I think she's actually supposed to be the main vocalist for the entire game (which, considering the OST is composed by the guy who made the Nier soundtrack, will have a lot of vocal tracks), not just doing the OP.
Incidentally, finding out that she got the job partly because she's a vocal fan of the series is what got me to try listening to Aoi Eir. It's still hilarious to me.

Aoi Eir's second album, AUBE, is coming out tomorrow, almost exactly a year after BLAU (which was out on Jan 30). The first album was pretty cool, the second may or may not be; it's mostly unreleased songs. I don't really like most of her singles, so that seems good for me at least.

Double-postin' with some thoughts now that it's out:
Sanbika is a Kill la Kill insert song? I don't even remember it. Don't really like it either, same with Sirius.
She should just work with Hiroki Arai as primary composer. Pretty much all of her best songs on both BLAU and AUBE were composed by him.
SAILING is an okay song. Overly sweet for me, but some neat vocal editing stuff in the last third or so.
Wakusei no Uta is odd, but good. It's not really like anything else on the album (slow but intense, where everything else is pretty poppy) and will probably hurt its cohesiveness on later listens, but it's a good song. I'd like to see more stuff with Heart's Cry in the future.
A New Day is a really bad song to end the album on. It's not a very good song in general. If it had to be on the album, it should have come right after Wakusei no Uta, which should have been the penultimate song. Or something like that. Ending on something so mellow in a high-energy album with no lead-in is weird.
Overall, AUBE's not as good as BLAU, but it's pretty good. Aoi Eir should drop like half of the people who compose for her, but what do I know, I'm not a successful pop singer.

Thanks for the info, Fetucine. Guess I'll be buying the album later (perhaps on an AFA show when she comes in person so that I can get an autograph from her), but in the meantime I find myself enjoying Sirius. My Niji no Oto single will be arriving shortly as well. I did not know that there was an insert in Kill la Kill sung by her either... Better look for it on one of the episodes.

I really enjoy lapis lazuli. If only Eir uses proper singing technique this song is a gem.

Upon seeing this at first, I was stunned for a while. Then excitement has built up so fast, and so...

I really can't believe it. I swear that when they have started selling tickets for this, I will buy the VIP ticket on a heartbeat.
With this, I have finally started to listen to Lapis Lazuli without watching the anime and wow, it REALLY BLEW ME AWAY. xD
An instant favorite for me. Makes it a point now to buy her album on iTunes (unless confirmed later that the physical copies will also be sold on the event, then I will go for that instead).

They do usually have some stuff on sale at events where a performer is. They had Aube and D'azur on sale in London when I saw her there a month ago, although that was mostly due to our local Japanese music licenser having a stall there. They haven't licensed her but still had her albums though, so I don't see why it won't happen at your event.
Enjoy, she's got a really powerful live voice and a rather impressive stage presence.

Thanks @Seasonreaper! Actually I had already seen her perform live before at Anime Festival Asia Indonesia 2013 (where Kalafina also attended, hence it became my first overseas trip just because of them), but I was not that near from the stage that time and sound quality was not quite good.
Anyways, ticket details have been released, and lo and behold...
The VIP tickets to Eir Aoi's concert costs around US$55, and are only limited to 40 persons only.
Thank goodness the selling of tickets have not yet started otherwise I will be crying so much for not having much money if they decided to start the sales today. I can sense scalpers will take advantage of this, as many of us here are feeling a bit disappointed that they can only accommodate that much people. (I really don't care about the price honestly. The MEET and GREET with autograph signing is REALLY WORTH the price. xD)

I hate this... They started selling the tickets while I was still broke. VIP tickets then got sold out in hours. 
In another news, looks like Eir will not appear at Animelo due to sudden illness. Hope she gets well soon.

この度は、8月29日（土）に開催された「Animelo Summer Live 2015 –THE GATE-」 への出演を中止する事態となり、申し訳ありませんでした。
ライブを楽しみにされていたお客様、並びにイベント関係者の皆様、出演者の皆様には多大なご迷惑、ご心配をおかけ致しました事、心より深くお詫び申し上げます。
8月29日（土）未明、藍井エイルは突然の体調不良に見舞われ入院を余儀なくされました。
医師とも相談の上、歌うことが困難な状況と判断し、本人およびスタッフにとっても苦渋の決断でしたが、同日開催されました「Animelo Summer Live 2015 –THE GATE-」 への出演を見合わせることとなりました。
病名は「誤嚥性肺炎」と診断を受け、病状の経過を見ておりましたが、退院後は体調も回復してきており、9月12日（土）に開催される「きたまえ↑札幌☆マンガ・アニメフェスティバル」には予定通り出演させて頂きますことをご報告致します。
なお、今後予定している活動に関しても、予定通り万全の態勢で臨みたいと考えております。
今後とも、藍井エイルの応援、よろしくお願い致します。
