The new Fullmetal Alchemist movie. It was all right. I liked the music, but the animation could have been better. The architecture of Table City was cool though. :dote:

The Lady about Aung San Suu Kyi. Not bad, but 2 hours are not enough to describe her life :uh..:

Fast-forwarded through The Long Hot Summer (Paul Newman, Joanne Woodward et al). One of the most boring movies I've seen...I don't necessarily dislike movies with a lot of dialogue, but this one just didn't capture my interest at all :uh..:

Not something I watched, but something I'm definitely going to. :ayashii:

Went to a live show of Mystery Science Theater 3000 and it was awesome. The movie they showed was Astral Factor and the jokes were hilarious. Last night watched another one of their movies: Earth vs. the Spider which was also pretty funny.

Watched This Island Earth on Saturday night. One of the best, if not the absolute best '50s sci-fi movie I've seen...it got a little disjointed at the end, but it was really much more enjoyable than I expected it to be! :sohappy:

^mst3k made fun of that movie as well, it's one of their best ones. lol

Saw The Raven today. It was good. More funny than I thought it was going to be.

Last night I was finally able to finish The Maid! Holy freakin crap....and such, took me forever to get through, stupid megavideo.
Also Abnormal Beauty alright movie I guess first half was lame second half was OK. I was really bored last night. I haven't been much of a move watcher lately.

:dote: *me joins in*
recentlly, I watch two France movies, Les Choristes and Le Petit Nicolas

^How was suckerpunch? I want to see it still.

Saw a movie called Devil Fish (mst3k of course) man it was terrible.

^Suckerpunch has a very weak plot and character development. In more ways than one, it can be seen as very MCP/fanservice film for boys (or a male-dominated market). Even the action in the film can be rather blasé (due to the overuse of clichés) and mindless.

However, going beyond that, one would find that this film still has its merits, albeit in very niche areas.

Some say it's a bit of a Japanophile graphic artist's/otaku's/film maker's dream film. Hence, the featuring of a quite impressive array of weaponry (from chokutos to katanas; submachine guns to heavy weaponry), very well-executed/elaborate imagery and special effects in the "fantasy" bits as well as generally very impressive technicalities in merging CGI with reality/camera-captured imagery.

If you are a special effects person, it is definitely worth a watch. However, if you are the sort that MUST have a plot or some form of character development, look elsewhere. This film will only appeal to a select few.

^Thanks! I am actually for both special effects and plots, although I can enjoy a little only explosions and effects every once and awhile. lol

Just watched Deathstalker and the Warriors from Hell with my cousin again tonight. Ahhh a classic.

The Librarian III...

now watching The Librarian I...

Both funny but kind of tacky and cliched :XD:
