I'd say she doesn't have a flutist in her band because it's not needed for every concert, not because she doesn't trust Rie Akagi.
If a flutist is needed then she just invites her as a special guest.

@Black Sword: Where did you saw the complain? I just said that, that she said these words doesn't mean we wont see another orchestrated work in the future.

Wow so glad someone was awesome enough to write down the interview questions :sohappy:

I believe the interview/documentary should be on NHK under the imagine-nation show. http://www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/english/ ... index.html

The woman in the picture looks verrry familiar so I think shes the one that did the interviewing during the con. If anyone knows how we can watch it please do share :shy: I'm pretty sure it will air in the next two weeks or so.

Catfights all around :plot: I'm hoping the Germany performance doesn't get so heated with arguments. But then again haters gonna hate.

Wow, I just read all the reports on this thread and I see that the concert was awesome. There are lesser people now who sees nothing but flaws on Yuki and FJ/kalafina whatever. I wish I could also experience seeing them perform live.

@Murrue May be not. IIRC, the only one chance to take a photo is during Red Carpet&I already skipped it..Orz.

(P.S. (out of topic) I scan the Thai translation of Kajiura's interview in Seed Destiny day from my book in Thailand already. It isn't long but it seems that it won't be easy to translate... :uh..: ...I may need some time to complete it.)
You did?! Please PM me if it's already done. I'm dying to read it, and thank you soooo much!!! :touched: :chuu:

You cannot count on god's judgement until you yourself die and see for yourself if he's real or just another creation of the human fantasy (see gods of Olympus, etc) and that's for all religions.
uhm you don't need to die just to affirm if there is really a God.

There was a girl cosplayed as Keiko (It's Keiko'scostume in one of YK's live..can't remember..Orz) and Yuki&Wakana could notice that. They talked sth. about Keiko with her but I couldn't hear it clearly...so pity that I couldn't see when 'Keiko' met 'Keiko'...lol.

Heheh... I was dressed up as Keiko... Yes, I made an account here just so I could say that. =D I am glad to know that FictionJunction and Yuki Kajiura weren't the only ones who recognized who I was... =D

While I was standing in line on day 1 for the autograph session, I saw Keiko looking at me a few times. When I moved to the front of the line in my row, she asked me if I was dressed as her, and I told her I was. She was really excited about it, as were all of the other members of FictionJunction. When I finally made it to Yuki, she commented on how she liked my Feather headband thing, and then Wakana told her that I was dressed as Keiko. The were impressed when they figured out that I even knew what Live it was from (Volume 2) and that it was a homemade costume. I felt way cool. =D

Yuriko was so cute! I love her! I never realized how shy she was. =D

When I reached Keiko, I told her that she was amazing. She signed my CD booklet and then had one of her attendants take a picture of the two of us. I think she was pretty excited that someone had dressed up as her. I haven't been able to find that picture anywhere(I have been scouring the internet for it...), so if anyone finds it, please tell me! I would love to have a copy of it! =D

After Kaori signed my CD booklet, I felt like my life was complete! Well, almost complete - I still had an epic concert to go to(!), but that was my experience with the autograph session.

Thanks for the info, Mezame! I hope I can watch it :stars: Surprised I didn't have to wade through catfights to get to your post, though......

EDIT

Oh, I see imagine-nation is a half-hour program...no hope of the full concert being shown, then, unless it's on a different show :rain:

@ salva nos: Where's the hater now? I didnt said I hate her band, I love it, I just want some more instruments in it so that the performed songs are closer to the recordings ( so that violin doesnt replace all the strings and the flute), and some orchestrated work here and there (we had HnS, and Xeno II, III about 5 years ago, its about time for a new one).

@Mezame: If its going to be in it and not as special individual broadcast we are going to only a get a short taste of how it sounded like, 1-2 mins of song and lots of interview and blabber from the presenters of the program, at least that how the image nation show I;ve seen are.

@murrue: so many nice photos :dote:

Except Kajiura-sama very clearly doesn't like either of those ideas. She has the people she trusts in her lives, so she'll stick to them because she knows she has nothing to fear with them.

