Kalafina new song「moonfesta~ムーンフェスタ~」

MAJII? Whoa...that's a bit too soon, maybe, considering Wakana's current condition...

...unless...they pre-recorded all these songs in fact some time ago, and they aren't releasing them until now, and in fact the reason why Wakana sounds tired all the time now is because they recorded too many songs previously...

...I'm not making any sense now, lol... :ohoho: :imdead:

Well, that's just pure conjecture, but I think the probability is high. Or at least beginning of next year.

edit:
Just to make a comparison:
Seventh Heaven - March, 2009
Red Moon - March, 2010
After Eden - September, 2011

^ Yeah, new album maybe in second half of 2013 or early 2014 seems like a more ideal time for me...and maybe just two or three singles in between...

(actually I kinda wish FJ would release something...soon... Feel like they've been forgotten...)

I feel the same... since after eden had the least tie-in among the three album, i think most of the songs doesn't have any establishing universe... i wish for more tied songs :XD: before they release the new album.

I can't imagine a Totoro-like Kalafina song! :XD:

Yeah, you're right. xD But I think Hikaru would be good for that innocent sort of feeling.

I want the contrary. Tie-ins may sometimes limit the songs, just like To the Beginning.

Agreed~

I do wonder though, how Yuki would fit her trademark Kajiuran chanting into a children's song...it will be interesting to see... :ayashii:

Why moonfesta O__O I know moon + festa, but why is Yuki sticking those two words together >_<

According to Rikaichan, "festa" basically means "festival", so it's the same as writing out ムーンフェスティバル. Maybe she chose a shortened title to make it easier for kids to pronounce? :XD:

~2008/09, that great time.

I'd be more than happy with another AE-like album myself, but I do agree that it's too soon. Kala's breakneck pace is getting a little ludicrous - they need to step back and let FJ do something for once aside from concerts...

Somehow I think because Kala is already much more famous than FJ, Kajiura and SMEJ of course will focus their attention more to Kala.. I can somehow imagine how SMEJ "wooing" Kajiura to make more songs for Kala.

@ninetales : And I somehow I agree with your opinion with another AE-like album. I know how most of the songs are not totally new, but because I just knew Kajiura's work for 4 years, I can't make much comparison from the songs in AE with her previous work. After all, Wakana-Keiko-Hikaru's voice somehow stuck in my mind. And I found AE songs is somehow more enjoyable than SH or RM, although the live performance is not like that

^ That makes sense, but for a fan like me, it's not particularly fair :XD:

In all honesty, though, FJ has Kaori and Yuriko, and lets both of them get solo parts, especially Kaori...so I feel that they deserve much more than what they're getting. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to see Kala doing so much, but they're a little bit like the new baby in the family that steals all the attention away from the older sibling.

^ ahhh I do miss FJ's four-part harmony...and of course Wakana and Keiko would have it easier in FJ too, since the parts can be distributed more easily...there's a bigger gap in ranges between Hikaru and Wakana than Kaori and Wakana as well, so in FJ Wakana wouldn't get so tired because Kaori can share the higher notes...and then there's Yuriko who can go both high and low, so there can be a lot of flexibility with dividing the vocals up...

If FJ obtained Kalafina status, though, imagine how epic the songs would be!

For that matter, it's a shame Kalafina isn't four-person anymore either...four-person sprinter live would be so amazing... :ayashii:

Kalafina's only non-tie-in so far is Progressive, and I don't remember too many people applauding at its arrival. :leaf:

As to a lot of Kalafina works recently... IMHO that's just the consequence of SME handling about 3/4 of Yuki's recent assignments. SAO is said to be Aniplex-related, too. Captain Obvious informs that so are Madoka movies. The last OST Yuki did with Victor/Flying Dog is Pandora Hearts, and its second season is nowhere near in sight.

Then again, FJ have already accumulated three singles + Eternal Blue, summing up to seven original songs. It would be a good time for the second album, indeed. :sohappy:

+1.

I remember reading the 'progressive' thread and almost everyone doesn't appreciate it, and love utsukushisa more.

Although I love both progressive/utsukushisa. It's the best single from Kala so far for me.

It doesn't always end up being a good song anyways...

Another new song? So soon? I wonder if Kalafina ever have rest :uh..:

Well, it really can't be helped that Kalafina is really growing in popularity nowadays and ofc they'd wanna make profit from the girls while it lasts. In the end, they're nothing but a product for SMEJ. Kind of similar to the girls in a certain popular idol group.

I understand it but I can't put up with the fact SME treats them as a thing, not as human beings :uh..:
