"Kalafina Arena LIVE 2016" September 10-11 (Kobe World Memorial), 16-17 (Budokan)

Of course you can comment about Keiko's voice when she was better than the others singers. It's just that seems to me that saying this turned into a hobby for some people in this forum, using a ironic tone that is annoying.

I am saying that, but I REALLY love Keiko, and totally agree that she deserves more solos.

How did it get to this!? Can't we appreciate Nakajima's hair and celebrate each girl's uniqueness!? Btw, thank you Atlas Star, ritardando, and george1234. Now who do I contact for a name change?

I completely agree with Atlas, we each have our own opinions, and you can't really sound ironic or sarcastic in text, unless you use caps or say that you are being that way. It's peoples' perception of the text.

Anyways... my thoughts on each of their voices. Keiko can make me want to cry, but in a good way, and she also gives me hope/calmness and makes me relaxed even when using her "cutesy voice." (I showed my mom Alleluia and she asked if Keiko was always the lead. I said it was one of the few recent songs that she was the lead, but she has a key part in Kalafina of being the low harmony.)

Hikaru also brings joy, even though she may not be the best at times during lives, she can be very powerful and moving. She is always smiling even if she is straining/sick. She makes me smile when she does this and I think of her (and all of them) smiling in the recording booth and on stage.

Wakana always leaves an impression on me. Even now when her voice has "changed" which I know it's different now, but this last live proves she can be really powerful and do every song, hitting high notes, and then being soft and moving. From the first time I heard oblivious, I needed to know who she (and each girl) was. They all can be powerful and I think they all work extremely hard, as you can tell by documentaries. Even if the dancing is kind of ridiculous, it just makes me have more respect for them to be able to dance and sing at the same time, remembering each of their parts/lines and the dancing. (Kind of like how Lindsey Stirling can dance and play the violin at the same time amazes me to no end.) I love each of the girls for their own talents and also equally too, if that makes sense.

Also I thought to the beginning was amazing! I love this song, and I think the crowd did too. Ongaku was cool when they invited the crowd to sing, though you couldn't really hear them, or I couldn't at least. There were many fast songs, not a lot of slow ones. I actually liked Mune. Hikaru did seem a little strained, but I love Keiko's voice in this. All 3 of them I think have improved their English a lot. And I already said I love into the world. I think mine now is: into the workd>storia>symphonia>Yume no Daichi>far on the water. While I do love fotw, I like Yume more. Wakana rocked the song though. heh

I read several times people praising Keiko and saying: "I came only for Keiko, I just want to watch Alleluia, etc." This is the irony I was referring to, it was like the other two were nothing. Kalafina are the three girls, not only Keiko. In any case, I'll not touch this subject anymore, hope you got my point.

I can cry with almost everything they sing, even if it's a little bit off. Their music is still the best in the world. For me being able to watch them live this year was one of my biggest dreams becoming true. After eight years, just to be near them and can hear the songs I listened to zillions times, due to the difficult that is go to Japan, is a completely miracle.

But if they only care about Keiko how does it affect you personally?

I really just want my name changed to Nakajima's Hair or Obawo's Hair...

you can see Yui Makino's profile picture though lol

look at the last kajiurago on Ongaku, you can see how flowing his hair is. sorry for the shitty quality

I've always wanted hair like his.

This LIVE WAS EPIC! The setlist was a little strange and it wasn't plain live but with a lot of surprises. The lights, visualisations were so beautiful and making performance better and more memorable. Even storia and believe was breathtaking. I want to see tsuioku, blaze (yes, I hoped to see a good performance of it), in your eyes. I'm happy because of Natsu no Asa, Alleluia, magia, ttb, hoshi no utai! Yay! The kimono's have a strange pattern but it was interesting idea to wear kimono's. White dresses were really nice. And why under Wakana's skirt are trausers!? It was so strange. I regret that in your eyes wasn't aired... In the promo video it was a lot of fun during this performance.

This guy with interesting hair attended some lives of Nana Mizuki. I knew that I've seen him somewhere! I wish he always plays on Kalafina's lives (especially lives on dvd/bd)

I watched the live a couple of days ago but didn't have the time to comment. Excuse me if I comment everything in no particular order or if I forget something.
First of all, I must confess, as I commented here when I saw the trailer, I didn't really expect a lot from this live. Also, the fact that most of the setlist is composed of songs we have heard thousands of songs didn't excite me that much.
But I was REALLY wrong. This was AMAZING :plz:
Probably this was the most beautiful concert opening I have ever seen. Keiko standing there, alone in front of the public, and then slowly, sweetly, starting singing a capella was.. God, I don't think it does even exist a word to describe such beauty. And when the other girls appear there, oh my kokoro :touched: I'm not the kind of person who cries with music, but I must admit I was really moved with this. They should do more acoustic perfomances, their voices together have such beauty, such magic that sometimes an intrumental background can "conceal" it to some point.
I don't know who was the dude who though after the most beautiful perfomance of Alleluia ever it would be a great idea to put Believe, it totally ruined the mood. Perfomance of it was great, but I just cannot care less about the song itself...
Hoshi no Utai was amazing, Hikaru sounded great ♥ I liked the visuals here as well. However, I always though this sound would be 1000000 times better if Keiko was the main voice (same happens with Mata Kaze). Don't have anything against Hikaru tho, just think Keiko deepest voice would make this waaay darker. Just a personal preference tho, I loved this anyway. :dote:
Storia was beautiful. Magia was really impressive with the coreography, and Keiko and Hikaru seemed to be into this. Can't wait to see the Illuminati Confirmed comments once someone uploads this to youtube lol. TTB is not my favourite song ever, but girls did a great job.
Natsu no Asa was delightful to watch. I hope they perform it live ofter, it's such a charming, magical song :plz:
Acoustic version of RYB was GORGEOUS. I like the original, but this was truly incredible. Can't explain, but I at some point it sounded like something old Kalafina would do, it has that kind of charm, it gave me "that" feeling. Not to mention Wakana's high notes make everything sound ethereal ♥ I want to see this performed more often PLEASE.
Ongaku was funny as always. I really liked the idea to let the audience sing. I always love then singers give the audience the possibility to "join" the concert.
Aaand last but not least, Into the world. I was expecting a Far on the Water little brother (?) but this is waaay better. It's a really gorgeous and beautiful song. I might need to listen to it again, but for now I wan already say I already love it really much. The last "Into the wooooorld" was too perfect.
I know I forgot some songs, but there's nothing new I can comment about them.
Also, I disliked the kimonos when I first saw the photos, but now I really love them. They're strange, but look great on the girls. Not sure if they're comfortable at all, tho xD
I won't complain either about Tsuioku not being aired because everyone already did, but I'll just let you know I'm really angr about it.

I think the kimonos were fantastic. The girls felt very grounded in them (if that makes any sense; except for Keiko who did have a couple of moments where she got overly excited as per Keiko). They limited the more ridiculous choreography and instead had more grace (compared to my memories of Hoshi no Utai on Red Moon live). They worked.