Omigosh all the girls were amazing live. And the autograph session was SO FUN. I was one of the lucky people that was able to line up early in line so got to get my autographs pretty soon. I was so nervous that the only lines I could scrounge up in my head was "Your live was the best! Do your best!" in japanese. Here's how it went with each member with my simple japanese... (I was so nervous I think I forgot the little bits of it :()

Me: Your music is so beautiful! Thank you for making your music!
Yuki: Thank you so much!

Me: Your live was the best! Do your best!
Wakana: (in english) Really? Thank you!! *in the cutest genki way possible and waves me bye*

Me: Your live was the best! Do your best!
Yuriko: Aww thank you! See you again in concert? (in japanese)
Me: Yes! For sure! (in japanese)

Me: Your live was the best! Do your best!
Keiko: Thank you!

Me: Your live was the best! Do your best!
Kaori: Thank you! I love you!! *waves with both hands*

I know it doesn't sound like much but I was SO excited to see them...I was shaking @_@

I don't understand the "trust" idea about the live band...if Akagi Rie isn't "trusted" by YK for lives, then why has she been a special guest in the past, and why is she scheduled to appear in the upcoming concert? For that matter, why did Nozaki Masuke and Toudou Masahiko each play with Kajiura-sensei in several lives if, by assumption, she only "trusts" Satou Kyoichi or Konno Hitoshi as drummer and violinist respectively?

I can understand sticking to a band that's done well in the past, but I don't think that explains why Akagi doesn't perform with them. This is of course my opinion, since we have no explanation of the situation as yet, but I think it's monetary-related, given the fact that FJ is signed to Flying Dog, which is a smaller company than Sony. Not only that, but for all her popularity, I believe YK's live music in the form of FJ is a relative "niche genre" in Japan, as opposed to Kalafina, which has been heavily marketed by Sony lately. So to me, it only makes sense that Flying Dog would choose not to spend a particularly large amount of money on FJ lives - as much of a shame as it is, they most likely figure that Kalafina will beat them at every turn and the money for regular flutists/cellists/etc. will be wasted. (Of course, this doesn't explain why Kala has a similarly limited band, but I'm assuming the "trust" situation also doesn't apply to Kala's case, given the fact that they have performed with quite a few more musicians than FJ. A good example of that is in the Progressive tour, which had a completely different band right down to the guitarist.)

^ + Susumu Nishikawa (e.guitar) had been to Yuki's AnimeExpo live in 2003. True, its probably a monetary issue, and not so much about trusts.

i seriously had to dig around to read reports about AX...come on, guys. make another thread about whatever issues you have and leave this thread out of it. :uh..:
i'm trying to see what i missed by not going  :XD:
overall, i think it was a good concert according to some friends of mine who went (nimsaj included)..btw, nimsaj, why don't you share your recording of the whole concert with us :ayashii:

guys, if we beg her nice enough she might share it. i saw her yesterday and she showed me her recording of the WHOLE concert :dote: of course, no video, just sound. i guess she pressed record and then put it down by her bag on the chair and enjoyed the concert (she can be heard singing along and screaming lmao) sorry nimsaj that i had to put you on blast :XD: don't hate me :groucho:

I agree on this, I think Black Sword may have misinterpret what was Yuki trying to say, I mean she didn't said she doesn't want an orchestra, string quartet or other instruments I guess and would just settle on the front band members during live performances.Konno-san isn't just Yuki's violinist, we also had a female violinist during one Kalafina live. So I don't think that it has something to do with Trust here. In my opinion, Yuki was just complementing her band members on how comfortable she is being with them.

In my opinion, Yuki was just complementing her band members on how comfortable she is being with them.

She pretty much said that there's nothing to worry about because she brought her band members.

I wanna see photos of your cosplay :ayashii:

Yay I'm so excited about the concert being shown in TV. I mean, we will be able to see it <3

Thanks george for gathering all the reports!

@george
my post wasn't directed at the "band members" discussion. I was referring to how this thread was supposed to document the experiences of those who actually attended but instead it escalated into a series of arguments. Funny thing was the people that started these earcancer/live performance arguments were the ones who did not attend.

@Mezame
Thanks for the link! That has to be the show! Hopefully we'll get to see it soon :nosebleed:

I wouldn't expect to see a full documentary of the show unless FJ released a dvd like Kalafina has done on their past albums. It will be nice to relive those moments :dote:
