As much as I love the skylines part, it doesn't fit the song. and Sorario sounds amazing

With those gifs by themselves, it really emphasizes how much they don't fit with the other parts of the song, but man they look beautiful. :dote:

Gifing gets done so fast now. Thanks for sharing!

EDIT: Oops, I think I might've not recognized my own gif set? /fail

This was the nicer ballad PV since kimi no gin. Great scenery, nice contrast between land/see/dress, the waves helped have more action in the PV. I approve of the pics/city collage it was a nice way to skip the part where girls just wait for the kajiurgo to end by walking around, but why cities and not fish, birds or boats ?

finally something different for this PV!! I really like so much, expecially the part with black dresses *W*

Wow, this PV is great! Much more better than provious!
Beautiful scenery, sea, clif... Hairstyle of Wakana :nosebleed:!! And the moments in black dresses - nice idea! But it has something common with lirycs?

I'm pretty sure the pv will fit another song in the album better, maybe monochrome as I've said before. far on the water literally says about journey on a boat through the water (sea) to the place where the light/the future is. i think boat/ship is Kajiura's favorite idiom for one's life so anything could get connected lol. what i get from the pv is the girls are stranded on an island and they dream of the future/their home which is the town with all those pretty lights.

also Wakana's dress' sleeves are ridiculous and it stood out especially when paired with her hairstyle. also kalafina please stop with curtain-styled dresses. Kalafina's dresses seem to go through a phase of goth loli-elegant with corsets-sleeveless/one sleeve/two-sleeves dresses for each vocalist-high waisted dresses-asymmetrical mess-and finally this curtain styled dresses.

Okay... time for bashing. :p

Well, the song reminds me of Mirai, which, for me (as weird it can sound) is not bad at all.
But.... At 0'20", why has Hikaru to sing "Atarashii"? It would have been way better to let Keiko end with this. That just freakin' breaks the whole thing.
0'33". Okaaaaaaaaay. Generic Kajiura rhythmics enter the scene. Well, that could have been worse, at least.
1'07"~1'11" and 1'23"~1'28": God, I don't like this. They are singing languorously, and then, suddenly, decrescendo, by steps, and faster. Again, another rhythm-breaker. I already told you that DOESN'T sound great, Kajiura-sensei. :comeback:

But, well, I'd say that I'm nitpicking.
In short, that quite works (maybe because I somehow lowered my expectations). Until 1'50". Again, the melody changes, and it comes from the blue. Just hope that it's an ellipse, that they just cut out a couple seconds to shorten the movie.

Oh... wait.

Haven't I already heard that kind of thing. Say... hey. In Mirai. And TTB, or Kyrie. And... and, yeah, in Sprinter too!

Okay. Seems that Heavenly Blue's harsh (lack of) transitions made me become crazy about that, and made me look for them in every new song. Could it actually be a part of Kalafina's musical identity I never spotted out before? Could it be one of the reasons why some people say that "Kalafina always sounds the same"?

Relax, Alex, and enjoy~~

PS: no, I didn't comment the video part. You guys know why. Just nothing to say. The usual job. Although the "silhouettes" thing is a quite good idea, but, that's all.

PPS: NP: Ring Your Bell. Well, if you don't really pay attention to the flaws I've talked so much about... well, it's not THAT bad.:idol:

My biggest complaint about "Far on the water" is that it is unimpressive as the "big wrap of the album". Seventh heaven was grand; I have a dream was cute and held a symbolic meaning as the end of a chaotically themed album; symphonia and Yume no Daichi had the hopeful themes. But this one? No climax for me to look forward to at all throughout the song ... Nothing special about it either.

Unimpressive...

@Atlas Star Thanks for the link for the proxy! I've tried using proxies before, but I haven't had any luck with them (luckily this one worked)...:uh..:

I like this PV, and the beach they filmed it at was beautiful. I do agree that the "Kalafina + Cities" was random and doesn't fit the song, but it is a cool effect. I wished they had saved it for another PV where it would have fit more.

It reminds me of Prince Edward Island where Anne of Green Gables is based from? I guess because I watched a video showing the island from shots like this, and it was very similar. Also the song reminds me of some of the Hanako to Anne stuff, so I'm okay with that.

ritar: I actually like the weird Wakana shoulder thing. heh But the curtain dresses are a little strange. They look more like capes or an actual part of the dress on the album covers, but during the PV you can tell how they are now. With Hikaru's it's pretty in the first scene of the short PV where it's blowing, but Keiko's is kind of strange.

I had the same thought about the being on a boat/island (or far on the water? heh) and then when the silhouettes appear with the cities I think it's supposed to be that they are thinking of their town far off? But maybe they should have been like george said or of a beach/small town instead of big cities. I don't know... but it's interesting.

I actually quite like the song, but I agree that it doesn't have that finale sound that the others closers have had. Going off what we've heard so far, I think FOTW would have worked better as an opener like Red Moon or Eden.

Oh I actually like it too lmao! I've been humming this song the whole day at work :XD: my favourite part is actually HIKARU's parts going into WAKANA's "dokomademo dokomademo" at the chorus (is that even the lyrics?? That's what i've been singing to myself HAH).

I've had that part in my head for days too! :XD:

Me three :XD: Wakana and Hikaru's parts are so catchy.

In the PV, am I the only one not liking Wakana's hair tied up in braids with that bun sort of thing (I am oblivious to hair styles)?

And another throwback to Hikarifuru: Keiko's hairstyle in this shot looks a lot like Hikaru's did in Hikarifuru.

^ It kinda does. I can see it, but I don't think it was done purposely. Actually, the outfits remind me of Hikari Furu (mostly likely just because of the color and 'curtain-like' style). :XD:

Keiko might've gotten a haircut maybe? I may have just not noticed, but her side bangs were not that prominent recently. I think I read on here once that she was trying to grow them out? But I guess she got them cut to her chin again.

^I think maybe because they are pinned back? I thought I noticed that in one of the covers or in the video. And I also thought the dresses look like Hikari furu. But they were a little less ruffly I guess?
