Kalafina's 17th single "Ring your Bell"

That title... brings a lot of reminiscences of other songs. And I agree: it sounds like a happy song, a la Hikari no Senritsu, as nodame89 said. But, in that case, I'm not sure if I'll like it :rain:
Anyway, any new stuff from Kalafina is well received, although I was hoping for an album and not more singles.

Budokan is coming up this week. If there's an album they will announce it there. What are the chances that they announce both a new album and single... At least, I think I will get to hear the new song there if it's true.

This is unexpected. Releasing 4 anime tie-in singles in a row?? (excluding BEST albums). I was expecting them to announce a studio album instead of this at their Budokan lives (yes, It already happened at Seventh heaven and Lacrimosa). Though a first Kalafina Vinyl release sounds sooo great! Im also getting excited since I love FSN… I hope this rumor is true! and I just wish it wasn't as messed up as HB and believe. :D

Thanks for the tip. I wonder if this will be a tie-in single to an anime, since I cannot associate the title of the song to FSN or any other anime this coming spring. Hope that it will be different from believe and heavenly blue though, even if I like them both, since I am now yearning for other styles. (And hopefully a better PV too, like look at Eir Aoi's GENESIS PV, why can't they have that kind quality for Kalafina's PVs?)

Afaik they dont perform unreleased songs outside japan for two reasons (my guess):
- Japanese fans would complain
- Purpose of performances outside japan is to promote the group by perfirming songs known from anime that are already known to the attendants of that country, and not sing a new song that will be not recognised. Dont forget that when they go somewhere they are assuming that people dont know about them, thats why they prefer anime conventions, compared to own lives.

It's possible. Weren't Seventh Heaven and Lacrimosa released on the same day?
not as related, but I just realised See-Saw's I have a dream album and kirai ni naritai single were released on the same day

Wohoo I'm really excited for this release! :w00t: I. Need. New. Music. Badly.

I don't have a player for vinyl records, but if it comes in nice packaging and with cool artwork/pictures of the girls I wouldn't hesitate to buy for collection's purpose :stars:

EDIT: And yes, the title does remind one of "ring your song", doesn't it? :XD:

All I can say is that I'm hoping for a pretty ballad, with pretty dresses to match :w00t:

Holy moly, thanks! :white: :omg: I see what people mean by the misterioso similarities :ayashii: It seems to be indeed mostly Wakana-led in the choruses...oohh there's a nice kajiurago bit :shy: That last 'ring your bell' :XD:

Quality's not that great so can't really pick out all that much, especially in regards to the actual music. I can see the similarities to Mirai and Misterioso at parts, except with potential to be better than either.

I'll have to wait until a proper recording, of course, but so far I'm quite liking what I'm hearing. It's not making me fall in love right now but it's also not making me cringe like Heavenly Blue or Believe did. In fact it's making me think of Alleluia a little in that I don't feel anything particular right now but I reckon it could grow on me quite a bit with a few extra listens. The happy, upbeat expectations seem to be true, as well, although I'm not sure how that fits with Fate/Stay Night, especially with some of the stuff that happens in the latter half of the UBW arc:omgz:.

Once again I'm pretty impressed with their ability to sing in English. Aside from the original Obrivious case (which has improved) they've been able to do rather a good job with it over the few releases that have English lyrics. Well, aside from the syntax in regards to Signal but that had nothing to do with pronunciation :ayashii:.
