Go Shiina & (notsomuch) Yuki Kajiura to compose for Kimetsu no Yaiba

So I watched the movie again. Love Kajiura’s songs in the movie. The 2nd part of Lisa’s song greatly fits the movie scenes. Didn’t expect LiSa’s song to actually make me emotional. Kajiura’s music ended the movie in such an amazing way. Damn! The effort they put in this movie is no joke ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Already watched it twice? Wow! The joys and advantages of living near the source! 😭

So Kajiura's track was the ending? Nice. So did Aimer's song play in the beginning then?

Im disappointed from the MV setup. First its so damn dark that ,even with full screen brightness, i had to close the shutter doors in my room to even be able to see LiSA ^^; There is some gold/silver veins running through her that kind of remind me of the berserker master from Fate/Zero. I guess the "plot" is that she turns into a demon but lights saves her at the end?

I would expect someone with LiSA's popularity would have better budget for MVs (I get reminded of some really expensive - looking ones for AIMER's songs from years before she works with Kajiura https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XeI8E20ZUE4) They basically put LiSA in a basement with a camera and some light on top, and then slapped the vain / wing effects on top.

I'm glad I never care much about MVs! :psst:

LiSA's MVs for Kimetsu have always been on the simpler side iirc? Not much camera work and they are quite minimalistic on the whole...

Edit: I think the wings of light part is a reference to 🦋Shinobu

I reeeeeeally can't wait to listen to it in the cinema!!!!

^ I dont care much either but i was really digging some that were nicely done like the ones for Houseki, Kouya Ruten, Honon no Tobira, Anna ni Ishou datta no ni, or even nostalgia, Magia and Lacrimosa, fairytail, sprinter / Saventh Heaven, moonfesta cause what was shown really fit the songs.

Imagine if it was like the old times where MVs where mostly shown on TVs. Who would pay attention to a basically black display with a few gold lines ?

Interesting video. I wonder if there any hints to anything in the movie, looking at the flowing blood that becomes wings near the end.

I am just beyond pleased that Kajiura is playing at the tip-top level of anisong for the most highly-anticipated anime saga literally on the planet!

Well, the concept is from Sony and whichever production team was involved, right? It was conceptualized and approved by them.

Aimer's song is also out. I completely prefer Kajiura's "Shine in the Cruel Night" composition melodically, harmonically, and arrangement-wise, speaking just objectively.

The MV for Aimer is also dark and confusing like LiSA's, and it also doesn't tell the spell out the story in a straightforward visual way. It's going to be a sobering and bittersweet time, but with a sliver of hope shining through.

I really really LOVE this song. My favorite part is 2:09-3.11 iirc. I like the string and the choir haha. I'm glad Kajiura made the ending song for the movie. It is actually the best compared to the opening lol

LiSA MV always so simple. Most of the time only her in the MV. The director of the MV is the same as Homura, Akeboshi and Gurenge.
