^ even if we won't get to watch it, there is always hope for a CD compilation. :ayashii:

Haruna's voice here is... simply normal. Ans so is the arrangement. Which, like with Kaori Hikita, always leaves me wishing Yuki had handled it. In her hands, songs get a special aura.
But judging from the CD info posted above, there's not even a promising "Chorus arrangement: Yuki Kajiura" line. :wai:

^I actually prefer Masayuki's arrangement of Michiyuki over Kajiura's, so I have no qualms with another person arranging Sora wa Takaku. The singer in question is the problem with me.

I don't like how her voice trembles and sounds unsteady in some parts, like she's trying to sing a vibrato but it comes off weird, especially in the verse. But overall it's an alright song, I really wish Keiko could sing it at some point, she's perfect for this one.

Re: Haruna Luna "Sora wa Takaku Kaze wa Utau" (Fate/Zero ED2

I actually like it a lot more now the second listen through. Her voice is much deeper than I had originally thought, at least for this song. It seems to fit with the tone, and I love the background and strings. I'm hoping the full version will put it more together, especially with that ending.

Umm....the beginning of the song sounds so sudden...(or maybe it's because it's a short version...?) The melody sounds so beautiful but three parts of the song sounds like it come from the different worlds... :uh..:

Haruna's singing is so bland and emotionless.... and she can't touch the low note...- -"...and also a bit out of beat.... her singing is better than in the contest and her previous song... but it's still...=_____=...huhhh.....another worse version of Emily Curtis for me...

^ I think they're about equal...Haruna's voice is flat and bland, and Emily could barely stay on tune :uh..:

After a few listenings I've stopped paying attention to the vocal, it just blends in now... In a comfortable way.
I guess I'm slowly losing my semi-objectiveness on the subject, since besides the refrain, the verses are notably growing on me. :dote: To hell with whatever, I think I'm going down into "content cat" mode again. :XD:

This may be a bit off topic...but this is not the first time that I feel like "each part sounds like they come from the different songs" for Yuki's song. It's also happen with Storia and Hikari no Senritsu. Is it something relate to "key change" that Grunty mentioned sometimes...? :confu:.

^ I'd say so. Even if there are similar melodies (think of the first two lines in Storia, before and after the first chorus), having a different key naturally gives it a different mood.

For me, key changes work in some songs like Progressive, and don't work in others. It depends on what sort of song it is and how it's written...tough to describe :uh..:

I'm slowly getting accostumated with Sora wa Takaku's key change. The problem is really Haruna. This song calls for an "emotional" voice, even more than others, and what we get is a random girl who has to have a strong debut single, hence one composed by Kajiura. If she can try to become a "professional" singer (with a Kajiura song, no less), then I think I'm going to try a career in Japan as well. (well...on second thought, I wouldn't accept such ridiculous wannabe gothic lolita clothes so maybe I should give up on the idea lol)

^ On that note, I hope someone does a good cover of the song. Actually, I might buy the single for the instrumental so I can try... :ayashii:

^Do it, please.
Kajiura should just release a "Everlasting Songs 2" and have Keiko as its main singer.

@niney: :stars: :stars: :gimmeh:

@KP-X: Another FJ album :TdT: ...with Keiko covering this song :touched: - I could die happy  :imdead:

Everlasting Songs 2... Totally want :nosebleed:

And by the way, just read Haruna's official website, and it says Sony uploaded a short version of Sora wa Takaku PV at their Youtube channel a few days ago.

Unfortunately, you can't watch it unless you live in Japan (or is there some way to bypass this? Proxy?)

Yeah, a new FJ album with their singles and this song inside will be totally nice...although I prefer new songs, not old-and-recycled ones, but if there is a Everlasting Songs 2, maybe Keiko will get the chance to sing Ballad too...

Everlasting Songs 2 no! :omg: But an original album featuring a cover of Sora wa Takaku...would be nice, indeed.

Re: Haruna Luna "Sora wa Takaku Kaze wa Utau" (Fate/Zero ED2

^Or ES2 but with a lot more new songs than the last one had. And a cover of Sora wa would be cool too, maybe Haruna could still be in the song as well. :dote:
