Kaori Oda has some really good songs for Wild Arms, Hakuoki and Amnesia, not to mention Magnetic Fighter and Soul Evolution from Gunslinger Stratos.

If one isn't writing lots of music themselves, having a good lot of collaboration with composers of the calibre of Revo and Yuki Kajiura as part of ensemble performances is better than having lesser composers for solo material.
I love her songs for wild Arms and gunslinger Stratos and i also love her songs composed by michiko naruke i just hope she will make a song as a soloist the last one i think eas around 2022

What's that?

I'm not familiar.
You do not know "American pie"? Then you must be either really young or not Living in the west. "American Pie" is a teen comedy and the Akronym that thos movie Popularität was m.i.l.f you can Look it up yourself short a female person over 30 but unter 55 that is highly attractive in a special way

^ i thought it was a p*rn industry term 🤣. Even if i know the term i didnt get it at first. I thought you meant Acronym for a US State since "State" was with capital S 😅 also i googled "American Pie" and a song comes up instead.

No I am not young 😁, and I definitely don't live in the West. So it was a quite popular movie, then? I see.

Huh? Let's keep things PG and pure with Kaori, please, though I do agree she has become even more attractive.

this State
I think I can infer what you mean by "state" after your further explanation. 😅 I was definitely praising her attractiveness, but also wondering about her state of mind and thought processes now that she has a child to daily be thinking about, as a singer.

I think motherhood is a beautiful and powerful thing for a woman to experience, if she's able and willing. It's possible some of the songs she has sung will take a different meaning emotionally for her. There are some things you can't really imagine by just observing. Your emotions and hormones need to partake in the experience for the meaning to be real to you.

One of the currently well-respected, operatic sopranos out there is Erin Morley (you need to hear her! - https://www.instagram.com/morleysoprano?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw==) and she's a mother of maybe 3 young kids yet making her mark in the industry. I've seen an interview where she spoke about how a woman's voice (and career) can be negatively affected by being pregnant with the hormonal changes, and opera companies being wary of working with women during those uncertain periods, and of course after birth the massive challenges of caring daily for the little ones and their needs.

I will just end by saying KAORI looks really good and also I liked how she still remained fully her charismatic and engaging self during the times she was on stage during the Kanagawa YKL20 (I know, I know, I keep going back to that near-perfect recent live , in my eyes anyway). :plz: I am interested to see her evolution as a performer and vocalist. I am glad Kaori has Joelle to help with vocal guidance for the changes with the example of her own experiences.

I must say that a child normally Requires a huge amount of attention but if she Manages the time with her boy and her Job then ist fine also she has an Environment which can help her wirh the kid because if she had a lower income like from a blue collar Job than it would be far difficult and that was my fear (you know losing my interest as an artist in her befreundet i ever could get the Chance to get an Autograph of her)

Technically it is a term which means what i said. But it was coined the first time in the aforementioned movie. In this one of the boys have a mother which is at that time around Kaoris age (she got him when she was really young) and the other boys comment on her attractiveness but I mean as someone from a western country like me you already should have known. Also yes if you tipe in there are various song under that name the best known is the one of madonna

Not my fault, just look up what that acronym stands for.

Motherhood is a state that women's body is prepared for and it changes many things about them in hormonal and emotional level, and might change their worldview too because like you said its different to observe kids and different to have your own.

Yeah, that's true. She needs a lot of care herself as she's caring for the baby. Part of that self-care is continuing to do something she loves (singing, especially live).

Your're also right about the privilege of having this kind of career than a low-wage, monotonous job. So many people make it work though (hopefully in a loving, 2-parent household).

😆 I can imagine what it means.

It does seem to have a fetishizing aspect, I think. Anyway that's not where my mind was. She has a captivating beauty that has just matured into another phase. There's still the over-50 version of Kaori to look forward to, in the future.

I mean Eri is still a stunner at over 60. Some people just have the genes and take care of themselves. (I don't know if Eri had a family of her own).

Hoping we will soon have some music to listed to and talk about from her.

I'm acutely curious to see if some aspects of her vocals will improve or change, especially some of the more intense songs she's sang indy the years.

Speaking of how the meaning of a song world change with marriage and/or motherhood, I just thought about "Miezaru Ude" (definitive, early song of Kaori for me) and the lyric where she said something like "you can'care for this child I carry" or something like that (a bit lazy to search for the translated lyrics since I'm on my phone). I'm relying on fuzzy memory of AnotherLaurant's painstakingly subtitled videos on YouTube.

Essentially it was like her telling someone he won't be a good father for the baby growing in her womb (feel free to correct me if I'm super-wrong)!
The thoughts and scenarios (meanings) that would go through Kaori's mind, if she were to sing it again now, would be so different than when she owned Revo's stage as an older teen/sub-20-year-old lead vocalist.

It is and she referred to the red-haired laurant which was the father of the pregnant womans child but due to his drunkenness and violent temper she left him in fear that he could hit her and she would lose the baby

Oh yeah!

Arigato for the correction and contextualization. Revo and all his storytelling sagas!

The song wasn't dramatically focused on that topic anyway. It was just one thread of the entire scenario unfolding in the bar with the Laurant (and Laurencin?) that would lead to a killing.

Kaori was the storyteller and observer, but also represented the woman for like one or two phrases - a fleeting look at a side-story Revo could have developed further, from the pregnant lady's perspective .

I hope some fan uploads some snippets of her coming concert on YT. I am not relying on her to do this. I always say in german the language i speak normally (Wer sich auf andere verlässt, der ist verlassen: Who relies on others, the one is lost anyway)
