Musunde Hiraku sounds similar to their other songs but its fine. And Geez... I really love that string instrument used in Sorairo no Isu.. yeah, somewhat similar to Storm (in which I really love!).

Hoping for an energetic Keiko solo. :plz:

Well, Musunde Hiraku wasn't what I expected, and it's ok I guess, but I'd prefer being surprised with a good different song and not more of the same. Hey, maybe the whole song is really good and I end up liking it (I'm one of the few who like Mirai), but I don't know. I don't trust it yet.
On the other hand, I fell in love immediately with Sorairo no Isu. So beautiful! It reminds me of Greensleeves a bit (at the start). So nice. It is a surprise indeed, because I thought this would be the song that Musunde Hiraku is, do I explain myself?
Well, now I can't wait for the rest.

I only listened to the samples for curiosity's sake because, well, I've already preordered it! :XD:On Sorairo no Isu, it sounds like a harp with an acoustic guitar joining in after a few bars. I can't say for sure from the short snippet, but I'd say it's a steel- rather than classical nylon string, but I'll have a clearer idea when I get to hear the full thing (on a decent record player too :plot:). I do love the vocals though - I hope she sounds as good as that in the other songs as well.

Like everyone else, I find sorairo to be the better of the two samples. It's pretty fresh and just has a nice sound.

Musunde is awwwwful. It's like Mirai and Misterioso had an ugly baby.
Completely agree about the misterioso baby bit! I really dislike when Kajiura composes songs where it's just a repeating short phrase rhythm... I.e. "Shizukana YOOOOru NIIII... ToMOOOOshiTAAA... Kotoba DAAAAttTAAA... Tsumetai AAAAAme NOOOO youni OOOOOchiRUUUU" (from Believe)

And misterioso: "toOOOOOkuDEEEE yoNNNNNdeRUUUU akogare no nokshita EEEEEkoOOOOOO"

you get the idea aha

Which is a familiar theme in "musundehiraku". I am also bothered by how it seems like HIKARU is yet again straining her voice in this song.

"sorairo no isu/iso" (which is it lmao) is beautiful - a very ancient kind of sound. Folk-like, almost, and reminds me of way back in the days. Really enjoy the historical atmosphere of this song coupled with the traditional string-pluck instruments.

I like Mirai and Misterioso, and Keiko's part in Musunde is pretty. I like the strings as well.

Sorairo is pretty, but I want to hear the rest of the song. Wakana is very pretty in this song, very serene. Makes me think of her floating in a boat somewhere singing this song, unlike far on the water. heh It is very storm like, and is it cello in the background, not violin? Or maybe viola? It is a little low to be violin. I like it though. I won't listen to any more samples since only 15 more days! I can wait, yes I can. heh

Almost overslept, still managed to record most of it.
THE HARPPP.

Atlas lol. Wouldn't get what you're saying if you didn't type it out that way.
Didn't bug me as much though.

She says that the fotw album is the most energetic out of all the albums so far. It is possibly an influence of the singles.
Keiko must have a song in there.

The wait is killing me.

Really? That's refreshing.
One can only hope ;_;

So, far Kalafina has redeemed themselves. Hopefully the singles are the worst songs on the CD :XD:. I love Sorairo so far. It has nice harp at the beginning. Musunde sounds like it would sound awesome in lives, as what @Hatouchan said. I think Musunde sounds a bit like Eden.

Anyway, this means more Ongaku, less ballads. I'm sure she didn't have Hikaru lead the rest of the songs lol. Keiko must have a song in there.

Here's to hoping! :plz:Though, iirc, I don't think Keiko lead a song in Consolation (she had some bigger chunks, but not a song where she'd be considered the lead...unless we're counting more evenly distributed songs like ttb). I think After Eden is similar, except for maybe Mune no Yukue.

I listened to the two samples and Sorairo sounds lovely so far. I like Wakana here and the instruments sound refreshing. I can't wait to hear the rest.
Musunde, on the other hand, isn't my cup of tea as of right now. I'm not particularly fond of the melody (oddly enough, because it does remind me of Mirai and I don't mind that song). I can't say I really dislike it until I hear the whole thing, but I hope the whole song isn't Hikaru and Wakana with one or two inserted lines by Keiko.

Musunde hiraku is like a combination of mirai/misterioso/believe and hikaru's voice seems so.. restrained? I hate her voice in there

But sorairo no isu is so lovely. The title give a bright vibe but the sample sounds so sad (not dark yet).

But as kajiura said that the album is the most energetic, as a fan of dark songs, i cant get my hopes up (tho i preordered it already.)

^But I think of lirica as a slightly energetic song, so I guess it depends on what you think is energetic. That song is dark but also kind of upbeat. And maybe there are some like Kimi no Gin that are both light and dark. heh

Based on these two samples and the covers the album seems like it's going to be more folksy like some said, and fairytale-like. Like having stories to them. And I think Sorairo is a ballad so far. At least it makes me think of the word when I listen to the sample.

^ Use a proxy server!

SME why only Japan availability ….I'm too lazy to always do the proxy thing ugh but anyway. The kajiurago part is indeed nice (and the most interesting part of the video imo) because the rest is the standard pretty girls/scenery combo. The beach scene is too bright as people have mentioned before, but I guess they were going for that this time. Can 9/16 please come sooner ...

i was really enjoying the video until you see the girls' upper body silhouettes merged with japanese cities (i'm guessing lol)..that part ruined it! hahahahaha

Thank you, @D-chan2510 :)

Thoughts:
1- KEIKO looks beautiful at the intro
2- Their white dresses were a perfect complement to the brown soil and green grass in their background. I really enjoyed the view of the ocean from such a high point also at certain points of the short PV.
3- Shots of KEIKO near the cliff. Enough said.
4. The shots of the city lights through the girls' silhouettes were magnificent as well.
5- The end of the chorus in "Far on the Water" sounds very reminiscent of YUUKA's "Seiya", right at the part before YUUKA sings the chorus "silent night kogoeru yoru ni wa". Just an observation.

For those of you outside of Japan, I used this proxy site and just pasted the link provided by D-chan and I was granted access: http://proxyjapan.nu/

I don't know if this can be done all the time, but using the link, I converted the video to an mp4 file and downloaded it. Plays fine for me. I didn't really know any proxy servers to use, so I did this. I guess it's an alternate option in this case.

As for the video, I did like the silhouettes with the city lights. I love silhouette shots in general. :love:It just doesn't seem like it fits the song, though.
And, once again they are standing in a triangle formation someplace as the main part of the song.... It's getting really boring. :uh..:Switch out the dresses, hairstyles, and backgrounds, you've got like half of their PVs. I specifically thought of symphonia for some reason. They look great, in any case.

Well, that pv is nice. Through watching it I was like 'okay, Keiko close up, Keiko body shot, Hikaru close up shot, Hikaru body shot, oh, another Hikaru close up shot, Wakana body shot, Keiko close up shot???!!! Where's my baby faced Wakana at-*watches Wakana get two close up shots, both with her smiling, and gets a heart attack* Those shots of the girls and the city is really pretty and unique, but doesn't fit the song at all.

But at the moment, I am trying so hard not to click on those links for the songs, I have set a rule for myself that says I can't listen to the songs until I get the album physically :uh..: better stay away from this thread for a while then
