I understood what you meant, KP, I was just saying what I thought was going to be the rest of the song. :shy:

And I agree about the flute, while it fits in some songs like Natsu no Ringo, I don't think it would fit here, and I doubt she would use flute since it wasn't in the original song, but that's just me. I'm hoping for more violin and maybe some guitar. (Unless the flute was in the background of the singing and very subtle.)

^Ok ^^

It'd be nice to have a guitar solo, but I think it might be a kajiurago/Japanese bridge just like TTB. Or maybe a violin one. Well, who knows, we just have to wait for two more weeks to listen to the result.

On a side note, F/Z tomorrow, oh yeah!

I thought you'll be mad at my post :XD:

Yeah, just wait for 2 more weeks and we'll hear what "Manten" will turn out like.

Yeah, Fate/Zero tomorrow :D Finally gonna have something to download and watch *cough*

We can begin the countdown :XD: :XD: and we'll finally listen the complete version! :sohappy:

Woohoo Fate! I am excited to see how the tv size will look with the opening animation. :dote:

And I can't wait until I get my package, since I will be getting the poster and tshirt as well. It will be a good week.

I dunno...I think a flute solo might work reasonably well in Manten, and I normally can't stand too much flute... :confu: Something tells me there's guitar in this song, though~ :dote:

Coincidentally, I do think that there's been a certain degree of repetition in Kajiura-sensei's works throughout the years. Even certain parts of Kakurenbo and La La Africa have similar chord progressions and melody lines, and those are some of her earliest works. So at least to me, repetitiveness in composition isn't something that just appeared overnight in her work.

I do agree about the repetitiveness in parts of Let the Stars Fall Down, though. But I also don't think she'd carry those parts over to Manten - that seems like a bit of a naive thing for her to do. :ayashii:

^Yeah, I agree with you. Repetition is bound to happen with composers that work as much as Kajiura does. What bothers me is how this seems to have become constant nowadays, like a tendency. But well, that's off-topic so I won't extend this.

And true, she probably will bring something new. It's just that, if you take storia and snow falling, their lengths aren't that different from their kajiurago counterparts, so I'm really curious as to what she will do with Manten.

can i join the conversation?? hahah though im extremely excited about fate zero 2nd season im keeping my expectations (for the TTB single) at a reasonable level. Haven't even heard TTB full track and im desperately hoping for manten to keep some hanae-sama's vocals :shy: or even brand-new kajiurago (bridge) by her :nosebleed:

btw @KP-X i see what you mean because one thing i like about kajiura-sama's compositions is definitely her flexibility to come up with a full body compositions out of several apparently different tunes and twists (even with the same instruments) this is not usual for her sorry if i wasn't clear.hahaha

Kick me, but I always enjoyed seeing this "I always defend kajiura-sama works no matter how repetitive they are-Nick" and "I'm a critical fan that loved her works but found that her recent ones are repetitive-KP-X" quarreling. But I'm on KP-X side, mostly.

KP-X? I thought I was mostly bickering with Grunty and Kazado about this. :XD: And we never quarrel, just standing their ground each in these arguments, but with no spite for one another, AFAIK. :sparkleguy: You can rest assured - I'm far from denying that I AM a hopeless fanboy, and everything stated is my IMHO first and foremost. But I believe both :nophoto: and :nophoto: attitudes can coexist here.

I do agree about the repetitiveness in parts of Let the Stars Fall Down

Well, I'm not sure who wouldn't. It's mostly strings part and Hanae part. :ayashii:

What bothers me is how this seems to have become constant nowadays, like a tendency.

Not going to dive deep into offtop here either, but let's observe her anime line briefly, for example:
- earlier works: romantic stories to detective stories to Dragon Quest high on mushrooms to philosophical girls'n'guns to cyberfantasy to technofantasy to FF-style fantasy to ghost romance high on Akiyuki Shinbo to whatever Tsubasa Chronicle may be to post-apocalyptic epics to something gothic which Pandora Hearts seems to be.
- recent works under Aniplex: KnK, MadoMagi, Fate/Zero. All involving some kind of urban fantasy with mages. All grim and solemn with a ray of hope glimpsing occasionally. All packed with tragedy. Two related to TYPE-MOON and two related to Gen "No fluffy plots for you" Urobuchi.
Much due to KnK's schedule, these works span about last 4-5 years, which is sure long enough to be labeled as "nowadays" :glasses:
SAO seems like it might interrupt the tendency, either by leading Yuki back to cyberfantasy again, or by demanding something to paint the show's promised harem trends, or someway else. We'll see. :tea: :ayashii: :XD:

Feel free to leap to the usual "quality" thread to chat about it, if you like. :XD:

Let's wait for Fate/Zero, then. :ayashii: :shy:

@Nick : I just joined this forum 6 months ago and get active this past 2 months, and on that span I mostly see you and KP-X quarreling LOL

Oh well, your Yuki-anime-timeline kinds of give me some "connection" between her animes now. Well yeah, just wait for Fate/Zero.

I mostly hope for KP-X and her critical analysis again. :ohoho:

Anyone tell me what this is exactly? Something about a mini-live event? :confu:

Some kind of in-store event for promoting the single, it seems. Like what they did before, they sing in a store, most likely 3 songs, the a-side, b-side, and extra one. Usually afaik, they sing it inside the store (?) but maybe this time the venue will be outside the store (?) because there's "It may be cancelled or moved in case of rain" there.

Why do they have to promote it this way... :uh..:

To make people who coincidentally in the store buy their single, maybe. When some people hear their music/singing, maybe they'll think "oh, that's cool.Who are they? I'm gonna buy their single."

^ Or, in others' case, they'll think "They sing really badly. I can't imagine how their recordings must be" and quickly leave :psst:
