They lip-sync eachother's lines all the time.
I don't understand why everyone's only bringing it up now. :desksweat:

I'm pretty sure Hikaru at least sings the second one anyway.

Am I the only one who hasn't seen that? I'm pretty sure it's Hikaru both times, it's just that her lower voice sounds a lot like Keiko's, there's absolutely no reason why they wouldn't focus on Keiko when she sings her line, since they obviously focus on Wakana and Keiko when they sing. Really, is it so hard to believe that Hikaru's voice sounds like Keiko's sometimes? It's not the first time we confuse them anyway...

On second thought, yes, Hikaru has lip-synced sometimes maybe in the Fairytale and Lacrimosa pv for obvious reasons. She had no lines.

im pretty sure those were keiko's lines hikaru was synching, though its hard to tell through the filter

I think its Hikaru. I don't think she would mouth Keiko's lines if she has a solo unless it is her. Undergroundpyjama is probably right. Hikaru mouthed lines in Lacrimosa and Fairytale because she had no lines. And when she did mouth words, they were KAJIURAN.

^ oO why disappointed if it was her singing those lines?

oh is it because you are disappointed it wasnt Keiko?

Yes, I am. The pv is Hikaru-centric,, but it somehow good. Kalafina's PV is getting better nowadays, since Hikari no Senritsu :sohappy: . But I could not protest, since in a lot of Kalafina's pv, Keiko stands in the front line and got all the camera attention.

+1. Poor Hikaru :(
I don't know about the first verse but in second one is Keiko, no doubts >:(

Disappointed in a way because that kind of makes Keiko obsolete. It would be interesting to notice that Hikaru can go low in a such way that she can mislead us. But that's Keiko's department as well. She already has only the bridge in the song, and now the two lines I liked the most in the song may not even belong to her. It would be as if Keiko could go as high as Wakana and she began to do that in the songs.

Well, going by the preview, they move dynamic enough... for someone standing in one place. I'm a bit ill at ease about the refrain, when the visuals just blended their images with some static background, but I hope it will work out in the end. TBH, Progressive PV was a fairly dynamic one in its field, so if Magia can pull this off, I'll be grateful.
We can wish for more action/plot-filled PVs as much as we want, but it occurred to me recently - could the girls be just too shy to play out something like that? Nervous about doing excessive dancing and moving, uncertain about their acting skills, fearing to spoil the mood of the song in some way...

Still, their voices remain different, so I don't think there is a possibility for Keiko to ever become unneeded. And here, we were probably tricked not only by Hikaru's low key, but also by the slight distortion effect in the verse.
(of course, I'm hardly the one to analyze and distinguish the voices - being someone who used to believe Bloody Rabbit was sung by Eri Itoh :desksweat: :spotlight: And despie her being my fave among Yuki's vocalists, I STILL can't hear clearly if it's her or Hanae singing Mami's theme :vortex: )

I think the problem lies with Keiko having few parts as main in most songs of Kalafina. But that is too old already, I won't dwell on this anymore.
About Bloody Rabbit, well, it's kajiurago, and kajiurago songs have A LOT of effects on them, so I think it's pretty normal to get confused with them.

It still doesn't sound like Hikaru to me :uh..:
We should watch the live performance to make it sure :uh..:

Well, the live might not be entirely reliable either, since the songs are sometimes rearranged to be more manageable/singable during a live, so who sings what lines might actually change a little.

Not sure if I like the PV judging from its 40 second sample.
I didn't even know Kalafina had a "leader", let alone Hikaru. >_>

@Chiisai: Kalafina has NO leader. They have stated this :XD:

@Viruhin: Well the people watching it live said it was Keiko singing that part. :tea:

Many of plot-filled PVs that I've seen doesn't require must acting skills and I think what their emotional expression in any PVs and live perfs are enough for that kind of PV...

Me too for Mami's Theme..., but I think it's Hanae.

As for that line... Uh..It doesn't sound like Hikaru's normal voice, but it sounds like Keiko, and don't forget that in the stretched version of Magia, Hikaru's sound is really like Keiko's. I think the most possible thing is it's Hikaru's voice treated with some trick similar to what they did with 'Darker Magia' in Epi.1... That can explain both why Hikaru appears in that scene and why it sounds like Keiko's voice. And as someone said before that they must rearrange the song for live perf.... if they really use the trick with Hikaru's voice, they have only 2 choices in performing, use Keiko or use recorded sound.. :uh..: .

Yeah, I kinda figured that would happen, even if Hikaru really was singing those lines in the recording, because of how close they are to the other lines....

Just heard snow falling on Kalafina Club tonight. It was very peaceful, calm and beautiful ballad. Wakana and Hikaru both lead vocal (can't remember hearing Keiko, though)... but I'm not sure if it was full version played...
