I'm asking the same question to Clara Kennedy via facebook too, about how she met Yuki and her reply is:

I met Yuki through my friend Cherry here in nyc. And I met Cherry through my dear friend Scott Matthew who has also done vocal recordings for Yoko Kanno- not sure about the spelling. Thanks again.

@Yuki88 : yeah, Yoko Kanno. Scott Matthew voice can be heard in Cowboy Bebop. And it seems that Clara is in a relationship (?) with him, because they often perform together.
@Kerahna : I add her on facebook, and I give her a message and she replied me. She is a nice person.
Clara's "I Swear" is kinda famous in USA. A lot of her friends praise her for I Swear and her mother really loved that song.

@Kerahna : Because when I add her I gave her a message too, because I think it's kinda improper for me to add her on fb, and I praise her "I Swear" and ask her if she has another formal recording. unexpectedly she confirmed me and says thanks for my compliment *she said : Thanks for your kind word!*
and from then on, i message her asking about how she met Yuki and how her friends response about I Swear. her friends praise her, and said that she is an international singer and famous in Japan, although Clara said that she was not THAT famous.

Is there anything you want to ask?
