OMG sorry to intrude but how were you able to meet her in person?? I want to go to ASL now just to see her (and not so much about the others....sorry). I only have the honour of talking to her on twitter.... xD

Talking about that I enjoy seeing the interactions she has with Yuki, but Yuki's tweets are sometimes very...strange. :)

Also the song, "The Giving Tree" came out today....waiting for download now. And it is the full version seeing that it is 200 yen and does not contain the word "Game-Size" on it. Unfortunately I can't purchase since I don't have Japanese credit cards :(

And yes she will release it within her next album, she only has one more songs to record before doing some finishing touches with the album! Can't wait!!

(and off topic but I feel bad that Kalafina got cut out of ASL 2011 DVD)....

Well, I used an Australian travel agent specialising in travel to Japan that managed to secure me tickets to Animelo Summer Live 2011. What I didn't realise until after I met the person from http://www.knt.co.jp to get the tickets from a hour before the first concert was that the person would be my guide for both concerts, that we would be seated in a guest box close to the stage with friends of the bands, and that we had back stage access after the shows.

I only spoke to one one artist after each of the Animelo Summer Live concerts (with my guide acting as interpreter as I have yet to learn Japanese), Minori Chihara after the Saturday concert and Chiaki Ishikawa after the second concert. You can imagine that even with limited numbers of people allowed backstage there were still lots of people wanting to speak to each of the artists.

As you can probably tell from past Animelo Summer Live videos (2006, 2008, 2009, 2010), Chiaki-san can work with the sound system and acoustics of the venue to produce an amazing sound for a single voice. Her singing at the 2011 concert (Mou Nani mo Kowakunai, Kowaku wa Nai - Mobile Suit Gundam 00 ED, Fukanzen Nenshou - Kamisama Dolls OP) struck me as beautiful and I said that to Chiaki-san after the concert with my guide interpreting for me.

Interesting about Yuki-san and Chiaki-san's tweets. I have no idea how well they have been getting on with each other since Dream Field... have they said anything publicly?

Thank you so much for your reply, and I read your blog posts !!! It must be expensive to pay for everything, but in the end def. it's worth it! Now I am hoping to get a chance to go in the future....I bought the Fukanzen Nensho CD to support her and also b/c that song is just awesome!!

Regarding twitter, yes they have been talking to each other a couple times and seem very friendly towards each other. Yuki invited her to attend her Live Concert (which she went and saw FictionJunction), Chiaki saw Yuki on television and listened to her 3 hour Kalafina radio program, and some other random exchanges. I love Chiaki b/c she actually replies to her fans. Yuki's tweets are very strange, sometimes only composed of smileys XD It was good to see that they are still good friends even though they disbanded from See-Saw.

It cost me about $2500 Australian all up for the 5 day trip, cheaper than I expected.

Thanks for your reply and your support of Chiaki Ishikawa. She is not a major artist but her contributions in song are unique.

Chiaki just tweeted about her third album!

I would quote her tweet, as I have done before, but the overzealous spam filter won't let me. Anyway, it's called "Kono sekai o dare nimo katasenai you ni" and will be released on April 25th. I think the album title translates to "As if no one can speak of this world".

Rather an unceremonious announcement, though...

Off-topic, this spam filter is starting to irritate me. Why on earth does a message with two quotes in it look like spam? I've done it before and had no problem.
