Friday 4th July
Meeting and game
- Time : 13h-14h
- Place : SAIKO! STAGE
Varete and me arrived there kinda three hours before... OK that was really exaggerating, since at this time nobody was really there who would have been waiting for Kalafina. We decided to leave again and came back at around 12. This time met two girls from France who were also at the Animagic. The so - called meeting and game started late, and was not at all something you could call meeting. First we thought the game would be something similar to the game at the Animagic, in which fans could play with Kalafina by answering questions or try beating them in rock-paper-scissors, which however came later, fortunately.
But first, Kalafina had to answer some questions by drawing some illustrations on paper. For example:
Question: What is a typical French food?
Wakana: Steak (Suteeki)
Keiko: Macaron
Hikaru: Macaron
Quesition: What the world envies most about Japan? (I think, not so sure)
Hikaru: Anime & Manga
Keiko: Anime & Manga
Hikaru: Anime & Manga
Hikaru was so damn cute on stage, and I still can't believe after all this experiences on stage she is still so shy. After being done with her drawings, she would hide behind her sheet of paper and looked as if she would be very uncomfortable. Mostly she started drawing late, and didn't finish in time, which made her even more insecure. However, she did an awesome job and was just adorable (omochikaeri!!!)
Keiko always draws some hearts on her sheets and is jumpy and hyperactive as always.
Wakana Ootaku seemed to really enjoy it and was always smiling and laughing. I wonder what she was thinking. Maybe of a Shark, eating Gyoza in a blue lagoon.
After that there was a break with some lame comedy fillers. Most Kalafans left then, because they were suffering from bore out syndrome.
However Kalafina came back on stage and continued with the game. They needed teams of four people, so some lucky people got on stage. Two girls were teamed up with the two comedy filler guys, another girl was squished between Keiko and Wakana. (jelly)
This time they needed to imitate what was written on a paper. The team members had to guess what it was. Poor Hikalu had to imitate a pig... but the others got it in a second, as she poked her nose.
Keiko... yes, Keiko was a Stripper. And heck she was so damn good at it. Wakana screamed; "SEKUSHI DANSU!" Yeah, that was close enough :)
Wakana had to imitate a Dancer, not sekkushi, but at least we got some epic, passionate Waka dansu.
Video and pictures to be uploaded later. (I will find you and kill you if you dont upload them guys, i saw the videos)
I might as well mention that I had the best view. We were sitting down on the floor in front of the stage, which was a bit high... The girls had skirts. Oh my. What has been seen, can't be unseen...
Next was a rock-paper-scissors. The prizes where Kalafina goods. At the last game the staff members wanted to gives the T-shirt to someone else, but Wakana said: "No no, her" .... I ALMOST DIED (usually not good at this... I just kept rock all the time and by fools luck beat the 3 girls).
Signing Session
- Time : 15h00-16h00
- Place : Stand Tottori (BI41)
The queue was really long but Varete and me were one of the first to be there. Luckily it was possible to give them our presents. They were so nice and cute and we could take many photos. Unfortunately it was yet again possible to only sign official stuff and white paper the convention had prepared for them. Also showed them, especially Wakana the crochet shark handpuppet I made for her. I said "Watashi no namae wa Wakalodon desu". She gasped, "Wa... Wakalodon!? O.O"
When the signing session was over we followed them a bit. I had the courage to poke Keiko. She was like "wtf?" And I couldn't help myself... it was just so tempting to.... grab Wacchan and hug her
I apologized for that rude behavior later. But... seems she didn't mind at all. She even laughed and seemed amused. Hope so much the selfmade Shark hand puppet was amusing her even more, since it was part of our entourage for these four days.
Signing Session (reserved to the first 100 people who will buy official goods on the stand)
- Time : 17h45-18h45
- Place : Stand Wakanim Music (AF02)
For the paid signing session, I bought the Live Photo book from Consolation 2013. There was a really epic moment with an almost naked cosplayer. Hed had a hat, boots and a thong with grenades around and a gun between his legs. When seeing him, Hikaru poked his cosplay to see what it's made of, probably only then realizing he was naked. Keiko covered her eyes, saying "Wakana don't look! Turn around!" She indeed managed to turn her around, making her sign his stuff when turned away. With her eyes covered, Keiko waved at him saying "baibaaaaaaaaai!" Hope so much she did not burn her eyes. She was so disgusted and overwhelmed by that dude. Really hilarious moment :D. For the most part it went really well, but the staff members were pushing and hurrying, it was really unnecessary since there was so much time left. (These jerks made photos with Kalafina and had tons of merchandise to sign for themselves after dragging us away, however they did not let us.)
