name shows differently?
 
Using a separate message for a separate issue:

Private chats on mobile don't work properly for me still - I can start a pm, and send text to it, but can't close it nor send text to the public chat, only to the private chat.
 
/me commands are "leaking" at random. People on PMs are seeing main room /me commands, but not at the same time, or even the same commands.
 
This evening, chat changed my nickname on my mobile connection (running Opera mini) to something that I typed.
 
Another mass disconnection requiring 2 retries to get back in about 14:47 UTC Saturday 03 January 2015, lasting over 5 minutes.
 
Another mass disconnect, currently ongoing. We've refreshed a half-dozen times, if not more, in the last five minutes.
 
Not sure if it's just me, but chat is just showing me a grey screen no matter which browser I try or no matter how many times I refresh. Is something going on right now? I had to go out for a bit when the mass disconnect started so I'm not sure anymore.
 
satriyo and Ecarlet (9999) also report being unable to reconnect.

It isn't any setting restricting who can enter chat or some control trying to prevent multiple attempts from the same IP address or anything like that, is it?
