I don't see any plagiarism of lord of the rings. Some resemblance/inspiration...but what isn't inspired by Tolkien in regards to this kind of genre? And this is coming from a huge ringer lol

This could potentially be pretty good/different, considering she's working with people she's never worked before. Or it could be more of the same hue.

It indeed sounds a bit like a Kajiura composition, however I used to be addicted to that game (Anno 1404) so I immediately recognized it. I find it pretty interesting, that a piece of music of a game produced in Germany ends up in promotional material of a chinese movie. I particularly wonder if they actually really aquired the legal rights to use this piece in the first place...:ayashii:

china is known for using stuff without permission. They did that in The Beijing Olympic too, where they used Kajiura's https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M79tap3P1qA during the Beijing Olympics http://www.mediafire.com/download/b...+Chronicle+music+in+Beijing+Olympic+Games.mp4

I hope we get something different from the rochestra stuff she's been doing in these last few years. Even if it's not necessarily good, I just want something different at this point.

George it was a floor routine. I doubt you need "permission" for that. It wasn't for financial gain.

And for Fan BingBing to be put on the plate here, I doubt they would do anything crazy like falsely credit Kajiura.

@george1234 you're overthinking the "plagiarism" part... plus I agreed with Atlas' and Kowz's post. As long as she's not the one plagiarizing things it should be alright. After all Kajiura herself must has done some research and consideration on her own about what projects she should accept and not.

^ Yes she does research, I was just menthioning what the people below her twit were saying, and also thought of the possibility that she didnt know about the director's bad fame in china until it was too late. Anyway we just have to wait and see what happens with the viewer's reception and the movie's popularity and also how the music turns out to be :)

I have noticed, the page is lastly updated on 20 May 2016 so its natural to be missing that.
(i doubt its coming out in US too like it claims)

They aparently have some information that i dunno if they are true
Zhi Dao Shi Jie Zhi You
Written by Ronald Ng
Performed by Alex Fong and TFBOYS

anyway Yk herself has said she's doing the music so there's no reason to wait for imdb to update with her name.

I really like the song on the first post! It sounds mystic, misterious and kinda dark :dote: Yeah, at some points it reminds me of other songs, but overall its a really good song itself ♥
However I wish we have a japanese version, I prefer it over chinese. Probrably just because it´s not a language I´m not used to, but anyway ~
It's nice to see Kajiura doing some work outside of Japan!

^ Did they announce any theaters ? Otherwise its hard to believe.
Yes. I checked a random one from that site's listing (you need to choose a country on the linked page) and it redirects to the theater site which happened to have LORD in its listing.
