Oh my goodness, Wakana looks horrible. The hat itself is all right, but from that angle it looks like it's growing from her head :omg:

Keiko looks all right, but actually a little annoyed :ayashii: I think Hikaru looks the best :dote:

I wonder if I sound as completely pessimistic and picky to everyone else as I do to myself? :uh..:

Seriously, I would prefer Eden with another style of music.
I have to confess I loled with the intro/bridge of in your eyes, is the image song of Sonic 3's first zone, lololol. You have to recognise that it's a nice song, the funniest song of Kalafina's discography.
destination unknown is so repetitive, always the same thing...
magnolia is the new Kyrie ♥♥♥ - sandpiper is serenato and neverending is Hikaru no Senritsu, laralara.
Chorus of Mune no Yukue was really good, I don't know if I like the whole song. Kajiura's experiments! HAHA! This song will be used as opening credits for an american sitcom :D

The HORN of symphonia (there's a horn, right?)! ♥♥♥♥♥ But then... a heavy electric guitar, WTF?!

Things I loved: -
Things I liked: sandpiper (the instrumental and verses), destination unknown (the only cool Kajiurago on the album, unfortunately the song gets repetitive pretty fast), magnolia (yep, it's the love come down&Kyrie love child that everyone expected, I don't think it's better than either parent though);
Things I didn't like: lack of awesome/surprising Kajiurago, Yuriko on backing vocals (kek same complaints I had on Red Moon), Mune no Yukue (I think it's the next step in the direction I have a dream took and I don't want to go there - I guess it's better than being forgettable though);
Things I found forgettable: Kajiurago, Eden, Kugatsu, neverending, Kotonoha;
"Holy fucking shit" moments: in your eyes (I don't know how I even lasted the minute before I started fast forwarding);

Better luck next time.
 
Again, I'm feeling a little hesitant to listen... :...: But I will do it anyway! I'm not that picky with songs, as long as I like listening to them, so it's probable that I'll like the album.

My opinion:

Eden - happy and voyagerish,

sandpiper - love the part before the refrain, really good combination of the 3 girls voices, gives a power feeling,

Kugatsu - beautiful but kinda stereotypica bridge.

in your eyes - love the percussion but didnt like much its melody. too repeatitive especially "in your eyes" :uh..:

destination unknown - OMG this song is awesome, definitely the closet to Rock EVER Yuki has made :nosebleed: :nosebleed: :nosebleed: :nosebleed: , find its melody a bit repeatitive but the rest of the song's features repay it for sure: love Keiko's part after the first verse, and the bridge is awesome, also I find really innovative the part where the chorus appears at the last verse after the bridge where both Hikaru and the chorus are heard, kinda reminds me of the tsubasa OST Better than Magia arrangement-wise but not melody-wise.

neverending - better than I was expecting it will rewrite my opinion on it later. forget it, relistened and noticed how much repeatitive it is :uh..:

kotonoha - extended interlude :XD:

magnolia - so disco-ish, kinda like Ongaku and love come down, nice e.guitar solo, but doesnt excite me much :uh..:

Mune no Yuke - Pretty Fresh, Keiko Main Vocal for first part!!! :dote: :sohappy: :sohappy: funny english chorus
"come to the sound of the river up high" ? :XD: Hikaru main for the rest, like old times guitar solo. love the song :dote: but the piano at the end kinda destroys the mood of the song. :uh..:
full symphonia (for the new part) - nothing new it seems apart from the new lyrics and the nice instrumentation. But ugh horns replaced by e.bass in the bridge :cry:


Really nice album overall,in my opinion: Best songs: destination unknown, Mune no Yuke, sandpiper, Worse: in your eyes, magnolia.
