Im sure that half of it will be parallel hearts, hitomi no chikara, toki no mukou maboroshi no sora, nohara, stone cold, hitorigoto and eternal blue

Well, with Yuuka not working with Kajiura-sensei that much, Hitomi no Chikara might not make an appearance, unless it's covered by Kaori or :waii: Yuriko...

and the rest completely new songs (unless Yuki decides to cover older songs -me hopes for cover of either Gensou Rakuen or Shinkai no Kodoku) this is a short possibility that she will put Hikari no Yukue in since she didnt do so in Everlasting Songs.

Hoping for Shinkai no Kodoku in that case, definitely! :goodjob:

Or Egao no Wake...I adore that song, even though the lyrics aren't Kajiura-sensei :sohappy:

or :waii: Yuriko...

Yuriko isn't allowed to sing a solo, don't be silly. She must always be delegated to chorus duty!

I would like to hear Keiko more... :shy:

Sorry, what? Why that?

Because she never gets solo parts in FictionJunction anymore; she's always filtered into the chorus. Kaori Oda and Wakana seem to get all the singing parts, so Yuriko Kaida must not be allowed to sing as an unwritten FictionJunction rule.

It's a shame, I like her voice.

Well, whenever they release a new album, I'm just hoping for a lot more Yuriko, Keiko and Yuuka... Wakana too... I just want less Kaori because half of the songs in Everlasting Songs were sung by her.

I'd love to hear more of Yuriko, in particular. Her chorus parts are lovely and all, but I want her to have more parts. All of the FJ songs were dominated by Kaori, then there's Wakana and Keiko who are in Kalafina, and Yuuka has her solo stuff... Some Yuriko would be a nice change, especially since she hasn't really been in many OSTs lately...

I know that every part in the song is important, but it's still nice to really let each of the girls shine, you know?

I believe Kajiura just thinks that Yuriko's voice doesn't fit the kind of songs she is creating for FJ at the moment (which isn't really a lie).

I believe that if they release a new album (with new songs, dump) Yuriko will of course get the main vocal in some songs.
If not, it will be an epic fail.

And in Everlasting Songs, Yuriko's were the best!!!
Ok, I like all songs most of equality, but still, i love Yuriko's voice. T_T At least she will be releasing a new mini album.

Really? Good! I'm glad she gets to actually sing something this time. :sohappy:

Hmm... Maybe. :confu: If they don't suit, no use in using her, right?

I suppose it could be argued that Yuriko has her solo albums now, but they're just on iTunes Japan and not even on CD...all in all, they're very limited releases, so her getting more FJ solo songs would definitely be a bonus. :ayashii:

But most important, it's not by Kajiura. =(

SORRY? BUT I DISAGREE

just because we hear her more on the chorus and as a back up vocalist doesn't mean she doesn't deserve solo parts.remember Here We Stand In The Morning Dew FictionJunction cover? Yuriko is a versatile singer.do i have to explain that? :ohoho: :blood: Kaori and Wakana were given the main parts inf Fj original songs, but who knows, Yuki might give it to Yuriko next time.it just depends on Yuki's mood for the song for who gets toe who parts.

-- I would also love Shinkai no Kodoku and Life Goes On if ever FictionJunction would cover old songs (errm not so old)

Yeah, it'd be nice if they were by Kajiura.
However, the Fate/Zero PV sounds promising... I'm hoping that she'll have a good number of songs in the OST.

@Murrue: Ponti was being sarcastic, don't worry! She's just saying that for some reason Yuriko always is only in the chorus, even though she deserves to sing more songs. I think everyone here agrees that Yuriko needs more songs :V:

Sorry if I took over there, Ponti...... :desksweat:

By the way, nice to see you back Murrue! :dote:

oh because the preference of her post was just the FictionJUnction songs wherein Yuriko usually does the backing vocals (which i do not belittle).but no worries, i know it's her opinion.i respect it.

btw nine! my life was extended, so i would be lost any minute from now :blood:

I've never seen being delegated to chorus as a second-rate role. Especially since Yuriko gets a lot of interesting parts to sing. *shrugs*

Agreed.

this. Apply this to those who want more Keiko as lead as well. :glasses:

I like her Kajiuran; she's very versatile, like Murrue said, so I don't mind her just singing that. But I would also like to hear her sing solo parts as well, since I like her voice, and I think it's kind of hard to hear her in recorded versions when she's singing the chorus.

Ahah, the same can be said for my opinion here! Keiko has a very strong supporting role that honestly completes most of the songs because of how well she performs in it, but I love her voice enough to hope to hear more of it on its own.

It's kind of rare to have someone with such a lovely and deep voice, so as the contralto/alto range is my favourite, it's only natural I'd want more songs that feature it as the lead.

Sorry if I took over there, Ponti...... :desksweat:

There's no need to apologize to me, ahah. :sparkleguy: I try to reign my habit of being sarcastic and/or snarky about things since it doesn't tend to be obvious sometimes, but it runs away with me on occasion;;

That's because, while I like Yuriko's voice very much, I prefer other singers, so my bias will show there. I don't hear enough of Yuriko to like her as much as the others.

I'm sorry if that wasn't obvious.

Personally I don't see chorus as second-rate at all...but the fact remains that the chorus is mainly mixed into the background behind lead vocals, aside for Kajiurago parts. And even the Kajiurago are mixed into the background, with the only difference between them and chorus parts being that Kajiurago parts don't have lead vocals over them to block them out. It's true that Yuriko gets to sing a lot of Kajiurago, more than probably everyone else in FJ, and also backs up on chorus quite a bit (which pretty much equals her singing the entire song) but I'd still like her to get songs to herself if only to hear her singing in the foreground, in Japanese, now and again.

As for Keiko, I guess I shouldn't complain, since she gets quite a bit in Kala and also has Nohara and Kaze no Machi e. But she's my favorite, so I'm biased :spotlight:

I see :V:

@Pontia: then you should try listening to NOIR OST now :knife:

most people tend to overlook the back up vocalists and ignore it, but as for me it's a splendid role coz you do the harmony.after all you do the Homophonic Harmony. .and that's why i love Yuriko

Ahah, I'm definitely biased along with you. :sparkleguy: Though I don't really think it's complaining, just expressing a preference, since I still love all the songs they come out with.

Anyway, in the end, Kajiura knows her own composing methods best and should do what she thinks suits - otherwise it'll come out with a lesser quality and that's definitely worse that giving everyone a lead song just for the sake of it.
