they did not start to sing the song but you can hear the music for the last song.

Keiko must have been really annoyed if she was the one to initiate the end. I guess the chances of Kalafina coming to SG just fell through the floor. How bad were the problems for Keiko? Did they have to restart any song? I'm curious as to how Keiko scolded the sound engineer. lol. Any details? Yume no daichi would have been a good closer. Glad you enjoyed it, regardless.

Technical difficulties eh. They're supposed to get it sorted out during rehearsal, not during the first 2 performances. I see the AFA staff are still as incompetent as ever. Also, that their sound system still suck as much as ever. Was the bass so overpowering and loud that it distorts and hardly anything can be heard?

They invite guest singers and yet, put them in makeshift areas not meant for concerts (SG, at least) with sub-par equipment, rife with technical difficulties (poor fripside). It's not their first year. They've had many years under their belt and yet they still can't have a concert without incident. It's such a disgrace and so rude to the singers. It was hard watching Ichiro Mizuki (song stopped and stuttered halfway; he managed to get back on like a bloody pro) and fripside (obvious sound problems, nanjou affected by it. this would make it the second time) on niconico live. Did they at least end the concert on time this time?
 
Actually keiko did not look annoyed when she initiated the ending mc as this is something not under her control.
Though I agree that there a little bit too much of chanting the member names during time when they still singing. :plot:

Maybe it is juz me but I don't sense any problem with all the member Mic except for Hikaru in the end as she was trying to shout "minna saikou!" as she was going backstage but the Mic was off~~ :omg:

On the second day of AFAID, after receiving my VIP ticket i proceeded to the autograph drawing, but sadly didnt win an autograph coupon. A while later i met with KBH at location and he told me if I buy the consolation CD i will get a chance to get an autograph from Kalafina. So we went to the Sony Music booth and bought the CD. I had bought mine a day earlier so i only went there to receive my autograph coupon. The CD itself was the consolation cd for indonesia distribution, so it was cheaper (only around 8 bucks).

There was a special artiste appearance later that afternoon, where Kalafina and the other artists appear on stage to
introduce themselves, translated by Danny Choo and an indonesian translator. We tried to get close to the stage to take photos, but Danny Choo politely told us to not take photos and get back to our seats. After that there was an autograph session for VIP ticket holders who were lucky enough to get a autograph coupon from the drawing, followed by autograph session for 150 people who bought the Consolation CD from the Sony booth. We attended that session and received autographs from Kalafina ladies themselves. The girls were very pretty & polite (but i think you already know that lol). After receiving our autographs we stayed near the area to watch the girls a bit longer.

Now onto the concert itself, the concert started with an opening DJ playing remixes of anime songs. there was a technical problem after several songs where the sound suddenly stopped, he couldnt solve the problem and had to appologies the audiences. It was then followed by performances by Fripside, Babymetal, and some akihabara girls that i forgot their name was. I didnt really pay attention to their performance (even fell asleep during babymetal). After that, a very long intermission that made some audiences grew inpatient. After a very long wait finally kalafina appeared in their Oblivious anniversary outfit, with Oblivious as an opening song. They also sang Consolation, Hikari Furu, Manten, To The Beginning, Ongaku, and Mirai. They performed well although the bad sound system was really bugging me the most. There was also a couple of MC sessions but unfortunately my japanese is still too poor to understand what they said.

Overall i enjoyed their performance, and hope that i will see them again in the future (preferably in japan).

Now here is my long report of AFAID concert.

Consolation Indonesia version has already been released, with the 200 (?) first buyer gets Kalafina autograph aside of the 100 winner from the VIP ticket autograph ballot. I didn't get any ;_; The sad thing is, the last 3 autograph-CDs were bought right in front of my eyes. If only I get to Sony Music ID booth faster :cry:

The concert :
DJ Kazu played the remixes of some Japanese songs, including Heart of Sword by TM Revolution, 1/3 no Junjou na Kanjou by Siam Shade, Ready Steady Go by L'arc en ciel, Sorairo days by Shoko Nakagawa, and Connect by Claris. When he played Guren no Yumiya, there's problem with the audio so the song ended right before the vocal kicks in. He tried to play it again, but then there's another problem. Well, I must say that Guren no Yumiya isn't the lucky song of the night, lol.

Fripside was really good. I didn't know most of their songs, but they played around 7 songs, and the vocal was really good. There are some weak falsettos, but it's okay.

Babymetal used playback tracks, so I totally didn't pay any attention to them, and only sing 5 songs without MC.

Right after babymetal, the audiences were already shouting for Kalafina, but then we got another insert artist, Denpagumi which is horrible. Their vocal isn't that bad, but their voice was really pitchy and I pretty much plug my ear during their part.

