Kalafina 5th album "far on the water"

I'm still hoping for them to ditch the garbage that are believe and one light.

Sigh. I was hoping they wouldn't put the post-Consolation singles on it, because they were already on the BEST albums. And this also means we'll be getting more heavenly blue during their tour. Ughhhh.

It's not confirmed yet though, so fingers crossed.

I expect that the tracklisting in that link is just a 'placeholder' and the person who posted it knows no more than we do. If it were otherwise, there'd be more than just a few familiar titles. I'm sure they will update it when more info is available though.

Sorry to be a party-pooper there. :leaf:It's just, I think someone's playing the same "what if..." speculation game as we are!

C
Someone updated tracklist:
http://www.generasia.com/wiki/Far_on_the_Water_(album) Where is misterioso?
If it's true and all A-side songs after Consolation will be in FOW, we get 5-7 new songs.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but if this website is like Wikipedia, then I believe anyone who signs up for an account can edit the information displayed. (Side note: So @ritardando can go in there and remove those two tracks )

I'm guessing the person who put in this information forgot about mysterioso..

With the link given, product codes are also up!

Omg!.. If this is going to be the first Kala/YK album with an analog version.. The HYPE! XD

You know what would be weird? Some lurker we don't know about trawls the threads here and reposts our speculation and wishlists, then we start quoting stuff they post elsewhere without realising it came from here in the first place.

The scary part is, we may not even know it's happening... :omgz:

I wrote my post before because i don't like believe and I hate one light but those two most likely will make it (if not will be in the album) to the album, not because those two are on a wiki page of the album (that is still not officially confirmed) duh. So it doesn't matter if I erase those two from the list if they're going to be in the album. I won't spend my time doing something so useless such as editing a wiki page, after all.

@Martin it's scary... I have the same feeling about it.

Someone who updated it knows about Kalafina more than us (he knows catalog numbers, editions and prices of FOW :ghost:)

These info usually come from Weibo threads...
And these usually turn out pretty accurate, especially lately.
Maybe s/he's someone who knows someone from the company, or is working for SME him/herself? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...

Yeah it was a joke lmao :XD: I was just highlighting the non-credible nature of that page

The Best Red and Best Blue albums have KnGnN, Alleluia, and HB, so I hope SME considers that to mean to mean they've already been put on an album. If by some chance miracle this is the case, then believe, ryb, one light, and (though not on the rumored list but probably there) misterioso could be the only somgs previously released on a single.

From what I remember, Consolation had 5 previously released tracks on a CD of some kind (Mirai, moonfesta, Hikari Furu, manten, and ttb), After Eden had 4* (Magia, Kagayaku, snow falling, and symphonia), Red Moon had 4 (Lacrimosa, storia, progressive, HnS), and Seventh Heaven had the most at 7 (oblivious, kizuato, Kimi ga, sprinter, ARIA, fairytale, and serenato).
*note: symphonia is debateable because it was released prior, but it was only the TV version. I'm counting it in this case, though.

I'll probably get the album anyway, since I only got the KnGnN and Alleluia singles. I just want more new songs not tied to other works. I prefer the b-sides on singles to the a-sides most recently in particular. Here's to hoping.:cheer:

misterioso was on The Best Red duh please check your fact before posting thank you. I'd rather have Gin no Niwa or Alleluia in the album than misterioso (or one light and believe, for that matter). I totally don't get you guys protesting about Gin no Niwa and Alleluia be in the next studio album after they've already on the best album. Best Album is a compilation album, that counts DIFFERENTLY than regular studio album. After all, almost all best album materials are also on their respective albums, the only difference is that they were on their respective *original* album first, not the best album. BUT, as I've said before, compilation album counts differently than original album. Maybe you guys protesting because Alleluia and Gin no Niwa lessens the space for new songs in their next album but imo the amount of B-sides we've got this Kalafina era is already more than enough to cover that when we count new songs released in each Kalafina era. If the rumor is true then Fotw will be released only 1 month after One Light. we've had longer period waiting for Kalafina to release new materials before. After all, for me having Gin no Niwa and Alleluia in the album guarantees the album to have at least two good and enjoyable songs.

Well, what a debate.
Reading all your posts made me think: previous albums contained what, 4 or 5 single tracks released before?
And currently, FoW is announced ( and still not officially confirmed) one month after One Light...
Hey, what if they stopped the "single tracks included in album" at Believe? Or Ring your Bell?
One Light may be included in the hypothetical 6th album :ayashii:

I mean, including ALL single songs is not really a "rule" in album tracklisting. They didn't release so much materials before a complete full studio album until now. So they may consider to put RYB and OL in the next? (I do like One Light, actually :D)
That would also re-equilibrate the amount of ancient / new songs (maybe).
But we still don't know what will B-sides become

This is pure SUPPOSITION. Just an IDEA that came up reading Spirica Rose's post.
I know there are maybe 1 or 2% of chances that this might be hapenning.

(Anyway, this "wiki page" was just created by someone who wanted to have a "creating page" contribution, imo. It's even uncomplete so we just have to take it from where it comes from :P)

We have a lot to say and imagine, but this won't change anything... So, as the other said, "Wait and see" ^^

I know some of you don't like believe or One Light, or even ring your bell for that matter, but it's pretty much a given that those three will at least be on the album.

It's only Alleluia, KnGnN, misterioso and heavenly blue which I'm unsure of, since they were on the BEST albums. I know some of you want it there to "ensure the album has good songs" (personal preference, BTW), but those songs are going to be two years old now.

I'd much rather have new material for them to perform during their tour. I just don't want it to end up like elemental, where there was only, like, 4 new songs (including Storm, which is technically a cover). And yes, I know Seventh Heaven was full of songs from their singles, but that's an exception. It's the definitive, debut Kalafina album, which of course had to include their KnK songs.

parallel hearts was 5 years old when they put it in elemental, toki no Mukou was 4, and stone cold was 3. the song's age doesn't determine whether they'll include it in the album or not. imo the argument of "having more new songs in the album so they can perform it live" is not strong enough because at the same time it'll lessen the possibility for the B-sides to be performed live. Take Red Moon live tour for example. They have 4 B-sides but only sapphire made it to the DVD. That could be because they had progressive and progressive+ live events, but I doubt they'll include as much B-sides as possible even if they didn't have progressive and progressive+ tour because they have songs from their previous album. Yane no Mukou ni is another example. it's the only B-side song that didn't make it to the album, and they almost didn't perform it live in Consolation Tour. and new album songs don't exactly translate to good songs either. elemental is a fine example of that.
