Kalafina in ANISAMA 2011 Day 2

I cry bs on that article :knife: The concert was amazing...but then again whenever I see them live the rose tinted glasses go on so I loved every second. The "Sayonara" on fairytale was 10x better than on Red Moon seriously. I even cringed in worry leading up to that part but Hikaru pulled through. Their dancing may not be entertaining but I'm enjoying the efforts they put into it. It may not be nowhere near the level of Perfume but then again Perfume can't sing in comparison to Kalafina. Also I liked the bloopers in the concert like when Wakana almost hit Keiko, or when Keiko's hair literally overwhelmed her lol. It made them human to me. But regardless the concert was amazing and that is only one perspective to go by so its not like he/she is ordained the best music critic ever.
 
^ That's not the only article that mentions Hikaru's issues with hitting her notes. And after having heard unedited Kalafina performances before, I had already been thinking that she would have problems singing sprinter anyway. Like I said, she HAS gotten better (and good for her that she fixed the "sayonara"!) but her voice in sprinter (Red Moon live version) was still strained and nasal.

Especially since it is a ballad, it seems odd for her to nearly shout live. But oh well, to each his own.

I, uh, also disagree on this too :spotlight: But then again, I think Sprinter sounds fine without Maya because I like Ke-chan's falsetto in the bridge...
 
She kind a shouted SAYONARAAAA in Red Moon.I remember she said that she has problems with singing long notes or sustaining it sorry i can't think of the right term about that,and that's something she wants to improve.honestly Hikaru hurts my ears whenever she tends to shout the notes in certain songs, but her comment about wanting to improve made me think better of her.

i mean, hikaru does sound nasally most of the time..but i didn't hear anything wrong with the "SAYONAAARAAA" on the red moon dvd..other than she couldn't hold it out good. but she did say she had problems with that..but i find it chilling (in a good way) when she sing/screams it :XD:

Mostly live bands for all of the artists in AniSama unless the music can only be reproduced through electronic programming e.g. ALI PROJECT. They never use karaoke/off vocals of the artist's original songs for AniSama. :V:

Ali project only use electronics as a base part of their music. Like kajiura in some songs but more frequently. They have keyboard and 2 violins too :uh..:
