Madonna said Gaga is copying her though :P And ok,maybe she composes her own music but her voice isn't that good(in my opinion of course).But i'll stop mumbling about Gaga in Yuki's forum now :blood:

I agree that we should move this to a Non-Yuki forum.....

I don't really like Lady Gaga. Her songs are catchy but there's no depth to them. They're the kind that are fun to dance to and that are popular now, but no one is really going to remember them a few years down the road (I think). Also, she kind of creeps me out for some reason.

I saw her on late night with Jonathan Ross and her interview seemed fairly normal but then she sang Poker Face. She looked like she was having a seizure on the stage and she was horridly off key until the chorus came around when two backup singers came into sing the melody with her. Yes, the melody - they weren't harmonizing or anything.....

That being said, I adore that they did a version of "Poker Face" on South Park.
 
Bad Romance reminds me of Total Eclipse of the Heart :sohappy: The chorus anyways..

I think shes too full of herself but I think thats how American artists are anyway. They all suffer from narcissim. Yeah she is off tune but at least she doesn't lip sync. Madonna is the queen of conceit I don't even care to ever meet her. I mean she is inspirational in the music world but she acts as if she is a demigod. Blech. She has flops toos just like everyone else.

gaga is fun but she won't have a lasting impact. I doubt any of our artists from today will. They just come and go.

My opinion on Lady Gaga is essentially I AM A SHELTERED ARISTO AND WHAT IS THIS.
 
Well, it's true! I have a title-in-pretence from the old Italian nobility, I grew up in a huge house in the countryside, and my grandfather's one of the people who endowed the Templeton Prize. I grew up listening to classical music and watching PBS, I don't know what to make of things like this!

Yeah i know what you mean,you remind me a friend of ours in here :stars: but pop songs can be fan now and then.Besides you can't dance with classical music and so.
Although,i am too old now to appreciate and listen to singers that sound like goats :tea:

I don't DISLIKE modern pop music, it just confuses me.

PBS is the United States' woefully underfunded public television and radio system. It's known for rerunning a lot of British stuff--Doctor Who and adaptations of Austen novels, for instance--and being much, much better at news content than it is at entertainment.

My title is baronial and associated with a town in Calabria called Roccabernarda. It's a title that hasn't been 'real' since the Risorgimento, though.

Abut that girl. I'm a bit fed up because everywhere you go on last fm everybody talks about her, I'm going to kill the next one who says she need more plays. I have found that even in umineko group.

As far I have listened to her songs( clothes shop BGM, bus BGM maybe) I do not feel them as anything new or interesting for me. About the stylism (my rare things seeker instinct) it is nothing on the other world. Yeah it is strange and that stuff but it does not have proper style on it. I just see a lot of strange clothes without any reason. I do rather prefer Arika on this, she is better, at least for me.

Oh,i barely watch any tv at all,except some US tv series like HOUSE and CSI.

yes i know what you mean :XD: At start me and my husband were like :''who is this crazy woman with the weird voice'' but that was only our opinion i guess,seeing how popular she is...I gave her a try though,but he still despises her..i putted 1 song in his mp3 :stars: and he was :knife:
Also,i don't see how people are attracted by her clothes and outfits.They are so weird..And her lyrics too :blood:

PS.Thinking about making thread asking people about their musical background and history :D
