Chiaki Ishikawa

Actually the ones I was mentioning, I mentioned specifically because you said you liked Vermillion (and are some of my personal favorites from her cause of their oldskool sound) so I wouldn't necessarily take them as a proper representation of her body of work. ;P
 
I know... But since Kajiura is rarely using (almost never) the tunes she used back then in .hack nowadays and it feels like she's dumped/completely forgotten about that series, it feels like Chiaki is the one who's more 'attached' to the .hack tunes. Or, as you said, the oldskool sound. :)

Anyway it's nice listening to Chiaki's works. I've been listening to Kajiura so much I'm still kinda 'shocked' (dunno what better word to describe it) listening songs that don't turn 180 degrees from the verses to the reffrain.
 
I don't think that the Sengoku Basara songs (Ruisen, Polaris) are particularly like .hack//SIGN.

シャーベットスノウ "Sherbet Snow" from この世界を誰にも語らせないように is a bit different.
 
Ruisen is a great piece if it didn't have that weird acapella section in the middle (was it the bridge? I kinda freaked out when Chiaki started to sing faster :XD:)

Anyway, I'm not saying that Chiaki's not creative. There are lots of her songs that don't have that .hack tunes, I'm merely stating that she's still using it every now and then, whereas Yuki almost never uses it anymore. But I have to say the songs with .hack/oldskool tunes are the ones that fit Chiaki's voice the best. Natural and Mislead are <3
 
I actually don't remember seeing it either (though to be fair I'm not really into Kajiura PVs and it's been a good while) but dat budget and goddamnit, do I still love the song...

I remember that PV and I laughed at how bad it is but the song is just too good the PV is forgiven.

I've only watched 3 See-Saw PV (dunno if there are more or maybe it's just this 3), Anna ni Issho Datta no ni, Kimi ga Ita Monogatari, and Kimi wa Boku ni Niteiru. Anna and Kimi ga Ita seemed to have low budget because all they have are basically Chiaki singing while moving her body awkwardly and Kajiura having time of her life with her keyboard. Kimi wa Boku ni Niteiru seemed to have bigger budget but the PV is weird I don't get it at all...

初のバースディイベント詳細！！

皆様、こんにちは。2月に入りまして療養という形で（疲れましたのでね）南国へ行ってまいりました。スタッフや身内のススメであります。本来は南国というのはあまり自分には似合わないなぁと感じてまして、気が乗らなかったのですが、やはりあたたかいというのに惹かれました。朝から景色をボーッとみてまして、特別海にも入らず。
ヽ(ﾟ◇ﾟ )ﾉ帰国しても、体の芯が熱を帯びている気がして、思ったよりも寒さを感じないです。

さて、初のバースディイベントですが、詳細がいろいろはっきりしてきました！バースディということで、今までの石川智晶の音楽の歩みとして、デビューユニットであるsee-saw～ソロでLIVE弾き語りなどから始めたソマリ～からの石川知亜紀、そして現在の石川智晶までをアコースティック編成で歌います！
pianoは藤井洋さん。ギターはイイダケイスケさん。
トークはもちろんのこと1月の2daysライブの映像も公開します！
この日になんとファンクラブ発足！これからの月日を応援して下さる方々と楽しいことを重ねて行きたいと思い、ゆるりとやっていく気分でいます。
そして参加者全員にメッセージの入ったモノをプレゼント！
1部、2部セットリスト、別メニューです。どちらかひとつ参加して下さるのも良いし、どっちもということでしたら更に嬉しいですっ。よろしくお願い致します！

Have said it and am saying it again. Ruisen is really really wonderful (that chorus and the flute arrangement :love: )save for the bridge since it came out of nowhere, disjointed, did not follow the mood of the song + the first half of it sounded like a jam session of a jazz song + there was no overtune for the final chorus so the harsh bridge was not really needed after all. Anyone who can edit the song so it doesn't have the bridge will have my eternal gratitude.
 
I know but I can't use my laptop until unforeseeable future so I can't do it on my own :( But I really want to have the song without the bridge.
 
^ I could probably combine the regular version and the instrumental version from the CD single to create a version with a purely instrumental bridge (or even try just removing the bridge, but that could sound bad from the point of view of the structure of the song).

If anyone wants to play around with audacity, the bridge section is 4:07 to 4:40.

Nevermind rit-chan. I did one version, then another... and then I kept "fixing" and I hated everything. lol.

I remember it, it was on youtube ages ago, before they start taking down videos. :)
 
Ishikawa-san on this photo so cute! I do not like it when she puts on herself the different strange hats...
