I'd be optimistic for the Budokan shows. Unless it coincides with another major release for them, it's going to be a 'special occasion' thing where everyone involved should have time to prepare and rest properly. Production-wise, they should pull out all the stops. Some unusual/interesting guest vocalists/musicians for instance.
Just lately they've been on the road promoting two 'best of' albums: lots of travelling, live performances with backing tracks instead of the live band, endless interviews and "please buy our shiny stuff!" photo shoots...if that's not the most repetitive and exhausting aspect of their job, I don't know what is. A couple of big shows at a high-profile venue on the other hand is sooo different from that.
It's a bit early to be making predictions, but I'll try anyway: there could be a home video DVD/blu-ray of the shows to mark the occasion. A nice little something for those of us who can't go...
