Interesting how Ayaka Hirahara will be on UTAGE tonight as well. (Ayaka Hirahara will also be on the episode of MUSIC FAIR with Kalafina).

Chihiro Onitsuka? The Chihiro Onitsuka who sung This Silence is Mine in Drakengard 3? That is one of the best songs I've ever heard, so now I have high hopes for this.
 
Pretty neat cover, I must say. I don't know who the guy was but harmonising with Wakana was nice.

Pity about the random blackspots in the audio though, the girls did good. Could've been longer though, having all these part-covers is one of the reasons I don't really care for Utage.
 
the guy is Kawabata Kaname, half of the music duo 'chemistry'. I don't know if they've split or not, though. anyway on contrary I thought this song suits Hikaru the most. even Keiko maybe can do more solid job soloing this song than Wakana. they all did a quite good job there,though. it's just the song that is not really of my taste.
 
Hikaru and Keiko were awesome:love:. Wakana was ALMOST there, because she was slightly flat. So close. :comeback:

PS the group right before Kalafina had amazing harmonies and pitch control. Kalafina could learn a thing or two from them.

They are not a group. They just sang together for UTAGE. The middle one is the Ayaka Hirahara and shes an amazing singer! :love: Hikaru and Keiko did an amazing job! Wakana, there but not quite there. On the whole, it was a good performance!

Wait? Ayaka Hirahira? SHE SANG THE THEME SONG FOR SAIUNKOKU MONOGATARI. Her voice IS amazing holy jeez.
 
I heard the cover song when someone shared it on Tumblr and was really impressed as well. I'm apparently deaf to all those faults that some of you seem to always hear. *shrugs* But then, I've never heard the original and it's not the sort of song I'd go out of my way to listen to either. The performance itself was great though, and I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of the broadcast - Storia doesn't get much attention these days, but is one of my faves, so that'll be a nice treat that I didn't expect.
 
You aren't alone Martin, I can't hear anything off here either, other than the actual audio recording being spotty. Wakana sounds great.

I'm not gonna say she's perfect as I've noticed issues in some other lives but half the time someone comes along and goes 'Wakana was off again' I can't hear anything at all.
 
Same here, Wakana sounded fine to me, though I'm not saying I have the finest sense of pitch hehehee. Rather than off-tune it just sounded to me like the ends of some lines were a bit too low for her range, which I understand because she's mezzo-sop/sop. :XD: The part when all four harmonised together was neat :goodjob:
What cracked me up was that I first listened to the mediafile mp3, then watched the vid afterwards, and realised I mistook Keiko harmonising with Hikaru in the second verse for the guy. :XD: And in that moment, I truly appreciated just how deep Keiko's singing voice can be :ghost: Like seriously, she's amazing! :omg: :goodjob:

Yup its called Hajimare No Kaze. She also sang Inochi No Namae (One Summers Day) from Spirited Away
 
Listening to the bayfm broadcast...
The talk sounds fun as usual...lots of laughing...talking about adventures(?) and photos(?). Didn't understand much of it though :spotlight:
Storia was okay for an unedited live. Wakana was decent. Keiko was fine, though her mic volume was a bit loud. Hikaru sounded okay, but a bit strange at times? Or maybe it was Wakana. Either way, their harmony was a little weird at times. There was a little muckup at the end but otherwise it was pretty good.
RyB was awesome! Very impressed with Wakachan, esp. because it seems like a hard/high song for her to sing but she held her notes well, I think. Hikaru was a bit loud here. Not much to say about Keiko, she's just her usual. :XD:
Playing misterioso in the background straight after made me realise how similar it is to RyB hahaha

storia was fine. Wakana's high notes in RYB was impressive, agree with Hikaru being a little bit loud. And Keiko's trembling voice was pretty great as usual. :) and lots of fun during the interview, they're talking about spring season and lots of stuff. haha!.. gonna listen once more~
