Thanks a lot, Elcazador!
I
love Here We Stand, so the comments here have intrigued me... Well, upon listening, I like Eden a lot. But if you force me to make comparisons...
Voyagers - YES
Here We Stand in the Morning Dew - NO. Unless we count the overall background rhythm which I suspect to be the main thing that led people to compare it to Here We Stand.
I've also caught up with Kugatsu, and it actually reminds something I wanted badly last year - an extended Intermezzo. Although I wonder if the ipression derives from the sample's quality unitentionally copying Intermezzo's stylishly half-muted parts.
There's also a Kagayaku flavour to this song, maybe much stronger than the aforementioned Gloria/Haru wa flavours. Maybe the flute+chorus is responsible?
Overall, these tracks live up to my expectations from Kalafina.
Nothing aiming to reshuffle my Kalafina top 5 so far, although Eden may end up close enough.
I was expecting it to be at least like Kioku no Mori.... but this is pure FictionJunction-Stuff ...
Dunno about "pure", but not gonna argue since I've just compared it to Voyagers which to a significant degree IS a FictionJunction song.
Though I, too, expected Eden to be a dark/sad song. Mainly because the album is titled "AFTER Eden", and last time I checked the Bible, leaving Eden and the preceding events were LESS than happy stuff (insert understatement tag here).
