Yes, that seems to be a common and logical policy.
I recently watched the anime sequel to Final Fantasy 5 and I consider pretending I've never seen it, actually.
And speaking of Yuki's music, aren't we getting THREE MOVIE OSTS instead of one now? With quite possibly moar Eri, Fion, Yuri, Tokyo Konsei and Kalafina (the latter may get three theme songs
).
Of course, some themes will be recycled, like Sis Puella Magica
to Grunty's dismay, Credens Justitiam, Puella in Somnio, Decretum etc. But I expect yet more gems to come nonetheless.
Oh, and another thing: even if the OSTs are bundled (and I bet they will be), the total number of BGMs may become enough for a separate best collection that some people here are longing for.
EDIT:
And according to the famous translation engine known as 4chan Translate...
Early copies of the December Newtype issue have started to arrive here. In it is the announcement that a new Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica project will begin production in 2012. According to producer Iwakami Atsuhiro, it will be shown in theaters and it is a work which is based on the theme of the promise between Madoka and Homura as they become magical girls. The animation will focus on the formation of their relationship, exploring stories that were briefly referenced in the tenth episode of the TV series. Fans will have an opportunity to see how the ordinary schoolgirl Kaname Madoka set a mysterious destiny in motion, and how Akemi Homura became the person that she is. The pasts of Tomoe Mami and Sakura Kyouko will also be featured, and even Kyubey himself will give up some secrets. Even new fans who have not seen the television series will be able to enjoy the film. The magazine also includes new artwork by select artists and a poster featuring Madoka and Homura together.
Just as I mused - it's Episode 10 Director's Cut + Drama CD 1 + Drama CD 3.
