Kalafina 18th single "One Light" for Arslan Senki [confirmed]

@Kugayama, I'll fall into your trap and respond fully expecting this thread to get closed soon (hey, it happened before):
Is saying "its a serious issue" and dismissing people mentioning said issue constructive (and not off-putting)?

I get its a serious issue, but this argument has just been going on and on for a while, and it's getting so redundant just reading the same posts over and over again.

As for you people whining over Keiko not getting enough solo parts in songs, I love Keiko and her deep voice, and without her there would be nothing in Kalafina. Keiko's voice is a standout for me, especially in harmonies. (...)

*stands back to accept the flame*

Im am not closing threads with constructive discussions as long as no personal attacks and no insults (with intention to insult) are involved.

@grunty I think that we just end up enjoying what we enjoy and wait on the release of the new single.

Cool. If that's all, I don't really see why you felt the need to quote me in your previous post.

Told you this before but I don't think you are capable of telling when insulting is actually happening. :P You're just sensitive to cuss words.

@grunty I do not understand what message are you trying to convey here.
How did she dismiss anyone? Are you referring to her "as for you people whining over Keiko" line? Is that your definition of a dismissal?

I personally think all she was doing was giving some constructive criticism on the matter. She did not specify who that line was aimed at, hence not hitting below the belt, instead it can come as her merely opining as to how she felt about this Keiko discussion.

@Smoshes,
I just left too much of that quote in - it was supposed to jump to "accepting flame" after the first line. Acknowledging "serious issues" and complaining about people mentioning them is not constructive at all.

Commenting on the other part of your post, however (and this doesn't relate to reallymagicmagiamahou post), I find that speaking "in general" without directing it at anyone (when it is) is worse than engaging in discussions with specific people but as Kuga put it - to each their own. Actually, scratch this, how can you say that it was not directed at anyone? :-P We can see who commented on Keiko in the posts above.

@grunty, sorry man, I still dont see your point. I think you're letting this rub you the wrong way, I dont think she meant it in a way you think she did. As for the "serious issue" line, maybe she thought it was a serious manner since everyone was having a debate about the matter? Even though it was just some of the members having a healthy discussion

As for your opinion on my statement, if you prefer a direct statement then thats good. It shows that youre not one who likes sugar coating things, but not everyone is like you. There are people who prefer the vague approach and there are people who prefer the direct approach. Theres no worst or better in either of these approaches. It all boils down to personal preferences and approaches.

Either way grunty, just let it be ok? Dont let it get to you, because as i stated earlier, i dont think she meant it that way ok?

I was simply continuing a conversation with Kugayama about being "constructive" and called out complaining about people complaining about "serious issues" (which is what magicmagiamahou did) as not constructive. There was no "attack" or anything directed at magicmagiamahou there. If anything, I didn't understand Kugayama's point in quoting me (like I said before).

I know but I was referring to your post before Kuga. Kuga was just trying to keep things calm, he is the moderator after all haha.

My post before Kuga's was what it was - responding to people complaining about posters not liking things in the same way others did to me multiple times (for example when I said Wakana can't perform live). You can call me bitter.

As for Kuga's trying to "keep things calm" - no, he wasn't. He knows how I am (he didn't just become a mod today) and if that's all he had to say (#180 and #182) then he was just rubbing my nose in by calling my posts/opinions "off-putting" (by including a quote of mine). Logicks.

PS. Look at our local intellectual critic liking Kuga's post. Personal attack! Woooo. I'm dum. We have a history.

@grunty Yup that was the post I quoted in my first reply to you.
Nah youre not bitter, youre just you. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions after all c:

You know whats bitter though? Lindt 99% Dark Chocolate, god D; (have you tried it? if you havent, do try it if you get the chance!)

Oh i did didnt I? Great this is embarrassing!
hahahaha sorry im so slow! D;
hope you still got what i was trying to say though! ahah sheesh im so silly

@grunty you know im not native speaker so sometimes there might be some words that i dont understand, like "off putting" which i didnt know what was till i googled it. Anyways Kuga is mod main for the spambots rather that the forum peace i think, so up there he was just stating his opinion. About off putting now,im am sure you are used to the fact that you oftenly express unpopular opinions, so someone calling your post off putting shouldnt hurt that much huh ? ;) btw Kuga is male :)

@george1234, I don't think that many of us are native english speakers.
I don't really care so I guess I'm used to it? When I say I wouldn't mind Kalafina to disband I expect it to be "unpopular" with Kalafina fans. There's times when I don't feel some posts make sense though...
I'm pretty sure we haven't referred to Kuga as a female.

Okaaay, maybe we can just hold off posting on this thread until we at least hear a small sample of the song? Most of the recent posts here are now more suitable for a different thread, lol. What started as talking about expectations for this song became a heateddiscussion of what ifs, what nows, and what musts for Kalafina and Kajiura. This will not sit well with everyone, as you can see for yourself.

Nevertheless, I still find delight on the fact that there are already some of us who have pre-ordered this single without a doubt (will be following suit in a few days). xD

I'll be doing the usual and waiting for the cover arts before deciding on which edition to get unless there's a confirmation of actual live footage or anything. Then again that only happened with Progressive, so it'll probably be down to the covers.

Regardless of the quality of the song, the b-side should be good. Here's hoping it's not a tie in b-side because that's never worked out well. Stupid snow falling/Mirai.

I know, that's why I didn't mention it. snow falling and Mirai were both terrible and I keep forgetting dolce is even a thing, so it's not a good track record.

Since the vinyl's already out of print on CDJapan, I'm glad I preordered when I did. Even if I don't want to keep it (unlikely, since I'm bound to at least enjoy the b-side) I can always sell it on to someone on here for the same price that I paid.

It would've been nice to hear some audio samples or see some artwork before committing, but there you go.
