Kalafina 19th single "Blaze" ED for Arslan Senki Fuujin Ranbu

In case anyone is wondering, 夏の朝 means 'Summer Morning' and yes, we are getting an instrumental for both tracks (yayyyyyy)

And the B-side isn't into the world so I think that into the world would be part of a new album. I think that Kalafina release one new single in the autumn, then album in winter (I hope that into the world won't be a title track).

Whoever thought thin bright red text on a dark background was a good idea should not be designing album covers :uh..: The girls look amazingly gorgeous but the word 'blaze' in that colour on that background is so hard to read it's making my eyes ache
THIS
This was the first thing I though. The color choice is awful and breaks all the darkness and misteriousness (?) of the image. Not to mention the font is like barely readable, And even less readable in that hell color (?) What a mess.
The Regular edition looks great, has a misterious feel to it (despite the red letters created by an apparently blind person) the others are like meh.
I really miss their lolita, super baroque style, Or maybe something more toned down like Kimi no Gin no Niwa or Moonfesta. But this simpler style is too simple for my taste.
As for the song, I liked OL better. Even if it´s not their best rock song, OL was catchy enough to put it on repeat and start singing on the chorus, and was nice to see live. Blaze seems more boring to me, but at least it´s not another HB or Believe. Seems like most animu-non-kalafina-fans love them, but they´re hated by the 99% of older kalafina fans.
Also, having Hikaru back to lead a song is fantastic. Hope Keiko gets some part too.

I loved Kimi no Gin no Niwa. It had a very unique feel to it, partially because of the harpsichord. I agree that I miss the more baroque styles because it adds different flavors to kalafina.

The song, blaze, and its PV are very mainstream-esque anisong, and I applaud Kalafina for breaking into this mold. Let's face it- to be popular, you sometimes have to do what the general public wants to hear. And kajiura doesn't fail to impress me with b-sides and album tracks (musundehiraku, lapis, monochrome, usumurasaki... List goes on).

for natsu no asa, i hope Keiko get the lead. i mean, her voice is deep(idk how to say it) yet warm and soft, and i kinda get this feeling that natsu no asa is like the twin sister or bro of mahiru. ballad-slow-sad-relax kind of music.

as for this

TOTALLY AGREE. geez, the first time i saw the cover art i was like "what's that red thing down there" too hard to see, and the font just didn't match the theme. well, we can consider that red is a bright colour, but, if the font is small and script type and the background is black and THIN, it's just, just bad. a bad choice.

Ι mean they might have similar style. Besides, if those photos she posted back in May are the musicians of the single, the c/w will have flute Acoustic guitar and percussions which are exactly what Natsu no ringo has too. oh there's cello as well.

Still wondering for what kind of soundtrack she's working in and WHY ITS KEPT SECRET
Its too early to do Sao already.

Have you realized that, in the PV, when it's ending, Keiko is singing? Let's hope she has a bigger part in Blaze :) (If you have already said it, sorry, I didn't read it).

You are right ! She says "taiyo wo", I didnt notice, but i dont have high hopes, its probably just as much as Hikaru sings at the beginning of the song after the intro

Rekishi hiwa historia? Isn't there a season of that happening right now? :confu:

The fact that we're getting an instrumental for Natsu no Asa makes me think that it'll be an insert song, since Mirai was an insert song in the first Madoka movie. Maybe it'll be used towards the end of the show when Arslan will be fighting against Hilmes (the main villian)...

^ manten was special ED but didnt have any instrumental. So it having instrumental doesnt make it an insert. Also for RHH, the music if its new should be normally airing already and i think she mixes the tracks before they are used in the show, and remember that the RHH season started on April 22, so if it was soundtrack its should be finished before that date. I think its just a project they havent announced yet or she's making music for SAO or HF movie way too early.

PS: Yesterday @yuki.n told me that Y Kajiura wrote in twitter that she was working in a battle bgm, and she was saying to her sister "stop battling already live in peace" and so her sister (Miki) told her " stop already we need to go out " and so she wrote on twitter "she doesnt feel me at all" and then said "im going to relax and 'll come back later" so she left the score to go with her

@Westkana is saying that Natsuno Asa might be an insert theme based on the fact that the only other time in Kalahistory we got an instrumental for a coupling song was "Mirai", which was an insert theme song. His assumption is based on the fact that all instrumentals released for kalafina have been A-sides (I am including "Mirai" into the A-side category); thus, Natsuno Asa can potentially be an insert theme.

Of course this assumption can be wrong, but by simply saying manten was also a special ED and had no instrumental is just dismissive and ignorant.