When it comes for Kalafina's turn, they put another big screen in the middle of the stage. But then there's problem with the audio. When we're waiting for Kalafina, the song played is AFA theme song, Game Over by Hachioji P. Suddenly there's Wakana's voice, checking her mic sound by singing "Dominus sonte filia estia a vista ma vidia" from consolation but Kala girls hasn't appeared in the stage yet. And this sends the audience into shouting fits for Kalafina Kalafina Kalafina. The problem goes on around 4 times, where during the 4 times there are Wakana's voice singing that part from consolation. After around 15-20 minutes, finally Kala girls make their appearance, with the big screen showing their consolation photos and overture as the BGM.

My comments :
01. overture~oblivious
They used the karaoke for this song, but not the same as in sprinter single. It's slightly extended in the beginning, just like their other oblivious live performance.
Wakana was really brilliant. Keiko's mic sound was too low that she gave the signal to the mixer to make her mic louder. Hikaru's "aaaaa" was really good. It's almost as good as their oblivious in seventh heaven bonus DVD. 9/10.

02. consolation
Hikaru was super. Keiko's so fierce. Wakana's really good. Too bad the bass is too loud for their karaoke music setting. The girls were awesome throughout the concert, I couldn't say more. 9/10

MC#1
Keiko took the MC by greeting the audiences. She then introduced the first song, oblivious which comes from KnK and asked the audiences, how many of them know KnK. A lot of the audiences know it, so they were all 'sugoooiii'. And then she introduced consolation, which is the titular track from their 4th album, which is already released in Indonesia and asked the audience to buy it if they can. She then tell that the next song is a ballad, for Madoka (Hikarifuru) and all the audiences were 'wooooow'-ing. Wakana then took the centre place of the stage.
 
03. Hikarifuru
Now this is the main highlight of the concert. IT WAS SUPER AWESOME BRILLIANT IDK WHAT MORE TO SAY. Wakana and Keiko were awesome. i was speechless and it was really good it sent shivers to my spine and I almost cried. The audience were all shouting "Keikoooo!!!' after her 'mabushii asa~'. Wakana didn't strain her voice, it was much better than the recording. 100/10

04. Manten
Another really good performance. Too bad Hikaru is somewhat too cutesy in this song, and there's slight audio problem during Keiko's part, but it's alright. 9/10

05. to the beginning
The best to the beginning I've ever heard. All the girls were awesome. Keiko handled her "notautsu yume" really smoothly and did not use that somewhat weird staccato. 10/10.

06. Ongaku
Awesome Keiko is awesome. I pumped my hand so hard it's still aching until now, lol. Wakana's part was really good too. Keiko and Hikaru sang the opening kajiurago during Wakana's part, and that makes it different than any other Ongaku performance. 100/10.

MC#2
The girls told that they loved Indonesian food. They ate Nasi Goreng and Sate and really like it. Hikaru loves Sate for its sweet flavor and then she asked what's the audience recommendation for Indonesian sweets. One of the audience tell "cendol" which Wakana heard as 'telor (egg)' and I was like :XD: . After that they take off one of their ear monitor so they can hear the audiences properly and then Wakana finally able to tell 'cendoru - cendol'. It was really funny. Keiko then tell that the next song will be the last song and all the audiences shout 'NOOOO!!!'. The girls then promise that they'll be back to Jakarta again.

07. Mirai
Mirai was another awesome performance. I never really liked the way Keiko handled the kajiurago bridge in 5th anniversary live but in this performance she handled it beautifully. The final kajiurago by Keiko and Wakana brings smile to my face. Keiko was really awesome. :nosebleed: :shy:

In the end, they asked their photographer to take a photo with the audience. Keiko tell the audience to visit their blog and to comment so they can cherish that moment together. When Kala girls left the stage, almost all the audiences were asking for encore, but too bad it doesn't happen. :cry:

Anyway, their live performance was awesome. Really good. I didn't hear any bad notes and that wasn't only because I'm too engrossed with the atmosphere. All Kala girls have improved their live performance ability so significantly. I'll cherish last saturday night forever in my life.

Extra report : Their consolation CD was the main attraction of Sony Music booth. When Sony display the other artists CD, they didn't put any barrier. But when they're going to display consolation CD for the 2nd time. they put a barrier so the buyer have to wait in line for the CD. I was the second one to get the CD. :XD: :dote: Around 500 copies of consolation CD were sold that day (I think it was sold out). The CD is the RE of consolation, the one with Keiko in the booklet back. The price was really cheap compared to Japanese Edition. The CD only costs Rp.85.000 or around $8. Well, that's the advantage of living here in Indonesia :XD:
 
Wow, that sounded awesome! :sohappy: Im really happy you enjoyed it (and probably made you discard the doubts you had about their capabilities) I'd love to hear those Hikari Furu and Ongaku lives. If we are lucky it will be included in the next album's documentary video :XD:

I actually one of those who believed that they've improved their vocal ability with their more and more growing popularity and increasing live performance. I was trying to say that if any of you here got the chance to watch their live performance, then go watch it! it was really worthy. :shy: :nosebleed: :sparkleguy:
